Spent a full week here, skiing sections of the Catamount trail, completing about 65 miles of it (which passes 200 yds from the house). 7 of us had more than enough space in the house which is set up exceptionally well for skiers (and their gear), including a boot warmer that holds 7 pairs of boots…how convenient. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything we needed for cooking. The massive fireplace was a treat after a long day.
Also, it’s 2 miles from either Sugarbush resort and a short drive to the grocery store.
The only complaint from my group was not finding a juicer on Mexican night (for Margaritas).
Lastly, the host was very responsive to questions and pleasant.

The house was wonderful and David was extremely responsive when we had questions throughout our stay. Great location and we had plenty of room for the 7 of us.

We were lucky to have fresh snow for our long weekend! The house was wonderful - big rooms, great room on 2nd level with wonderful fireplace, exceptionally stocked kitchen, much needed "mud room" entry area with plenty of hooks, bench, and best of all boot and glove drying system in the furnace room! We all loved the house and thoroughly enjoyed our time hanging out at the house. Very close to MT. Ellen and Sugarbush and Waitsfield. David was a very gracious host and good communication with us. The driveway was plowed and we had no issue getting to and from the mountain. We hope to return again. Thanks David!

We planned a big family trip and this house was perfect. More than enough room, and in a great location right between Sugarbush and Mount Ellen. House was clean and well appointed. Would definitely stay again.

Close to both base areas and restaurants. It was a pleasure working with the owner and communication was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

Dave was amazing to work with and was flexible in terms of the arrangements and accommodated our every need. I was able to spend time with my adult sons and their families while visiting my youngest son who lives and works in Vermont. The house offered sufficient and varied sleeping spaces to make everyone comfortable and the location was proximate to breweries, parks and areas of interest. We utilized the property inside and out and it was just perfect. We hope to be able to visit and stay at Dave's home again. We find that using VRBO is a great way to allow the family to gather in convenient meeting places but finding a place everyone wants to go back to is rare. Thanks for a great visit.

We LOVED the home we stayed in and just loved the location, beautifully situated off the main road in the trees. David was terrific in communicating with me and making sure I knew the drill. Something we overlooked was the fact that this home does not have sheets or towels and we arrived without either. There were pillows and quilts and we bought towels and were just find with that! There’s ample room for folks and home is very comfortable. Location was ideal for us and fall colors were excellent. Perfect weekend!!

The house is large, very clean and obviously well cared for over the years. The owner communicated clear instructions and expectations which was appreciated. The house is up the road from Sugarbush, around the corner from Mad River, and about 35 minutes from Norwich University. From NU it is 10 miles as the crow flies, and about 21 after going around the mountains since there isn’t a direct route. It was a very scenic drive which we enjoyed! Go north for the covered bridge experience. We came up for Family Weekend and the house was set up perfectly for a group trip (although it ended up just being our family) or spreading out. WiFi was exceptionally good and not “country WiFi”. Overall great stay and we would definitely recommend it!

This was a phenominal house!! 6 adults spent the week comfortably in this house. The scenery was gorgeous. Well appointed kitchen, bathroom with amenities, way-too-comfortable couches. So many more things we would have liked to do, but our schedule was full!! Next time, definitely going to use the fire pit! Thanks so much, David!

The pictures do not do this house justice. The living area (on the second floor) is open, comfortable and well equipped which made it perfect for our annual family ski trip. The 9 of us fit very comfortably and with its convenient location makes it a house we'll try to visit again. Note that sheets for the beds are not provided and towels are available upon request only.

We stayed during MLK Weekend in 2019. This weekend featured a nice weather system that dumped about a foot of fresh powder in the area!
The house was well appointed and clean. The owner provided great communication throughout and was responsive and accommodating of our requests. We were a group of two families including 6 kids and four parents. There were two rooms with queen beds (for the parents) - these rooms also had bunk beds which we didn't use. Two kids stayed in the loft (which has two twin beds) and two kids in each of the remaining bedrooms, which each had two twin beds. We brought our own linens and towels. The kids brought sleeping bags.
The place is ideally located just off the road between the Lincoln Peak and Mount Ellen portions of the Sugarbush ski area. If heavy snow is expected, it's best to have snow tires or AWD, as there is a short, somewhat steep portion of the driveway that conspired against our friends' Honda van without snow tires. Luckily, the neighbor's plow guy was very friendly and happy to help get us unstuck! (Thanks, Levi!)
It was a short drive to the ski area. There is a bus-stop near the bottom of the driveway, but we didn't try it - instead opting to drive to the ski area. This was fine, although they are kind of slow to get vehicles to park there in the morning, resulting in traffic backups.
We were able to get some grocery items at the Paradise Provisions store near Lincoln Peak, which had a good selection and an excellent-looking deli. Otherwise, stock up on food before you arrive, as we didn't see any major grocery stores in the immediate vicinity.
Overall, a nice, clean, well appointed house with plenty of room for two families of 5. We enjoyed our stay!

House was more like family home than rental. Plenty of room, very nice sleeping arrangements. Kitchen better supplied than any rental I have been in.
David was very easy to work with and very accommodating.
Location is nicely positioned: in the woods, between to Sugarbush peaks and easy drive to stores, banks and restaurants of Irasville, Waitsfield.
Our group really enjoyed the stay and had a great time making meals, playing games and just hanging out after days of skiing.
Can’t forget to mention ski pole barrel, ski racks, coat hooks, bench and boot dryers!!
Excellent experience.
