We had an incredible time here with our three-generation family group. Everything was perfectly maintained and so comfortable. There were many thoughtful touches around the house, in addition to having a gracious and practical layout. We enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon snacks on the lovely screened porch, watched the sunset from the upper balcony, and enjoyed much time on the beach, which is just steps away.
Fripp Island is such a gem of a place, with wide open kid-friendly beaches, warm water, beautiful vistas in every direction, and so much natural beauty.
Berta was an amazing host, very patient and quick to respond to our many questions :) We will absolutely be returning!

Great location right on the beach. The screen porch was wonderful and we all sat out there a lot. The open living, dining and kitchen were great with a direct view of the beach. The master bedroom was huge with a good king size mattress. The other bedrooms could use new mattresses. The sitting room sofa bed needs a new mattress. More washcloths please. The owner, Berta, was great to work with and very approachable.This was a great house for a big group and we had an awesome time!

We love the location and have stayed here before. Loved the recent upgrades on the kitchen remodel and the new windows, paint and blinds. Everything was as listed and great communication with the property owners from check in to check out. We will be back!

We loved the house and the view is spectacular!! We tried to get a little time on the beach each day ❤️ We were surprised that there weren’t any beach towels to use and we didn’t find the beach chairs until half way thru our stay. The setting makes up for all that ~love the sound of the surf!!

We have been to Fripp before and stayed previously on the marsh side. This time we were right on the ocean. We had a great time, had friends visit and one of our sons. You can't beat walking right out on the deck and being on top of the ocean. We loved how the tide would change from right up to the rocks to about 100m out. Really gave a nice change of perspective. It was almost a full moon when we were there and that also impacted the tides, which was cool, not to mention it was so bright from the moon, we could see so clearly. A very relaxing stay and enjoyable time with family and friends. And the Frogmore Stew we made with fresh shrimp from the Gay Fish Company was awesome too!

Property was as described. Good communication. Sheets on several beds were obviously not washed. Had to spend several hours after arrival washing and drying sheets. Host claimed that all had been washed. Some floors were not too clean either.

We enjoyed the house but especially the screen porch watching the afternoon storms. It is wonderful being that close to the beach.
The house worked good for a large family and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Was a fun week.

Great for families
The location is great. The only negative would be that the house has some minor maintenance issues or things that are in a little bit of disrepair. Some of the doors stick, the screen porch door needs to be rescreened, knobs are very loose, etc. The layout is good and the Master area js huge!

Great Vacation Home
We loved our Fripp Island stay! This house is right on the beach with our own private deck and walkway. Minimal people on the beach makes it feel as if the entire beach is your own. Great communication with the homeowner and everyone on the island is friendly.

Easy reservation and check-in process. House was clean upon arrival although house keeping was still in-process for 20-30 minutes after check-in time. Plenty of room inside, great views from the living room, master bedroom, and screened-in back porch. A stone's throw from the deck to the beach - can't beat the convenience. The beach is great, very private.
We would stay here again and recommend this rental.

Great location for beach access
We loved the location and access to the beach. Off season a bit so no crowds anywhere we were. We slept 9 very comfortably. Lots of room to eat and congregate. Berta was very accessible and helpful.

Fripp Side Ocean Front
Property Manager could not have been better, more responsive. Took care of small problem at check-in. Really only draw back was garbage area. Someone sent to clean up but really needs more attention than that, Flies and deer as a result. Property nothing fancy but location and living areas wonderful. Very Positive experience at Island we know well.

On the Fripp Side
We have rented The Fripp Side on Fripp Island 3 summers and plan to return next summer. The house has a kitchen / great room that easily holds our large family and has room for multiple cooks in the kitchen. The bedrooms are roomy with large closets. The master suit upstairs is huge with a large sitting area and bath room. The location is perfect with private decking to the beach. The owner is very accessible and responded immediately when we had a small issue with Internet
( this was an island issue out of her control). This was truly a great experience for my family.

Best Beach Location
No enclosed outside hot/cold shower, could use new better mattresses and automatic bathroom lights were annoying. But the house is great. They have done some bathroom updates, amble comfortable new couches and chairs, plus lots of new decking everywhere. The outside ocean area is amazing! So much room and the private deck is steps from the beach.

Seven friends spent a glorious week in this lovely home on the beach. It provided everything we needed to relax. Splendid ocean views from decks, balconies, the living room and screened in porch; steps right onto the beach; ; a well equipped kitchen; comfy bedrooms with an elegant master suite, and ample space to spread out. This is a really nice, comfortable house with plenty of space and awesome views of the beach and ocean. Kitchen is especially well equipped and easy to work in. Master suite, including huge bathroom, mini-bar and fridge, is luxurious! Screened porch is a big plus. This would be a great house for any large family group. Beach location is ideal.

This was a very comfortable, spacious beach home. Our family loved the screen porch, decks and having a shower right as you come off the beach to hose off. The kitchen was well stocked and Berta was very responsive to any questions we had. The ocean views from the living room were fantastic. The location on the island was great. Best spot on the island!
We’ve stayed on Fripp many times and this by far has been our favorite beach stay! The home had plenty of room and the ease of walking just a few steps to the beach was priceless! One of our favorite features was the back deck where we lounged, listener to music, and played cards. Berta was an awesome host and answered questions right away! We hope to stay here again soon.

Every time you look out at the Ocean while sitting in the large open “kitchen-grandroom” it brings a smile to your face.
