The view oh that wonderful view. The road and paths are steep but it is well worth it to be able to wake up to that view every morning. Every beach shack should have a wood burning heater and this was one of the easiest to light and control. The kitchen got a work out as we like to cook.

The property had every amenity to sit comfortably and observe the ocean and weather. However, one of the couches is long overdue for an upgrade coz springs have sprung. Had we observed the tides more closely we would have been able to walk from the property along the waters edge to Apollo Bay.

The house was lovely, with a great view and everything we needed.

Driving up Panorama Dve we were excited to see the position of this house. Lovely large windows overlooking the sea. At night we could hear the waves. The house was well appointed and could easily house 2 families. Only problem was that it was advertised as pet friendly but the back yard wasn't enclosed - only a balcony.

- Photos of property are outdated - Dead flies squished on blinds and walls - Door nets extremely dirty - Bed sheets covered in hair, bottom sheets looked like they’d never been changed -Beds + sofas extremely uncomfortable - 1 bed doona had ‘white stains’ on the underside, I don’t think I need to say anymore about what that is. - Master bedroom had a disgusting odour which smelt like an animal had died under the house a while ago. -Contacted the property manager who said they would try send someone out, however didnt and we ended up leaving a night early as the smell was making us feel quite ill. Property manager was really helpful, sent a lady out with fresh sheets, said she would discuss with her manager about a refund for the last night not spent. If the above issues were dealt with the stay would be lovely as the view was stunning.

Fabulous property, excellent location. Had a fabulous time. BUT Paid for linen, where I had to pick up linen in town, make beds, unmake beds, and return over 20kilos of linen. I presumed when you paid for linen - you paid for it to be on the beds and in the bathrooms,- not on the property managers office.....

Property was exactly as advertised, great views, lots of amenity and great location!

You can’t beat the view over the ocean, but the kitchen needed a good clean, there was no proper pantry, the cupboards smelled musty inside, the main couch needs to be replaced and the outside area for dogs is totally inadequate. The master bedroom is a good size and both the bathrooms are lovely.

A later check out of 10.30am would be ideal. Overall great stay :) Some confusion with linen however, real estate said not provided however it was as property said it originally would. We brought our own so wasn’t a problem.

The view was splendid, but the house was quite poorly maintained. Light bulbs were broken, door knobs were loose, dishwasher was not working, heater in room not working. It would have been a more pleasant stay if the house was more well maintained.

Comfortable for our family of 6 adults. Disappointed with the false advertising of free wifi which was one of the criteria for our decision to book. No wifi at all! Spoke to the agent who were placating but did nothing.

We had a wonderful time in this comfortable holiday home with spectacular views over the beach. So relaxing. Plenty of firewood to keep us warm too. The bath on the deck outside added to the relaxation, just the sound of the birds and the waves in the background.

Cape Paradiso's position affords it fantastic views of the ocean, however the steep driveway and stairs would likely be challenging for some and particularly elderly people.

My partner and I stayed at Cape Paradiso, and offered some feedback to the rental agency, which was going to be forwarded to the owners. Not sure how much if anything was done about it, as there was no follow up. Would definitely not recommend staying - for the price paid, I would expect a lot more. We arrived at the house and the views are amazing. Considering how over-saturated the holiday rental market is in Apollo Bay and surrounds, especially in the off peak season, the view alone is not worth the price being charged. We have stayed in a variety of accommodation, from caravan park cabins to five star hotels. There are a number of issues with the property that we would have expected (and accepted) from cheaper accommodation. 1. Lack of kindling. There was an abundance of firewood, but no kindling. Lighting a fire without kindling is a tough ask. When I checked the property instruction folder, it indicated we were to purchase our own kindling. I wouldn't have had an issue with this in a cheaper property as I understand you get what you pay for. I would expect kindling included in higher priced property such as Cape Paradiso. 2. Gas left running. When I stepped out onto the back decking, I could smell gas. It was very strong. When my partner checked he found the gas for the bbq had been left running. If the maintenance person has been out that day (as we were told) he would have smelt it too as it was right next to the faulty decking board we were told about. We assumed he was either not out that day or just didn't care. It was of particular concern as my partner has recently stopped smoking, but we hate to think what might have happened if he were still smoking and had stepped out for a smoke near running gas. 3. Dog faeces left in back yard. I would assume the point of charging customers a cleaning fee if they don't pick up after their dog, is so that it is cleaned up before the next customer. We were not impressed to find the dog faeces, because it indicates the previous person would have been charged a cleaning fee for something that was not cleaned up. If someone stayed here in late September and was charged a dog cleanup fee, I'd advise you request a refund as they certainly didnt clean it up. Note: we did not bring a dog. 4. Faulty outside decking board. We were told that this was recently noticed (the morning we were checking in) and someone would be out the next day to fix this. No one arrived the entire time we were there to fix the decking board. It might be worth mentioning that the boards would probably maintain better if they were weather proofed. 5. Remote control missing batteries. One of the remote controls was missing batteries. This is only a minor issue and if it had been the only issue would not have been worth raising. I would have expected this to be checked by maintenance. 6. The outside shower was loose and could not be tightened. Really disappointed with the quality of the house - as mentioned in previous reviews, the furniture is worn and needs to be replaced. Definitely not worth the price!

A lovely long weekend at this cosy house with amazing views and a lovely fire place. Teenagers and small children loved the house as well as adults. Great for small kids as there were toys and games and great for adults as there were great cooking facilities.

The view at Cape Paradiso is magnificent. The house is comfortable but we were a little disappointed with the state of the home. There are many repairs that need to be done to the home and definitely need a screen door at the front as the amount of insects that enter the house is quite amazing. The driveway is quite daunting and if there are any elderly people considering staying at the home, they should be made aware of the steps to get to and from the car and also the walk down to the beach is ok going down the hill, but hard work coming back up such a steep road and driveway. The home is well furnished, but the couch is the most uncomfortable that we have ever encountered. As previously stated the view at the home is absolutely magnificent, but unfortunately there are many negatives to the home. Great for just a couple of days, but we stayed for 10 days and in the end, we were glad to come home.

The advertised photos were probably taken 10 years ago, so some of the furniture and the house is showing wear and tear, but it is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and modern ( though no coffee machine) has quite a few cupboard essentials like salt, some spices, cooking oil, coffee/tea, washing up liquid etc, has very effective reverse cycle aircon in lounge/kitchen/dining area, as well as wood heater and plenty of wood, so we stayed in middle of winter and the house was warm. We had the bonus of king parrots, corellas, and other birds come and feed at the balcony, The house is on a very quiet street, the view is fantastic, would happily stay again. If you have a pet though, not a properly enclosed yard, but there is a small fenced off space near building (maybe 2m x 8m?) that is not suitable to leave a big dog there for more than a short time. Parking is also a little awkward, as road and drive are narrow, but otherwise, house is great.
