It was a great place to spend time with my family for a “celebration of life” weekend. Plenty of space and beds for 6 adults and 6 preteen/teenaged kids. We enjoyed cooking for each other, playing board games around the table, relaxing in the hot tub, and making s’mores over the fire pit while stargazing. Iron River was a quick drive to grab essentials, experience pasties at The Pasty Corner, and devour the most delicious pizza at Riverside Pizzeria. It was also an easy drive to the Pine River Oxbow for a family tubing adventure. We really enjoyed our stay and have left with great memories. Thank you so much!!

Four girlfriends loved the place. Very comfortable beds and cute decor.

Our party or 9 had a great time at Timberline. It's super clean and well-equipped. The hosts communication was great! It could definitely use some updates but everything functions just fine. We hope to book again!

We live the location and amenities of this cabin. There is plenty of space for sleeping and the setup works well for our families. We have stayed twice and plan to hopefully stay again in the future.

I loved that it was very close to Ski Brule, and we had a view of the slopes from the hot tub. It was clean amd spacious. I didn't love that there was not a smoke detector (that I could find, anyhow) and the wi-fi network didn't even appear to exist.

Clean and full of conveniences. Plenty of cozy space with comfy blankets and a well stocked kitchen. Trails and Ski Brule are a short walk and the hot tub was an amazing place to unwind after a busy day.

Please look no further. This place has everything you need to every detail. Central to everything and we saw more deer and wildlife than expected.. actually lost count. My brother and I were born in Iron River, lived on caspian hill through our childhood, and this Chalet made us feel right at home.. don’t hesitate, you will enjoy this gorgeous Chalet!

This space was perfect for my family! Location was great, everything was as described. Heat was a little wonky (a few people thought we just could never get it warm enough, but I love it colder so :) Management was very responsive and accommodating. The “kids room” was perfect, even had one extra bed than I thought was described. It slept 5, which worked perfectly!

My family had a great time. Property had everything we needed for our stay. Would book again.

We liked the house’s location to Ski Brule. It was clean and plenty big for our two families. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub after a long day of skiing/boarding :)

Very pleased with this VRBO. Clean, we’ll stocked with comfortable beds, pillows and blankets. Hot tub is well maintained and overlooks the ski hill. Super cheeky decor, we had fun checking out the themes of the different rooms. The Owl room takes the cake!! Great owners to communicate with, no problems at all. We’ll be back next year!

The fireplace on the top property didn't appear to work. We contacted who we thought was the property management based on provided materials but they had not been managing since before COVID. Otherwise everything was great

Great location for skiing at Ski Brule! Awesome hot tub!

Everyone had a great time. Loved the saunas and the hot tub. It was great that all the necessities linens toilet paper basic soaps even coffee was in good supply. Great location in a nice neighborhood. We will be back.

Great facility for a large group. Only downside is that there is no direct access to the top and bottom without having to go outside. Everything else was great and overshadowed the one downside.

Timberline was a great place for our extended family time in the UP. Everything was at or above expectations. Alison and Brian were great to work with; we had no issues while staying at the property and it is a well appointed chalet. Room for lots of people and all the expected amenities, even firewood for our evening bonfires. Hot tub was clean and in excellent condition. An interior access between the upstairs and downstairs would be nice but it wasn’t a big deal overall. There were small glitches like a stove burner that only worked sporadically but that was also easy to work around with two kitchens in the place. Thank you for a very nice stay. We appreciate everything!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It had plenty of room for our family and all their friends that came along. The 2 units were nice. Plenty of room and 2 fully stocked kitchens were nice to have with a bigger group. We enjoyed a night building a fire out by the firepit. It was too hot to try the hot tub but it looked really nice! There is no air conditioning, but there were box fans there. Once we got those in the windows at night, it cooled the place down really nice. Would definitely recommend and will stay again!

Stayed here with adult children and their spouses for a family vacation. House was very accommodating and well stocked. Had a couple of questions while there and got prompt answers. Would stay here again!!

Unfortunately Brule was closed due to COVID and unseasonably low snow fall but we decided to go for the weekend anyways and had a great time. Awesome sledding hill not far away in Caspian. Very nice hot tub. The cabin was great. I don’t think it would be big enough for 16 really but 12 would be fine.

We had a group of friends with kids that stayed at the property. We enjoyed staying at the house and there was plenty of room for all of us, but we weren’t able to take full advantage of stay and ski concept given Brule was closed. We ended up driving to Big Snow one day and then just enjoyed our time at the property and in the hot tub when we were there and it worked well based on our needs. Hoping Brule opens up for the 21/22 ski season!

We have rented quite a few different places in the ski brule area in the past 10 years. Timberline is the most up to date and cleanest place we have stayed at and has a very functional layout. We would definitely stay here again.

The hot tub was really nice. Had issues with both fireplaces... they don’t start by themselves when you turn up the fireplace heat. Had to take the bottom apart to light the ignition. Owner offered to have someone come look at it the next day- but I figured it out MacGyver style before they came. The upstairs door locked us out while we were in the Hot tub- huge issue because it happened late in the night and the owner was not responding if there would be someone coming to let us back in in the morning. Everything was locked inside- my cell phone charger our clothes, food, keys to the car, our shoes, everything. So we ended up sleeping without dinner in the downstairs apt and not knowing if someone was going to save us in the morning. So I called the police to help us the next morning, and just then someone pulled up to open it for us. It was actually really scary because there is no cell phone service where this cabin is- except to make 911 calls. So it truly is rural. Suggest keeping the keys with you at all times so this doesn’t happen to you. Also- I wish we could have only rented half of the cabin- for a cheaper cleaning fee, I’m sure the whole $150 cleaning fee is for the whole place. It’s like 2 cabins with separate entrances. But I guess in the end we needed the lower apartment so we weren’t sleeping outside after getting locked out. Also very far away from anything cool to see in the Upper Peninsula- had to drive Hours to go see anything worth visiting. I should have researched this more before we went.
