Pine cone cabin was the perfect getaway for our family. Lucy and Paul were so accommodating. The cabin is well appointed with a cozy feel and fireplace to sit by after a day kayaking on the lake. Watching sunsets and making memories with our family that will last a lifetime. We look forward to returning.

Pine Cone Cabin is the ultimate sweet spot in Maine if you’re looking for peace & tranquility surrounded by nature with all the comforts of home & the coziness of a rustic cabin. Paul & Lucy are the most gracious of hosts offering valuable information on the surrounding areas...especially Momo’s Cheesecakes! We have never in our lifelong travels been to a place that was so well appointed & clean. You could literally show up there with the clothes on your back & not be missing any comforts. We especially enjoyed the “Pine Cone” theme everywhere throughout the cabin even down to the coffee cups, coasters, & smell. This was the epitome of a rustic lakefront log cabin vacation with all the nearby attractions. We will be back!

Located on a quiet side of Green Lake, the Pine Cone Cabin is one of a kind. This well-appointed cabin was absolutely perfect. There is NOTHING that the owners do not provide. We had a wonderful time kayaking, fishing and enjoying the lake. The cabin is a convenient drive to Surry, Lamoine, Trenton and Bar Harbor. Tons of amazing activities close by. We were very happy with our stay here and I am so glad my children were able to experience the awesomeness of Maine at this wonderful cabin.

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay at Pine Cone more! Lucy is the ultimate host! She met us at the cabin when we arrived, making sure that we were happy, comfortable, and knew where everything was located. The cabin itself is absolutely perfect! Gorgeous, exceptionally clean, and right out of your imagination of what a cabin in Maine should be! The sleeping lofts were such a fun part of our trip, with two of our kids sleeping on either side. The bathroom is large and very well stocked, and the shower/bath is an absolute luxury at the end of a day of playing in that gorgeous lake. The kitchen was very well-stocked, extremely clean, and even had all of the spices that we could need for running the grill outside - a Weber that produced perhaps the best steaks we’ve ever had! As for the dock/lake/boats… Well, It couldn’t have been more perfect! We spent hours sitting on the dock, listening to the loons and enjoying the views. We swam in the lake, kayaked around the many small islands, and simply enjoyed the cool waters and beautiful granite boulders that surrounded us. Lucy provided a variety of sizes of paddles and lifejackets for our use. We also appreciated the well-stocked laundry room. For kids adventuring around main produce laundry!!!! tide pods and a large Toploader were available and ready for us. That was extremely nice! Fun things to do: we were about 50 minutes away from Bar Harbor, passing through lots of small villages with fun seafood restaurants, delicious ice cream shops, and a plethora of adventures! We went whale watching (found a whole pod of humpbacks!), waded through the tide pools at bar island (starfish!), camped in Acadia national Park (amazing!), hiked the trails (bring shoes w/grip for the rocks!), checked out Thunder Hole where we did some rock climbing, and even got to enjoy the first sunrise in America in Acadia national Park. We can’t thank Lucy enough for making our trip so special. She felt like family, and we can’t wait to return! Thanks Lucy!

Pine Cone Cottage is amazing in every way! So clean and very peaceful. Spent every morning with coffee/tea at the water and aside from a day in Bar Harbor, never wanted to leave the place. The best rental property we've ever stayed at.

The property itself is incredible, the cabin is gorgeous. As soon as you step inside it smells of pine which adds to the overall feel. You have everything you could possibly need while there. We were lucky and the weather was so hot. Lucy and her husband were so helpful, kind, and friendly. If you’re looking for a place to get away for awhile, I highly suggest booking here! It’s just secluded enough but also close enough to town so you can explore and get anything you may need. 10/10 would recommend.

Clean, well appointed, and beautifully situated property near Ellsworth and Acadia. We appreciated the hosts attention to detail - tons of bath towels and kitchen tools, dog bowls, and pre cut wood for fires. We loved our stay and we’ll return next year!

