Cottage Next to the Creek in Historic Cascade Canyon At The Foot Of Pikes Peak

Cute and cozy

It was a little tighter than we expected, we are both tall people and I think we may have hit our heads in the bedroom at least a dozen times a piece. But it was quiet at night and the creek was so peaceful. The host in the main house brought us a bottle of champagne for a wedding gift and that was so sweet.

This was by far one of the best vacations we had. The little cottage is a central location to so many hiking areas and attractions. Sitting in the hot tub and seeing the peaks was breathtaking. Our last night there we walked to Heizer Trail which is just past the cottage, and hiked up to one of the peaks we stared at every night. The cottage has just about everything you need for cooking as well. Would absolutely stay again, and we have already recommended to our friends and family!

This cabin was a beautiful getaway just moments from Manitou Springs. Even though the house was not large, it had absolutely everything I needed for a great stay.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. Whenever we needed anything our property manager responded within minutes. The location was perfect; close enough to downtown that it was an easy drive while also feeling secluded. It was so peaceful sitting outside having coffee overlooking the stream and spending our evenings in the hot tub. Our favorie hike of the trip was when we walked out the front door and up the walking path to the mountains from the street!
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay near Colorado Springs and the beautiful sights.

As we arrived at the cottage, nestled in the heart of the mountains, it was clear we were in for a treat. This cabin isn't just a place to stay; it's a carefully curated experience, designed to immerse you in the beauty and serenity of Colorado Springs.
Every corner of the cottage is thoughtfully designed, blending rustic charm with modern comforts. The attention to detail is evident, from the cozy furnishings to the fully equipped kitchen. It felt like a home away from home that turned a simple stay into a special experience.
The location of the cabin is unbeatable. Situated with a stunning view of the mountains, it became our daily ritual to sip our morning coffee while soaking in the breathtaking scenery. The adjacent creek, with its gentle bubbling, provided a soothing soundtrack to our stay, enhancing the cabin's tranquil ambiance.
After days filled with hiking and exploring the surrounding natural wonders, the hot tub was our sanctuary. There's something magical about unwinding in warm, bubbling water under a canopy of stars, surrounded by the silhouette of mountains. It was the perfect way to soothe our muscles and reflect on the day's adventures.
This is more than just a place to stay; it's a destination in itself. It provided us with a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable memories. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an action-packed getaway, this is the ideal backdrop for a memorable Colorado Springs experience.

The location is beautiful. A bit rustic, but that is part of the fun. The property manager was really helpful when the weather was colder than expected.

I booked this stay to kind of reset after the loss of my son. It really was the perfect place for me to just relax and be with myself. There were more houses around than I had thought there would be, but you never really saw any of the neighbors. The cabin was just as it was pictured. I think my favorite part about this location was being able to open the windows and Listen to the creek.

Wonderful stay! Perfect for two people.Nice to have a washer and dryer. The pull out couch is a futon and not comfortable at all. As far as the little things to note - Not many pans to use for the oven. The coffee maker had a mildew odor and couldn’t drink it, the light didn’t work for the hot tub and only one jet seemed to work. Ultimately we had the best time regardless!

we loved our stay at this place. we had the windows open almost the whole time so we could hear the river. the hot tub was great. we were able to cook breakfast easily. we took ubers to and from manitou springs easily, they just took a minute to get to the house. would stay here again, thanks to our host for the great communication and hospitality.

Our stay from.the start was not good , we got there later evening, heat was blasting so hot it was over 100 and thermostat was broken. Second day took all day to get someone there atill.couldnt fix it. We had to stay gone a whole day for them to still be there , no privacy , no enjoyment . We got charged a insane amount for one night! The refund didnt even cover our last minute hotel booking . Very disappointing will never come.back.

My spouse and I were lucky enough to stay at this property for my 40th birthday. Our jobs don’t really allow for much time off- so we were overjoyed when we showed up and found an incredibly quiet peaceful location. The property was very clean and the checkin and checkout process was very simple. The hot tub was an extra bonus. We definitely got to relax the way we had hoped to. I would definitely recommend spending your time here and hope to visit again in the future.

We absolutely loved the cabin and hot tub, and the property is beautifully located in a great neighborhood! The only thing that surprised us is there is a house directly in front of the cabin that a tenant lives in, and there are several other houses very close to the cabin so it is not secluded. This did not bother us since we knew from other reviews, but we did not know about the tenant in the house. Overall we had a great time, and it was a beautiful getaway.

This cabin is adorable and perfect for a weekend getaway! It was well stocked and communication with host was seamless. Feels very remote but close to town and area attractions.

We enjoyed our time in Colorado Springs! Wish we had gotten a little better weather but, over all the scenery definitely made up for it. As for this little cottage we stayed in, seemed much more like glamping. If you make many bathroom visits in the night, going up and down the stairs is a, wake-me-up. Also, a challenge for those of us 55+ or 6' tall trying to get luggage upstairs, especially with the lack of oxygen, at this elevation. We live at 385' above sea level compared to the 7745' of elevation here at the base of Pike's Peak.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Very quiet, secluded, and conveniently located at less than a 3 min drive to the entrance of Pike's Peak Hwy and very close to many more attractions!

Overall great experience. The location was GORGEOUS! Though it was not as secluded as we originally thought it would be. You are surrounded by a main house and garage in front of the cabin and two more houses towards the back of the cabin.
Cleanliness was 50:50- Some areas looked amazing and others were not so great. Appliances needed a deep clean on the inside (Washer and Dryer). Shower floor NEEDS to be replaced. Caulking not properly done, Shower Floor looks as if it is falling apart and cracking around all edges with big gapes in flooring. Covered with a squishy mat covered with mildew. (We personally did not feel comfortable stepping anywhere in the shower which was very disappointing.)
Customer Service: The property managers were super helpful and made adjustments when the oven/stove went out during our stay!!
Overall, Great Cabin, Great location, Just a few small fixes needed! We loved our stay!

