Just a 4 night bday getaway from Santa Barbara.
Good location and cabin.

This cozy cottage has a great view. My husband and I enjoyed our weekend stay. The house had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable too!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dancing bears. We happened to get lucky and visit when there was an abundance of snow. My kids loved playing in it nonstop followed by some jacuzzi time. Bonnie was very welcoming, helpful and responsive. Check-in process was easy. The view is very nice. Would highly recommend!

The HOT TUB alone, with the million dollar view, makes this place worth every dollar. But the cabin was cute and cozy, and the location was perfect, and the owner's communication was spot-on. Yes, the bathroom was small for me (I'm a big dude) but that's not enough to dissuade us from returning. This cabin was perfect.

Our stay was very pleasant. The cabin is well located right at the entrance of Big Bear Lake, so its easy to move around. Just a mile down the road is a very nice park and some stores. The view is beautiful and the jacuzzi is very nice! Communication was great with Bridget. We went in winter so it was all snowed in (lovely), we did have to ask to get the ice removed from the steps to the cabin and the driveway so our small car could park properly. She responded quick and the guys did a great job! Thank you

Quiet neighborhood with lovely lake view and tall lodge pole pines. Cabin could use some sprucing up on the exterior, Very tiny bathroom and tiny shower if you’re a 6’ guy.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is stunning and the property is big and has many areas where kids can play. The only downfall to this property would be that it's bathroom is quite small and that the lighting in the living room is very dim. Overall., Bridget was amazing, the property is in a beautiful area by BB Lake, the property was super clean and you have an amazing jacuzzi which overlooks the lake!

Quiet Cozy Getaway!
This cabin near the end of a road was perfect for our family of three! It was quiet, quaint and cozy! It kept us warm and comfy while we enjoyed a few solid days of family fun watching shows, soaking in the hot tub and sliding down the little snowy slope in the backyard.
We cooked every night and the kitchen was well stocked for your basic needs!
Great communication from the owners and no issues at all on check-in and checkout.
Thank you for the memories!

Family Adventure!
Very Cozy Cabin! The cabin has everything you need for a vacation and great views of the lake. We enjoyed playing with snow just on the backyard and also enjoyed warming up by the chimney . Very close to Boulder Bay Park. Be prepared to make a two mile trip to the dumpster to deposit all trash at the end of your trip. Loved everything!

Backyard was perfect for the kids to snow play all day
Very pretty scenery, good upstairs room for the kids. Back yard had a ton of snow to go sledding.

Amazing Experience
Such a cute little house. I highly recommend this house and location. What I will say is this.....The bathroom is beyond small. However this is how they were built back then so no complaints just an FYI. Absolutely love the authentic doors and windows. The house has an amazing fireplace and is completely stocked with everything you would need.

This was the perfect getaway for our anniversary. Everything was exactly as we had hoped. Communication was great and we had a fantastic time. We hope to make it back with (or without!) our kids next time.

What a bust - this place shows years and years of deferred maintenance and neglect from the owner - Bridget. This place might have been nice decades ago but it is so outdated, run down and neglected - however the owner does not care at all.Upon our arrival in September the Christmas decorations from last year were still up - well odd - unfortunately all dusty. And so is the whole house - spider webs, dust, you name it. The carpet is ripped, a window covering that fell off is just leaning in the corner. The appliances in the kitchen are at least 30 years old, the plastic walls inside fridge have started to disintegrate - nobody should store food in there. A broken window that is covered with some plastic adds extra charm. The advertised BBQ was so filthy and has not been cleaned in a long time. The "newest addition to this gem" - the hot tub was not operational. Knobs falling off, the water murky, the hot tub cover water logged that it took 2 people to open it up. No human being should go in there. We contacted Bridget right upon our arrival and all we got was lame excuses and that there is nothing for her to do. We had serious health concerns staying there as my wife is a high-risk individual and staying at a place that has not been properly cleaned during the COVID-19 pandemic is dangerous. Bridget accused us that we would be setting this up and we should not even be travelling if my wife is immune-compromised. What an insult. We told Bridget that we can't stay under these living conditions and she told us we are free to leave but she would not refund us any money, not even the cleaning fee. We were at the property for about 45 minutes (half of the time with her on the phone). We left to find another place and before we even found another place Bridget removed the access code from the smart lock, effectively locking us out of the place that we booked for 5 days.We can only warn any traveler to not book this place! By far the worst short term rental experience we ever had in many years of travelling around the world.