The Pine Cone Cabin was the perfect fall vacation for my husband and me (and our pup Oscar) to relax and unplug for a few days. The cabin was spotless, smelled amazingly like pine, and Lucy had everything setup so we could start a nice warm fire for when we arrived. The decor, dishes, mugs, wine glasses, and even the keyring for the cabin was perfectly on point with the pine cone theme, the details were impeccable! Having coffee in the morning to the silence of the lake is something I will miss for months to come. You can hear loons at night making for a cool and spooky October experience. Acadia/Bar Harbor/Bass Harbor were short day trips and none were very crowded at this time of year. We loved coming back to the cabin before dinner to relax and stretch out- it was the perfect place to stay with a dog that likes to have some room to run, sniff, and play with all the sticks. Lucy was an excellent communicator and you can really tell they take care of their property. Can't wait to go back Upta lake soon!

Pine Cone Cabin was absolutely perfect! Exceptionally clean, comfortable and had any and everything you could possibly need. The owners were there to greet you and answer any questions you had. They had all the outdoor toys you could imagine. We spent a day kayaking around the lake and sitting out on the beach area. We were close to Acadia and other small towns. Pine Cone Cabin was a slice of paradise that we were sad to leave at the end of the week.

The entire experience was a delight. The distance from town, distance from the coast, and the stone's throw distance to a peaceful lake was the highlight; everything within reach from a quiet, warm cabin. Loons, lakeside campfires, tranquil waters for kayak and canoe made this a truly unique experience. The cellular service was sufficient for remote learning during the day when needed by our family. Our hosts were exceedingly gracious and were easy to connect when we had questions.

Pine Cone Cabin was just what our family (including two children, 6 and 8) hoped it would be! The cabin and Green Lake kept us entertained all week long. Paul and Lucy were the best hosts, always ensuring we had what we needed. The paddleboat was a great way for the kids to be able to navigate the cove, while the canoe and kayaks were an excellent way to explore. We spent countless hours fishing off the dock and jumping off the raft. We had a few cool mornings but the wood burning fireplace in the cabin was a real treat. We made two quick trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor which was an easy drive. The cabin was equipped with everything needed - and more! Games, puzzles, DVDs kept us busy on a rainy day. We'll definitely be back to this wonderful spot!

Paul and Lucy have created the perfect home away from home. This cabin is so cute and quaint and stocked with everything you could need on your getaway. To me, it is the best spot on the lake! I'll surely miss hearing the loons on the lake and sitting out on the dock to read each morning and night. The mist over the lake each morning was so incredible to watch slowly disappear. It was so peaceful and quiet that the flap of a passing bird's wings could be so loud. It's not too far from Bangor or Acadia. Not to mention Downtown Ellsworth has some great little shops and places to eat. Thanks again for creating a little paradise and sharing it with me, Paul and Lucy!

My husband and I visited this property with our two labs during the second week of September. We okayed the dogs with Lucy at booking time. Our vacation at Pine Cone Cabin was everything we hoped it would be. While canoeing around the lake we had plenty of time to compare Pine Cone's location with others on the lake. Pine Cone came out on top every time. Lucy and Paul have considered all of their guests needs. They have all the lake toys (canoe, kayak,paddle board and let's not forget dog toys). The cabin was comfortable, attractive and well stocked with linens and towels. We did not use the two loft areas above the living room, but they seemed comfortable and would be loved by children. We visited Bar Harbor twice during the week (tip: check the Bar Harbor tourist office online to avoid the times when cruise ships are in town). We had great dinners at The Lobster Pot, Provender and Finn's Irish Pub, all of which are 30 minutes away in Ellsworth.There is a Foodies tour in Bar Harbor that we would recommend and have lunch or dinner on the lawn (the indoor dining is generic National Park decor) at Jordan's Pond in Acadia Park. My favorite memory will be sitting out on the T dock in early evening while listening to the Loons on the lake. That's my Maine dream!🌲�

Nice lake!

The lovely sound of the loons signaled a private, secluded, quiet getaway early in the summer. The cabin was exactly as pictured and had all of the amenities we could want. Well, we did ask ahead if there was a Keurig, and although there was not, the owners surprised us by purchasing a brand new machine for the house! We loved the private beach and privacy of the cabin and all we could hear most days was the loons and waves breaking on the beach of Green Lake. It was still the chilly season in Maine when we went, so we loved building a fire in the wood stove at night. This cabin is a quick trip to Ellsworth's varied selection of restaurants and we switched up every other night from cooking to eating out. We hope to return to this perfect little retreat!

