Staff were all super nice. The property as clean and right on the water. Cruz was super nice and answered any questions quickly!

Cottage was perfect for us. Loved the views of the ocean & hearing the waves. It was also close to Malibu pier & nearby restaurants.

Everything was great. We really enjoyed the unit.

Property is easy to find and right on the beach. You can hear and see the ocean views from the condo. It was great to be able to step onto the beach and they did a really nice job with having towels and ways to remove the sand coming from the beach. The condo seems to be a work in progress with updates happening on the property. It does still need some work.

We had a fabulous time!!!! If we could live there forever!!!! Amazing.

The place is right on the beach. Super cute and clean. It’s definitely beachy, meaning the salt water has made the patio a bit more rustic but the patio furniture was nice, I feel like most places at any beach have a bit of the beach, rustic vibe. Waking up to the ocean is such a treat! You can walk to the pier and nobu and having meals at the dining table is magical, right on the water. This place was worth every penny we had the best weekend!

This property is overpriced and in lousy condition. There are health and safety problems as well as aesthetic issues. The fireplace gas valve leaked when turned on. There was a leaky sewer pipe, dripping sewage. The light on the outside stairway was not on causing the stairs to be dangerous at night. The beautiful photos in the ad are not representative of the actual condition of the property. The highlighted “floating” dining room with a 180 degree view of the ocean had windows that were cloudy, significantly obscuring the view. The bathroom window screen was ripped and the sill was so deteriorated that the window wouldn’t close. The Promotional photo of the balcony showed that it was in great condition with 3 wooden slats and a lovely padded lounge. The actual balcony railing had 6-7 old slats with chipped paint and different furniture. We spoke to the property manager about all of this this and he seemed to have known about the problems already. No resolution was offered to compensate for these issues.

My family and I had a great time at this Malibu Beach House. Nothing beats staying on the beach and listening to the ocean waves. Communication was great! Home was very clean and the view was perfect! We enjoyed our time walking on the beach and enjoying the nearby Malibu Pier. At night you can see the moon light shining bright across the ocean. Not many places you can see that. It's a must stay! Our family had a great time and made awesome memories.

My wife and I went for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it! We loved being next to the beach and being able to go on the deck and have breakfast with sound of the ocean!

We had another amazing and peaceful stay at this cute little place....this is the perfect getaway for anyone needing a little R & R...excellent weather, bright and sunny...we couldn’t have asked for more.

Amazing spot, felt like vacationing in a dream. Cruz the property manager took great care of us, even though I messed up the check in process. Only stayed two nights, drove away only wishing for more time there. Don't pass this up if you get a chance to stay here!

The building is very old and falling apart,I would not recomend anyone staying here. It looks like they are waiting for the next storm to destroy the building and collect the insurance . Very disapointed.

Beautiful tropical oasis located walking distance to the beach and restaurant’s in Carlsbad. Rooms are a little small but it’s nice to have access to a kitchen.

The property and views were breathtaking! Nothing could have gone better for our short trip to Malibu. The management was superb. We were extremely pleased with our stay, and will definitely come back!

This apartment right ON the ocean was just perfect for our 5-day stay in the Los Angeles area. All the necessary items were included for our comfort and the view was incomparable. A short walk (on the beach if the tide was low enough) to both Nobu and Malibu Farms on the pier. Couldn't have been happier. Yes, the sound of the waves was quite loud, but that was part of the charm, and it drowned out the sound of the highway noise! Lovely support from Colleen. We'd like to come back again.

We had a wonderful stay, Colleen was super helpful with any issues we had (which was only the WiFi, and it was fixed quickly). The location is fantastic, the view is fantastic, the property is very clean and the bed is VERY comfortable. I do agree with some of the comments that the property is worn and could use some maintenance. If you can look past that it’s a great location.

This was my best Birthday ever! This place is amazing...so comfy, such a great view of the ocean, just an all around perfect vacation. It was peaceful and the walk to the beach was easy and so much fun with the family. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back. Thanks again, Jennifer

This is my 5th time to Malibu; 1st time renting an "attached" unit (vs. stand-alone house). PROS: 1) Pictures represent the interior perfectly. No surprises there. 2) Valerie Dawson responded to my VRBO messages within 24 hrs, and advised it would have been even quicker had I called/texted her. 3) Keyless entry is nice (no having to take keys to the beach). 4) SONOS sound system is amazing. Just download the free App to your mobile device, "connect to existing system", and your selection of music comes out living room speaker. 5) Kitchen and bathroom nicely stocked. Unit was very clean/comfortable. 6) There was never a low tide (which may be a CON if you like walking/laying/sitting on the beach). The waves crashed against the complex day and night (even during clear/beautiful weather when the wind itself was not perceptibly strong), so violently at times that it shook the whole unit. I loved it. 7) Location! Within 500 feet of V's and Nobu's and short distance to Moonshadows, Malibu Seafood and Duke's. 8) Bed very comfortable. 9) Big screen TV and Direct TV were very nice. CONS: 1) The exterior is....underwhelming. It looks much like an abandoned Motel 6 as you approach the unit. Don't let it scare you though - the interior makes up for it. 2) Bring power strips!! Outlets are scarce and inconveniently located - charging multiple electronic devices a challenge. 3) Sight line is lovely, but only allows for views of sunrises (no sunsets). I've stayed at Malibu houses that allowed for both. 4) Only 1 parking place means that guests have to scrounge around on PCH for a space. Can be a pain. 5) Bedroom is not on the water side of the unit (can't SEE water from your bed - but you CAN HEAR it!). 6) If you have Verizon, reception is terrible, so don't plan to talk on your phone. Wifi is a bit better (for email/texting), but not fabulous. 7) In my opinion, only 2 could stay here comfortably. It does "sleep 4" (due to living room pull-out), but I doubt >2 could easily navigate the limited living space and 1 bathroom. I was alone, and it was perfect. 8) I prefer the privacy of detached house; kind of stacked up on top of each other. 9) They were doing repairs to the underside of the complex during my stay; at times, the noise and vibration were mind-numbing. Valerie explained there was no avoiding it, since the workers were at mercy of the tides. 10) A/C Units (living room/bedroom) louder and less convenient than Central Air.
