Amazing house with breath-taking views. Private and spacious living accommodation which worked for adults and teens. The pool is wonderful and offers loads of sunshine with views to the vineyards . Excellent!

The property was brilliantly appointed and Maria made sure we had essentials left for us; she couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The view across the hillside were spectacular.

The pictures of this home do not do it justice, Palazzolo is much bigger than it looks! All rooms inside the house are big with plenty of open space. You could easily accommodate 2 families with their own space on separate upper floors (We only needed the middle floor to sleep our family). The pool is big and deep with amazing views over the valleys. Only a few hundred metres from the main road, but you feel total seclusion from everyone else if you like your privacy. Maria was absolutely lovely to deal with and left us alone to enjoy our time there. Whenever we did need to contact her, she responded quickly and always made us feel looked after. The town 'Citta della Pieve' is a beautiful and interesting medieval town, with some great places to eat at very reasonable prices if you have kids. We know we will be back, it's perfect!

Family and friends stayed here with us and we enjoyed a glorious week of sunshine. We all completely relaxed, and had a really chilled week, and even found it difficult to leave the pool and visit our favourite cafe/bar in Citta della Pieve! The farmhouse was very spacious, cool and comfortable. We had our dinner on the balcony overlooking the hills, where we would stay to chat and eat late into the evening. The house was close to the town of Citta della Pieve, and although we had camper vans we had no trouble parking. We had a wonderful time at Sienna, but beware if you take a camper van as they will charge you over £20 to park as it is the same amount if you are staying overnight. It is definitely worth having dinner in the famous square in Sienna and watch the sunset. We would definitely like to come back again one day.

We loved staying at Palazzolo in Citta della Pieve. The house is very well appointed and also very comfortable. We spent most of our time at the kitchen, having meals at the covered table outside the kitchen, and the pool. It has beautiful views and is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The house is perfectly located at the border between Tuscany and Umbria, so you can easily get to great towns in Tuscany (Montepulciano and Montalcino) as well as must-see towns in Umbria (Assisi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Montefalco, etc). The house is a 5 minute drive to Citta della Pieve, which is a beautiful medieval town that has great restaurants. Maria and Heikki couldn't have been more accommodating. I highly recommend this house and would return if I go back to the area.

This was our second visit to this home. An excellent house for groups of 6 to 10. I would highly recommend the location and the home.

The property is lovely. Everthing is neat and the owners are very helpful. The house is big enough for two families to stay in and the pool is superb with the gated fence surrounding it.

Un grand merci à Maria qui, malgré une arrivée très tardive (avion annulé et perte des bagages), nous a attendu jusqu'à 23h!, nous a proposé de nous faire quelques courses pour ne pas être sans rien à notre arrivée, et cela avec toujours beaucoup de gentillesse. La maison est très spacieuse, la literie est très bonne, la piscine est un vrai paradis, sécurisée pour les enfants pour une très grande tranquillité. Le jardin est suffisamment grand et il y a quelques jeux pour les enfants avec un badminton par exemple. Service irréprochable, Maria a même géré avec la compagnie aérienne pour nous ramener nos bagages, de bons conseils sur les endroits à visiter, bref, c'était vraiment un très bon moment.

We stayed at this beautiful villa with another family and so enjoyed our week there. Maria and her husband have created such an amazing setting among their vineyards and the views of the Umbrian/Tuscan countryside were even better than the pictures shown. Maria was always available if we had questions and the house was very clean upon arrival. We did not want to leave the property even though we had many hilltop towns to visit within an hour or less drive! The kids (and the adults!) spent many days in the large, perfectly kept pool. The house is set up really well for 2 families, with 2 equally lovely master bedrooms on the 2nd floor and 3 other bedrooms for the kids to choose from. The nearby village of Citta della Pieve is charming and makes for an easy place to grab a bite to eat or to stop and get snacks for the house. We will always remember our week in this beautiful setting! Oh...one important tip -- be sure to use the coordinates that Maria gives you to find the house the first time!