My husband and I loved our stay at Pine Cone Cabin! Lucy and Paul are wonderful hosts who make you feel right at home. We enjoyed sitting at the water's edge and listening to the loons, frogs, and owls at night while the moon glistened off the surface of the lake - the natural setting is very peaceful! Having the canoe and kayaks available to paddle around the lake was a real treat. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The loft was a perfect place to nap and enjoy the spring/summer breeze on the rainy afternoons. Ellsworth and Acadia National Park are a short drive away and the entire area is very scenic. We hated to have to leave!

Great comfortable cabin with all the amenities we required, peaceful and quiet. The cabin is on beautiful Green Lake and has a nice small beach on the property. Ellsworth town is a short drive away and has all the shopping requirements for groceries and most other things. We spent a lot of time down around Arcadia National Park in Bar Harbour, South West Harbor and Bass Harbor. This is an easy drive from the cabin at this time of year. Lots of lobster restaurants and our favorite was the Sea Ketch at Bass Harbour, great outside seating overlooking the harbor. Also thanks to Lucy and Paul who are very helpful, hope to be back again. Our stay (sept 16th-23 2017) at Pine Cone Cabin was perfect. The views of the lake are beautiful and we enjoyed siting on the beach each night listening to the loons and watching the sunset. The cabin had everything we could possibly need, was clean, charming and cozy. We enjoyed fires both inside the cabin and outside in the fire pit. The whole area is so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park as well. My husband and I (and 2 doggies) highly recommend Pine Cone Cabin and cannot wait to stay again! This extremely well stocked and cared for cabin is placed in the center of heavily wooded land on Green Lake. I cannot say enough kind words of our experience and the owners. We were greeted by a bottle of champagne and a very kind card wishing us well on our 30th anniversary. So very kind indeed! Aside from Maine being a spectacular destination, the setting of this cabin and the amenities within make you wish you could extend your stay (we wish we could have). The town of Ellsworth is not far but far enough for you to have your quiet time when you need it. There is also much to be seen locally in Bucksport, Bar Harbor, Bangor and Ellsworth, Acadia..the list goes on. We will never forget the experience and will certainly be back.

First of all you open the door to the cabin and Wow what a place ! Walk outside and the grounds are very nice from the washer dryer - storage building which is full of all kind of fun stuff to the new dock. They also supply canoes and fishing gear. Now lets get to our hosts Paul and Lucy which I must say are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We had 5 people in our party ages 20 - 50. Not one of us had a neg thing to say about Pine cone. What a perfect cabin. Can't wait till Sept to go back, Thank You Paul and Lucy

After a very busy summer, we were looking for a peaceful escape in the fall. We couldn't have found a better location than Pine cone Cabin. This cabin has everything you could possibly need, including a fantastic fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen and the nicest linens we've had away from home. And the lake is beautiful - we spent many hours canoeing and kayaking around it where the view of the changing leaves was breathtaking. You are in the forest where it's quiet and the sky is filled with stars at night but this location is close enough that you can travel easily into the town of Ellsworth, which we did for a yoga class, to check out the cute shops and for the best lobster roll! We also made the short trip to Acadia for hiking. Lucy and Paul could not have been nicer and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. I know that all seasons at Pine Cone Cabin must be lovely but the fall was particularly spectacular!

We had a wonderful time! We were sad to leave. Pine cone cabin has something for everyone. My 9 yr old loved kayaking. My 11 yr old loved the jumping platform. My husband and I loved sitting out at night and listening to the birds. It was really peaceful. The owners stock the place with everything and more. We appreciated the hospitality and plan to come again.

The cabin is amazing. Anything you could possibly want or need is provided. Listening to the Loons at night was so calming. Having kayaks, a canoe and a pedal boat make the lake very enjoyable and accessible. The plush towels and soaker tub was definitely a plus. Lucy and Paul were at the cabin to meet us and give us a tour. It was great to be in the woods and enjoy the quiet. My grandsons got to go kayaking for the first time and it was great to watch them. Watching my grandson fish with his pappy was amazing. Thank you Lucy and Paul for an amazing cabin to enjoy our vacation in. The time went too fast, which tells you how great a vacation it was. I would recommend this cabin to a friend or relative.
