We've been doing Lake houses for a few years and this may go down as my favorite house. Pros: great space! Spacious rooms and great teen/young space. Great living with plenty of seating - we loved the reclining sofa seats! ice machine plenty of fridge space and overall kitchen stocked nearly flat from house to dock pleasant neighbors plenty of parking was able to bike ride straight from house (across to Ridge Road). Food Lion a few minutes away. Con (and it was only 1!): narrow park of lake, NOT a no wake zone so it was loud and busy on the lake 4 of the 6 days we were there. Very happy we chose this house. This house is humungeous! - which is absolutely awesome for our family - so I can understand that the level of upkeep and maintenance must be substantial. We have always appreciated the relaxing, no-fuss ambiance of the Tiki House. That being said, it seems like basic maintenance is being overlooked, and that impacted our recent stay in the home. Hopefully these issues will be addressed soon before too many other renters are adversely affected. Overall, the house is large and (nearly) perfect for a large family gathering!

Tiki House is wonderful! Beautiful, breath taking views of Lake Anna and such a relaxing place to watch the boats on the lake, the birds soaring overhead or watching the sunrise. So much space for you and your guests. With 6 bedrooms plus the bunk room, 3 kitchens and all those bathrooms! Everyone has their own space and many spaces to come together to enjoy.

We had a great stay. We had 7 kids under 4 as well as 5 couples. We felt we had plenty of space and weren't on top of each other. The "beach" was great for the kids and adults to sit around. The tiki bar/dock felt old and uncleaned, most likely due to the beginning of the season and hasn't been broken in yet. On a shelf next to the laundry machine downstairs, it looks like housekeeping forgot to pick up clothes left behind from a previous stay. The toilets were not well cleaned either. There was also trash left in the trash cans downstairs. No fault to the owner and understand mistakes happen, but should consider a new cleaning service. Also some cosmetic damage, particularly to basement kitchen cabinets that was unappealing. I expected the grill to be in better condition, however one I could not get started and the other I had to light a match and clean thoroughly in order to use. Was disappointed and probably wouldn't have planned to use it had I known. I also had to refill a propane tank myself, which was expected due to the contract, so I am not upset about it. Otherwise, we would definitely rent again. Never felt nervous the kids would break anything and could roam around the house. Great place and highly considering booking again.

Tiki House was perfect for our group of 6 adults (age ranges 40 -70yrs) and 5 children (age ranges 7-14yrs). The house was clean and well equipped. There was plenty of room for everyone. Access to the lake was perfect. My husband put in at a marina around the corner and tied up at the house dock. Fishing off the dock was good as well, we caught several fish during the week. Grocery store and restaurants are easy to access too. The host was very quick to respond and helpful when we briefly lost power during a storm. I would highly recommend the Tiki House!

Waterfront home is big and tiki! Three kitchens to keep everyone talking and drinking. Pool and video game machine downstairs! Elevated deck on the water to socialize at with firepit right next to it! This place will surely satisfy your needs for a fun get away!

The house was beyond amazing, tidy and wonderfully clean. The beautiful decorations and the possibilities available inside the house make it the most wonderful place to spend good times with friends. The homeowners were at the forefront of cooperation and communication. I definitely recommend that everyone who wants to book a holiday home not to hesitate to choose this wonderful place. This is a wonderful home and a great layout for a couples trip as there are many bedroooms! The main kitchen was well stocked, and the extra two kitchens were an added bonus. We did have to put on our own sheets upon arrival as well as strip beds/ hamper towels and call a laundry service which was a bit odd. The power and water did go off during our stay and after reaching out to the property manager received no direction of steps they were taking to remedy as well as no reply when we notified them of the water outage. We lucked out with power & water coming back on within 2 hours or so, but this certainly could of really impacted the trip. We were lucky!

The owner was on site and very helpful about food and places to eat. The kitchen had more than enough plates bowels and everything we needed to cook with. Plenty of towels in all the bathrooms. With both living room's each with its own TV gave us plenty to shows to choose from. We used the firepit most nights and the sunsets were outstanding. The TV in the basement was missing and the stereo also in the basement only had a few of the speakers working. The Tiki bar we had to take and spend half an hour to clear all the spider webs and the radio inside the Tiki bar didn't work. There was (2) grills, both needed cleaning before we could cook on them. The one we did cook on flared up which made us turn the grill off and clean all the grease that was built up on the bottom. Only a small part of the food was damaged but the grill work well once cleaned. The dish washer was full, so we ran it to make sure they were cleaned. We did not catch any fish but just sitting on the dock was so relaxing we really did not care. The light switches need to be marked we spent time finding out which one lit what light. We also needed to buy toilet for only some of the bathrooms had it. All in all, this was a very nice rental just needed the little personal touches. We have used VRBO now for the past 4 years and always been very happy with each place including this location. We don't mean to criticize in a negative way just a few helpful hints going forward. Very happy and would book this location again.

Another wonderful family trip at Lake Anna. My family absolutely loves staying here as there is something to do for all ages and there have been major upgrades done to the house. Best place to stay at Lake Anna by far!!

Our group had a blast at this property. The multiple kitchens were a big perk (we used one for food and one for drinks!). The little cove created by the docks is perfect for floating all day. Highly recommended all around.

We had a great time staying at the Tiki House. The kids were busy from the moment they woke up until the time they went to bed.

