We stayed here for an anniversary trip and overall had a nice time. The property is very beautiful and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the very nice kitchen, living room fireplace, and back patio w/ an excellent heater. The pool was also nice but not heated (as advertised in the listing). We stayed at end of June and a few of the days it was warm enough to be in the pool in the afternoon; some days it was too cold. The spa is nice but we could not fully remove the cover, so we only used one-half of it. (The handle to remove the cover was broken.) The front patio is very pretty and a great place for morning coffee. The gas firepit was not working, however. The location is beautiful and quiet, while very close to both downtown Guerneville and Armstrong Woods. Power outages are somewhat common here; we had an outage the day after we arrived. We also had difficulty with the TVs/ entertainment - the connection kept going out. Property management was super helpful, quick and responsive on all our issues (thank you, Montana). We enjoyed some of the amazing wineries in the area and outdoor dining in Guerneville. Would stay here again.

What a relaxing home! Everything was great. The sauna needs some love but overall the residence was just what we needed to relax. Located near so many wonderful wineries and restaurants made stepping out easy and if we wanted to cook in we had just about everything we needed....and we didn't our host did everything she could to take care of us. We'll be back to this one again!

Beautiful house with amazing outdoor space! Location is close to town. Could ride bikes if you are up for a mile ride. The pool and spa are fantastic! 2nd bedroom is small but worked fine for us. The mattresses need to be upgraded and the all would be perfect!

friends of years getting together to enjoy one another's company. Lovely spot, hot tub excellent temperature, kitchen and common area ideal, comfortable beds and good wifi connections. Feels like there's no one around at all with the private back yard and gated front area. We drove to the coast and up to wine country. Thanks for providing a place to land!

There was an issue in the kitchen. Floor boards were warped and spongy most likely due to the water leak from the fridge. This created a tripping hazard in the kitchen, the property manager was very responsive. A rug was adhered to the floor to "try" and minimize the tripping issue.
The backyard was lovely, surrounded by trees and very comfortable. The front yard was also lovely and was prefect for a glass of wine around the fire pit.
I wish they had provided more bath and kitchen towels. We stayed for 5 nights and were only provided 2 bath towels per person. There were only 2 tea towels in the kitchen.
Seating for TV watching was very inconvenient.
Overall the location was GREAT for visiting the Russian River area.

We arrived late so the checkin was super easy and they had the lights on for us with welcome snacks/water. The home is decorated nicely, bed comfy but was small when you are used to sleeping on a king. After a long day touring/driving Napa it was nice to relax in the hot tub and refresh with plunge in the pool. The sauna did not work for us so that was disappointing. Kitchen was well appointed. In town there are nice restaurants and a grocery store. Drove to Jenner and saw the beautiful Pacific coast.

We had a wonderful time exploring Sonoma County, especially the northern half: the Russian River, Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys, as well as the Sonoma Coast and the towns of Guerneville, Healdsburg and Sonoma. The nearby Armstrong Redwoods park was the icing on the cake: Muir Woods without the crowds!
The house had every amenity we could ask for. We loved the pool, the front yard fire table and the indoor fireplace. We didn’t use either the sauna or hot tub, mainly because we had so much else to enjoy in the home and the area!
Although the lot is not very big and has other homes adjacent, we enjoyed total privacy in both front and back yards. The only imperfection was that the electric heater in the back patio dining area didn’t work. The owner promptly issued a credit for this.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at River Oasis again and would heartily recommend it for one or two couples who want to enjoy all that northern Sonoma County has to offer - or even to hole up and enjoy this wonderful home!

Have stayed in River Oasis twice befre, last time 4 years ago, there were a few glitches. This time everything was perfect, We walked in and went "WOW" -it looked great, new hot tub, new TVs. Our stay was sublime - even the weather was terrific. It's a perfect house for a perfect vacation.

Quiet Retreat
Enjoyed the stay. We liked the house, however it was a little distance to get to the wineries that we wanted to visit. We never used the pool because it was not heated. That was disappointing. However, we enjoyed the hot tub. The town did not have much to offer for nice dining and shops. Healdsburg had nicer restaurants and shops and closer to the wineries.

I enjoyed my stay and love this house. I had rented it four years ago when it needed refurbishing and had been sold to someone who completely redid it. The remodel is excellent and the house has everything. Surrounded by a high fence it is completely private, has really good beds, cable TV in every room, excellent heat/air system, nice pool and pool floats. My stay had a few glitches, the alarm went off when we came in, there was no coffee maker, the ice machine gave only water, no ice, the hot tub was not very hot, the living room TV would not turn on. A call was immediately answered and someone sent right out to help. Very friendly and apologetic people. I have to admit it's my favorite house after ten years of summer rental if they would install a new hot tub and a new living room TV.

The River Oasis was the perfect property for a romantic weekend getaway. It had all the comforts of home as well as the amenities of a hotel. Tucked away, secluded and quiet but also a quick ride to the wineries in Russian River Valley. The hosts were helpful and responsive and we'd definitely consider revisiting.

Peace and quiet w/ redwoods!
The home was surrounded by redwoods which was extremely peaceful. Location was easy to get to the town and explore a little. We built our puzzle and relaxed with no sounds. It hit the spot for sure. Very clean home and recommend to others for a peaceful evening!

We loved our stay at the River Oasis. Amazing backyard and such a cute quiet area. The decor and layout of the home was nice and was very comfortable to stay in for the most part. The only feedback we would have is for 1) entering the home was a bit tricky upon arrival as there were multiple lock boxes attached to the outside door that leads into the courtyard and next to the front we weren't sure which lockbox to try the code on. 2) the heaters in both rooms had some issues and were not heating the rooms up. Particularly the one in the bedroom. Air would blow out for hours but with no heat. Luckily the fireplace was VERY cozy and nice and also heated up the house after some time of running it. Wanted to note for the owner though that the fireplace metal screen was popped out when we arrived and kept coming undone periodically. 3) the front door deadbolt and the French doors leading to the backyard were a little tricky to lock. 4) we wanted to use the sauna but it seemed it hadn't been used in sometime and had lots of spider webs inside.. Other than those and a few other small things we encountered our stay was great and we would definitely come back, especially in the summertime instead of winter in order to enjoy the backyard and pool. The great part was that we were so close to the ocean, wine country and beautiful redwoods! Overall for the price we would give our stay a 6 out of 10.