Lors de votre arrivée, vous découvrez l'espace de cette maison et de cette propriété. Elle est fidèle à la description du site, je dirai même en dessous. Elle est bien mieux que cela : vue exceptionnelle, propriété extrêmement propre, literies formidables, beaucoup d'espace, tout est là qui vous attend, les produits d'entretien, le linge, les livres, et les superbes cadeaux dès votre arrivée. Nous étions 5 adultes, mais aurions pu être 10. Nous avons grandement profité de la superbe piscine parfaitement entretenue, et bien sur d'une situation géographique qui nous mettait à portée de toutes les merveilles de l'Ombrie et de la Toscane. Si vous ne connaissez pas l'Ombrie, nous vous recommandons cette région, dont la campagne est aussi belle voire plus que celle de la Toscane avec autant de choses à visiter, la foule en moins. Les gens sont charmants, la région et ses villes extrêmement propres. Un grand merci à Maria et Giorgio pour leur accueil, leur gentillesse, ils sont à vos petits soins, tout en restant discrets. Maria nous a ouvert sa maison, et nous la remercions chaudement pour cela, et rêvons de revenir dès que possible. La ville la plus proche : Citta della Pieve est magnifique,, restaurants délicieux, et tous les villages environnants sont superbes, sans compter bien sur Assise, Pérouse, Orvieto, Arezzo... et l'Ombrie étant le berceau tant des Etrusques que du Pérugin (à des siècles d'écart !), vous avez compris, courrez vite chez Maria. We spent our first summer holiday in Italy in the fantastic farmhouse of Maria and Heikki. Climate was awesome, the house, garden and swimming pool were wonderful and regularly cleaned. No question was too much for Maria and Heikki. They showed us around in the area, gave us tips and tricks for site-seeing, shopping and dining. We drove quite a few kilometers but all villages and cities were fantastic to visit and we made beautiful pictures. And in the evenings we enjoyed the swimming pool, the garden and the nice Italian food. Thank you very much !!!!

This spacious farmhouse was everything we imagined with the most beautiful vistas. The kitchen was well-equipped, great dining space and the bedrooms were super comfortable. Out behind us was a beautiful vineyard and olive groves. We were in close driving distance to the most charming village we went to everyday --Citta Della Pieve. Our hosts were very accommodating and pointed us in the right direction for all the local sights. We did easy day trips to Assisi, Siena and Florence. We couldn't have asked for more. Loved it!

The house exceeded my expectations. Very large, with 4 bathrooms, lovely custom tiles in the bathrooms, wood and glass doors, on a vineyard/ olive orchard, beautiful swimming pool! Photos throughout of the home in its original form and use. Very kind owners, left us olive oil and cherry preserves made from the property crops. My family and I will be back!

We arrived to this beautiful house in the end of June. A kind couple, who were the owners of the house, were waiting for us. They gave us advice in practical problems and helped us to enjoy our two-week's holiday. The house and its surroundings were even lovelier than we had seen in the pictures. The house has lots of room for a big group. The kitchen equipment for cooking was good. The location on the hill was nice with the green peaceful scenery and breeze. On the morning, it was enjoyable to go swimming and then spend some time on the lovely yard and have breakfast. Sometimes in the evening, after one day trip to other cities, we sat in the garden and searched stars from the open sky. Our holiday in Palazzolo was absolutely amazing and we can recommend the house sincerely.

We were in Palazzolo one week in June 2011. Weather was sunny and it wasn't too hot. There were seven members in our group. Because the house is quite roomy, we had our own privacy. Even though it is an old building, Palazzolo is modern inside and well-decorated. It has all necessary equipment, including dishwasher and washing machine. The swimming pool was great! The owners were really friendly, took good care of us and told us hints where to go. Palazzolo's location is good, there is many interesting places to visit nearby e.g. Rome, Florence and Assisi. It is an excellent place to stay and we can recommend it to everyone who likes peace, beautiful landscapes and history.

The location was perfect 15mins drive from the station, with regular trains to Siena, Florence and Rome. Lots of beautiful places to visit locally, within 30mins drive, including Lake Tresimeno and Citta Della Pieve (10mins away). The owners were extremely helpful before our visit, answering questions and offering advise. On arrival we were presented with their local wine and olive oil and made very welcome. They even escorted us to the supermarket to show us the way. The villa is in a very peaceful and private location with lovely views. Pool is clean and a good size perfect for 10 people. The villa is very clean and homely, mosquitoe nets on the all the windows and comfortable for sleeping even in 30+ degree heat in August. Our group ranged from 16yrs to 54yrs, we enjoyed a balance of relaxing at the villa and touring. We definately want to go back to explore more of the beautiul Umbrian and Tuscan regions.
