I would book this house again in a heart beat. Pam was absolutely great to work with. She responded quickly to all of my messages. The house is so beautiful and spacious. There were so many wonderful places to enjoy that we just couldn’t choose. The house was also well stocked with many essential needs and it was very clean. We loved the charm and character of the community the house was in and how close it is to the beach. This house is a must for any large gathering.

This was one of the best VRBO stays ever! The communication from the owner was excellent, very accommodating and provided a lot of great information prior to the stay. The house exceeded our expectations. It was full of little surprises and the attention to detail was so appreciated. We will definitely be back to visit this awesome property. Highly recommend!

The location is perfect! There is a swimming pool right at 4 houses ahead, and 5 mins walking to the beach . We stayed there for four days and the waves are all very soft, there is no wave at the last day we stayed . And the temperature is perfect .

We all loved the location, the house and the amenities. The house had everything needed and everything wanted; even provided more than the basic “starter kit”. We loved it!

Our group included four adults and seven children ages 8-16. The house was incredibly clean and was stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patios and the charming neighborhood with amenities that included a great pool/splash pad, ice cream/coffee shop, and smaller beach area. The house is just a short 5 minute walk to the beach and we all appreciated the convenient boardwalk to avoid walking through the sand for much of the journey. The host was incredibly easy to communicate with and even went the extra mile to reach out to us when a priceless stuffed animal that was left behind. She called and then even covered the cost to have it shipped to us. We wouldn't hesitate booking at the Great Lake Escape again! Many great memories were made!

I have only good things to say about our stay-- the property manager took care of every detail we needed and we had an amazing time! Will definitely stay here again!

Excellent location and beautiful accommodations. From the flowers near the front porch to the super cleanliness of the house, the whole family enjoyed our stay. Nearby zoo, parks, pool and places to eat or buy food were all enjoyable and convenient

Our stay could not have gone better and we hope to stay again! The location is perfect, we walked to the beach with three little kids and also walked to the pool because the house location is right in between the two. The house comes fully equipped with wagon, beach towels, chairs, umbrella and ice machine. We really did enjoy our time! Thank you for having us Pamela!

This was one of the cleanest and fully stocked houses we’ve ever stayed in :) The kids all got to spread out where they wanted in the bedrooms, very nice spacious bathrooms and bedrooms. This house is in a cute neighborhood where you can walk to the beach. It’s super all around, highly recommend!

The house was exactly as expected and advertised, but was very pleasantly surprised by the household items (quality and quantity of bedding and towels - rare in rentals! Slept like a baby with many nice pillows), bonuses like an ice maker, but mostly I didn’t know the neighborhood was so lovely. It is it’s own little beach-y pleasantville and we really didn’t feel the need to venture outside of the community because there was plenty to do right there with tennis/other sports, the pool, ice cream shop, and neighborhood strolls. Would definitely return!

This was the perfect getaway for my family. We have two young kids and the house and surrounding area was super family friendly. The house is a very short walk to a pristine beach and also close to a small lake (great for fishing), a zoo and a coffeehouse. The house was immaculate, organized and great for lake living. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into making sure guests are comfortable. She thought of everything. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

We stayed at this house in July with 2 other families and it was wonderful. The house had just about everything you could want. It was a short walk to a great beach and the Beachwalk neighborhood had nice amenities as well. Pamela was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend and would stay there again

Charming home that was spotless, sunny, roomy and very well appointed. From plentiful and good quality towels and bed linens to a kitchen that had everything, we were impressed and happy. Love the two screeened-in porch areas — great for bug-less evenings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & Pamela was very thoughtful in providing everything to make our stay very comfortable. The house is beautiful & spacious & has everything we needed. Unfortunately it rained almost the entire weekend & we weren’t able to utilize the beautiful porches, but plan to go again & hopefully the weather will cooperate. We had a great time & look forward to our next stay!

We were very pleased with this rental and it's accommodations for our family. It had excellent amenities, shops, and activities to engage in for the short time we were there. It is also kid friendly. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay in Michigan City, Indiana.

This property was everything we had hoped for and so much more. We were getting together with extended family which included adults and young children/babies. Pam was fantastic to work with. She was very quick to respond to questions we had while booking and leading up to our trip. The house was beautiful, clean, very organized, and had EVERYTHING we needed (fresh linens, soap, shampoo, dishwasher and detergent, clothes washer and dryer with detergent, coffee/tea/creamer, salt/pepper, napkins, paper towels, crockpot, blender, all the kitchen supplies you could imagine, grill, DVD player and Smart TV) . . . and even things we didn't realize we needed until we were there (beach towels, beach supplies including lots of beach chairs, a beach wagon to get things down to the beach, small cooler, stand-alone ice maker, bottled water, board games for all ages, a portable blue-tooth speaker, heated outdoor shower to rinse off beach sand before entering, and so much more). The house itself was amazing with two screened in porches in the back (one on each level, perfect for playing games in the evening or eating), a super comfy porch swing on the second floor front porch that was perfect for reading or just watching the stream of people passing by to go to the lake or pool, and a second story deck above the garage in the back perfect for evening cocktails and lounging on the huge sectional. The neighborhood was fantastic - we felt like we had stepped into a tropical paradise with all the beach grass yards and golf carts around the neighborhood (we were visiting in August) - all within just over an hour drive from Chicago. The pool was great (warm, clean, separate fenced wadding pool for toddlers) and very close (about half block walk). We'd walk the block to the beach entrance each night for the sunset. People around the neighborhood were so friendly and we felt very safe. There was plenty of parking for our 4 vehicles. We have several runners in our family who all enjoyed being able to run around the area. It was amazing. I can't say enough great things about this place. We would highly recommend it and hope to return again in the future!

Had a large group and house had everything we needed. Beach towels chairs umbrellas beach wagon. Most useful was the free standing ice machine in the house.