We highly recommend this cozy little cabin. We spent Christmas week 2023 there and it is so conveniently close to so many cool attractions and restaurants. The hot tub was awesome!
We were able to check off several of our bucket list items including Manitou Springs, the Manitou incline, Garden of the Gods, Pike’s Peak, Cave of the Winds, all of which were within 10 miles of the cabin! 👍👍👍👍👍

My husband and I stayed here while celebrating our 15th anniversary. It snowed most of the time we were there so we didn’t get to do much outside around the property, but inside was cozy and I felt like we were in a little snow globe. It was beautiful. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and there is coffee, creamer, and tea bags on hand, as well as many spices and condiments in the fridge. The sound of the creek right outside the home is so peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay. I will say the home looks very isolated in pictures, but it’s actually very close to several other homes. The futon in the living area was very uncomfortable if you will be sitting there for long. The bed is very soft and we usually prefer something firmer. We have AT&T and had fine service in the area. The host was very responsive and I would recommend the property.

The cottage is very cute and the location is close to everything, easy hiking, shops, restaurants, attractions, etc. It is very tiny, and the stairs are tricky, which we expected. The cons
1) as several have said and i wish i had noticed before booking, its not very isolated. There are other homes all around and the hottub is definitely not private we chose to skip it. Not a deal breaker.
2) The heat source is a gas stove which comes with explicit instruction not to adjust unless from the thermostat. After spending the first night unable to get the temperature in the cabin above 61 degrees, we adjusted the flame at the stove and were able to get it warm.
3) it's old, and very drafty, especially in the shower
4) the couch in the living area is a very uncomfortable fouton. I was looking forward to getting cozy with my husband and a cup of coffee here, but it was like sitting on a dorm room sofa
5) last but certainly not least is the shower. We almost relocated on the second day purely for this. The floor of the shower is in desparate need of replacing. It looks as though they tried to reenamel it and its cracking, peeling, and just overall gross looking. They've put a foam mat over it that has mildew spots and just doesnt feel very clean. On a listing that says its been "fully renovated" I did not expect this at all and it should have been disclosed in clear pictures. For this reason alone I would not return to this property, and almost left in the midst of our trip.

We came to Colorado for our honeymoon and could NOT have been happier with this little cottage!! It was so tiny and somewhat difficult to get up/down to the next floor, but we're young and nimble. ;] the view from our backyard was very private, breathtaking, and unbelievable. We had everything we needed in the house and all our activities took place either right off our highway or just into town. It was the perfect vacation home!!!

We enjoyed our stay st the cabin. Location was really convenient to running into Manitou Springs for a bite to eat. We slept with the window open at night and listened to the stream.

We loved our stay in this little cabin. The kitchen was perfect to make morning breakfast and coffee before days on adventuring in the area.

This is a GREAT place. The location is wonderful as you have the stream next to it and it is not in the crowded city.
The pics and description tell the story, so read and look. Things to note:
1. It is old and only heat source is a gas stove. It can keep it warm, but when it's very cold out, it could be a bit harder. Same likely applies when it is hot out as there is no AC, but come on folks, it's Colorado. How hot can it get in the mountains?
2. Bedroom is up steep stairway and bathroom is downstairs. If you get up at night to go, be ready for that. If you have bad knees, consider this as well (though the couch downstairs is a futon so fully usable as an option).
When there, we had a small issue (unavoidable due to nature) but the team went out of their way to fix everything and ensure our trip was great! Dealing with several of their staff was an excellent experience as they were all wonderfully nice and accommodating to try to guarantee our trip met all of our expectations. I can't recommend any more highly!!!

The place was beautiful and amazing. The check in and out process was easy and efficient. Great recommendation for places to eat. The hot tub was good but the jets did not work and the lights did not work. Overall the stay was great.

We arrived to a mop bucket full of dirty water and rags laying on the porch. The landscaping was a little run down. As far as the inside of the home it was pretty clean. The bathroom definitely needs to be updated dated. The loft is definitely not friendly for tall guests. My husband hit his head a few times. The hot tub was not very warm and the lights didn't work. Overall nit a bad stay just a few improvements could be made.

Me and my husband spent our honeymoon here and we loved the cottage. It’s located perfectly around a lot of attractions!!! If we come back, we will definitely try to book this cottage again!!! I’d like to thank the owner for being LGBTQ friendly as well!!!

Tiny cottage but perfect for 2. Easy access and located close to restaurants and attractions. It is not as secluded as stated in the listing as many trees have been cut down. Not much privacy. Photos of the property (cottage and yard) need to be updated!

Perfect cottage for a mountain getaway! The place is small but has everything we needed for two people. We really enjoyed listening to to stream outside the window and the close proximity to hiking trails and Manitou Springs

Loved it. Peaceful and perfect location. We weren’t there much other than to sleep, but it was perfect for us. We were there in July, and it was hot. Would be an added benefit to have ceiling fans to circulate the air. Although, I’d definitely stay there again. It was great.

Beautiful serene quaint cottage in an English garden setting with the mesmerizing sound of a bubbling brook. Jacuzzi is perfectly set next to the brook. Lots of local tourist attractions with in 10 minutes of driving. Quiet neighborhood. Hiking trails are located all around. Hostess has paid attention to the smallest details. We will return. Improvements: Large vehicles will have difficulty parking is set for economy cars only.

Too hot. Needed air conditioning! Bathroom in disrepair. Too small for full sized people.