Good spot
This is a great little cabin for no more that 4 people. It was stocked with everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. Some good info for potential renters: There is no AC in this house, the 5 minute walk to the lake is along the busy highway.
The Jacuzzi and outside space was nice, but it would be more comfortable with better outside seating. Overall, a good stay and experience.

Sad Anniversary Trip
The cabin is in need of major renovation. Pictures online are outdated. 20 years of rental use shows. It looks like it was nice long ago, but now it suffers from neglect. I wish I could post pictures. I'm not trying to be mean, I just want the reviews I read to be true, so I have to be honest with mine.
I picked this cabin because it had a high rating. (Shame on anyone for lying!) Maybe a 25 year old guy might be happy with this cabin, but as a 60-year-old well seasoned female traveler, landlord, former inn-keeper and designer, I was very disappointed.
Specifics: BBQ did not work. Hot tub cover/jets/lights/temperature did not operate correctly. Fans for the summer heat did not work, or rotate, or stop clicking. Kitchen had ants, bedroom had a mouse, and rafters and windows were cobwebby throughout. I could go on, but that would be getting picky and mean. I suspect the owner is out of state. They need to get a new housekeeper and spa guy.
Miss B was more defensive than helpful. (Plus, I fear being honest here will only inspire some hot-headed retaliatory remarks that will attempt to disparage me and my credibility, as I've read in other reviews.) But I'll fall on my sword for the truth to get out, and hopefully for the owners to spend a few grand on bringing the place up to it's former glory. The bones and the views are very good! Just give this girl some TLC, please!

Great location to get away from the city.
We have stayed in this cabin many times. It is like our vacation home in Big Bear. We love the decor, location, comfortable couches, spa and the relationship we have built with the owner, Bridget. We always have a great time there.

Wonderful getaway
We had a great time. Beautiful view from every place in the whole cabin. Jacuzzi had a great view of the lake. Contact with the manager was easy peasy and very plesant. We had so much fun just getting away to celebrate our anniversary and early Father’s Day! Will definately want to stay here again

Best jacuzzi view!
We enjoyed our stay celebrating our anniversary. The reason we chose this property besides being cozy was the view of the lake from the jacuzzi it just made it that much better. Bridget was great with communicating and that makes it great also. I would recommend this cozy cabin.

Winter Big Bear trip with family!
We had a great stay at the Cabin! Host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We went with our family of 5 During winter break weekend and even though the town was busy We could hardly tell because we didn’t leave the cabin! The kids went sledding down the hill behind the house all day long. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable, And the Jacuzzi was a nice bonus. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more. We would definitely come back again.

Cozy, idyllic cabin. I loved the location and the view of the lake. We were lucky enough to get 48 inches of snow, so the cabin was our world. So relaxing!

First time bearfootin’ Big Bear!
For our families first time vacationing in big bear, we had a wonderful experience! Brigitte was very welcoming, and made the whole process from checkin to check out extremely easy and hassle-free. The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It provided easy access to the lake, the village, and a short drive to the snow summit activities. We will definitely be making a return trip! Thank you for everything, the Zundel family.

Horrific experience, do NOT make the same mistake we did
According to VRBO and Homeaway this was NOT this owner's first offense, so renter beware! The owner's behavior is bizarre and unprofessional, we would NOT recommend this property to anyone. We went as a family of four to stay in this property and ended up having to leave after less than 16 hours there! The property was nothing like the listing showed, the most offense being how unsafe it was for children. There was broken glass all over the back of the property, no one had cleaned the area in quite some time. Additionally, there were broken windows and a broken screen. The kitchen was unequipped to cook with and the outside grill was inoperable. The home is very rundown and not worth anywhere near what she charges. The owner has been completely unreceptive to any of these issues and has come up with excuses as to why her property was unsafe and unfit for families to stay in. When we asked for a refund the owner flat out denied a refund and actually lied to VRBO about our experience, saying that we left the home in poor condition, which was impossible given we were there less than 1 day! Don't make the same mistake we did! Best of luck with a better experience in Big Bear.

Our stay
The property was nice, however, we thought we would be on the lake, or at least get to the lake from the cabin. The hot tub we could not find keys, so it wasn't ready for use. Other than that it was pleasant.

End of summer weekend vacation
We had an awesome weekend at Bearfootin and managed to enjoy every aspect of this cozy lake view cabin. The kids loved their upstairs bedroom all to themselves and we relaxed downstairs gazing at the amazing scenery. We have already had the “when are we coming back?” discussion! Thanks, Bridget you were a big part of our great weekend.