We rented Tiki House for two weeks to accommodate the various family members who came for a family reunion. It was so much fun. The home accommodated our cooking, sleeping and activities for all the ages- from 7 months to 79 years old. Weekend boat activity on the lake is high but during the week it was calm and good for swimming. We would recommend the Tiki House!

Renting extremely easy. Communication with owner was excellent. Donna answered all my questions immediately. Property had many things other properties didn't like 3 kitchens and 2 sets of washers/dryers. Updated bathrooms. Huge kitchens and plenty if seating. And the Tiki Bar was such a plus for everyone. Highly recommend this property.

This was our 3rd time staying here. We absolutely love it. Everything went smoothly and without a glitch. We enjoyed some of the upgrades since our last stay.

The Tiki House is a wonderful place and location for multi-generational gatherings. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms so that everyone can spread out a bit, and also larger spaces for games, conversation, and, of course, enjoying the glorious waterfront!

We had a great family weekend with 20 family members from 5-83 and never felt on top of each other, except when we wanted to be. We used the main kitchen for making meals and the alt kitchen for drinks & chatting which work great. We had an unuasually hot May weekend in the 90's which meant we spent alot of time enjoying the lake. The spot right off the sand is shallow enough to wade in, and off the dock is deaper so we were able to use our kyaks and SUP. We watched sunsets and drank coffee at the TIki Bar (lots of spider webs on day 1 which did bother a few of our group, but we got them all by day 2)Great house set up for big groups to really have fun! Loved our stay

We packed the house with lots of ladies getting away from the families and we had an amazing time! With the two kitchens upstairs, we were able to keep one just for food/cooking while the other was for drinks. The bar on the lake was so cozy and fun, reminded me of Key West. The deck was big enough that we were never on top of each other and the living area was perfect for card games and movie watching one night. The linens were perfect for the beds and we had plenty of towels. We definitely are already planning for another trip next year, especially to more aquatic activities. The lawn was gorgeous leading down to the dock, which would be perfect for some lawn games. Donna is a wonderful host and was so helpful when I had questions before we left. We all loved our time there and can't wait to return - probably on separate trips with our families, as I hope to!

House and property were perfect for our trip. Being able to dock the boat right at the house was really convenient, big kitchen great for family meals, and the huge back yard made for a really good Easter egg hunt for all the young kids. House could have been cleaner and better maintained prior to our stay unfortunately but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

Super fun house with a ton of room and privacy. Game room is awesome and the kitchen is FULLY stocked!

This home is an awesome place to stay for a trip to the lake! The view was wonderful, everything was so peaceful and quiet and the house has everything you could need. The pictures do not do it justice!

The place was wonderful and had plenty of kitchen/bar space for everyone to sit around and talk! Downstairs had a tiki bar with a pool table and arcade machine! If you're into nostalgic video games, the arcade machine is perfect! The back yard is huge. Slight walk to the water and fire pit which didn't bother us. Plenty of seating for the fire pit but you do have to bring your own fire wood. There is also another roofed tiki bar floating deck over the water which is pretty cool. Overall, we had a great time and looking forward to next year!

Having been lucky enough over the years to share this amazing property with friends many times, choosing it as the setting for our Christmas Family reunion was a no-brainer. From 2 newborns to our octogenarian matriarch, Lake Anna Tikki House was the perfect choice to do some major celebrating and reconnecting with a Nana, our 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Most of us have had quite the reminder these days just how precious time is and we found it such blessing to not have to worry about being Ill-equipped for a week of fun and celebration. I’m mean, come on! 3 Kitchens??? Hello???? There wasn’t a thing lacking, from dishes to pots pans and utensils.. you may even find decorations and fun serving platters and oh, definitely the independent ice maker. The new gas range is a beaut. Coffee/ Tea in morn on porch, libations and gorgeous sunsets in the Tiki Bar in evenings are a must! We had shorts weather most of Christmas week so the kids planted themselves on the beach when they were not challenging the grownups on the humongous lawn. When the mercury started to drop, the house is full of things to entertain. From games, books, pool table and arcade game, there is something for everyone a lots of room and niches to spread out or curl up. And the beds…oh the beds! These are like Marriott comfy! And new (to us) Kings… my youngest daughter literally did a happy dance when she realized all the couples had them in their rooms. The owners are very helpful, accommodating and communication is easy. We are friends of the previous owners, and we can attest to all the hard work that goes into maintaining the property. The many ongoing improvements are an obvious labor of love. The new ramp out front and the improved grade of the path down to lake is SO appreciated. Thank you Donna and Jim for being such great hosts and we look forward to our next respite at the Tiki House. ~ T.R. NOVA

The entire experience at the house was amazing!!

After 2+ years my brother, his family and mine got together about half way between the both of us. The house was just as pictures but even bigger! We had more than enough room and though the house was fantastic. We visited in December but would definitely try again for the summer. Thanks for a great time!

We traveled from South Dakota to meet with our siblings and as many of their children as possible. There were 19 of us...everyone had the room they needed to retreat when desired and the living area held all of us. The large dining room was perfect for that family dinner; the fire pit was amazing (for burnt marshmallows, of course!); and the dock allowed us to have friends stop by with their boat to give us a ride on Lake Anna. Great place for distant families to meet. The lake and house had plenty of e tertainment for everyone. The house could use a little TLC with cosmetic issues such as leaky toilet, burned out light bulbs and slow draining kitchen sink. The beds were comfortable and the house had a great view of the lake
