This beautiful house was so comfortable for everyone. It is convenient to the beach and to OC restaurants and yet located in a quiet, peaceful location. We really enjoyed staying there. We would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Mia was very accommodating and easy to contact. The home is comfortable, clean and in a quiet/beautiful neighborhood - a very short drive to Assateague. We can't wait to come back. A wonderful time was had by all!

Overall, my family and I made it work to the best of our ability. Beautiful neighborhood, quiet. When we arrived, the house appeared clean, but as we did our walk through of the property it looked like someone was living there and literally just left on our arrival. There were clothes and other personal items in the closet and drawers, food in the fridge and freezer, and the bathrooms weren’t cleaned or sanitized. We didn’t have use of the closet and drawers because someone’s items were in there. We had our own cleaning supplies so we took care of cleaning the areas that needed to be sanitized to our liking. The kitchen and main living areas were nice. The back yard was nice although we didn’t use it.
House was close and convenient to the beach and shopping stores when we needed to buy food.
Another disappointment was upon leaving (about half hour prior to our scheduled check out time) we noticed the ‘cleaning guy’ and owner was literally sitting outside in his truck with the engine running waiting for us to vacate the premises. I just thought that was rude. Maybe they thought we weren’t going to leave timely just in case but it definitely contributed to me thinking this rental was a’ One and done’ for us.

I don't think I have stayed at a cleaner rental. We had an awesome time. It was very kid friendly with lots of toys outside. The backyard was a great size for the kids to run around. The bedrooms were huge. Close to our favorite restaurant Crab Alley. We will definitely be back!

The house was simply amazing. Custom made kitchen, plenty of space to hang out for the kids and adults. Backyard was our favorite part. Enormous brick fireplace was where we spent every evening. The house is also conveniently located. 10 min drive to Ocean City West and most importantly 5 min drive to Assateague.
Overall, we had a great time. We will definitely be back.

Recent July Stay- Just Perfect!!
Overall FANTASTIC experience working with Mia and staying at this property! I cannot give this property a better rating. House was clean upon entry and was just beautiful inside. It is a spacious home that allowed for our three different families to have their own living areas/bathrooms during our stay. Wonderful location within a short driving distance to beaches. When we return to this area we will be looking to see if this property is available!

There will be no disappointment with this house. It was as beautiful as the pictures. Mia and Kevin were wonderful hosts as were very accommodating. They were quick to respond to EVERY question or concern and were on top of everything. The house was clean as well as equipped. We truly enjoyed our stay. Fantastic House, Great Hosts
The house was beautiful and just as described online. Plenty of space for adults to relax and kids to play. It was a quick drive to the beach and Ocean City boardwalk. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful before and during our stay. Would love to vacation at this home again!

Amenities Galore
This beautiful home has an abundant supply of kitchen, bath and laundry items, comfortable furnishings and plenty of seating areas inside and outside for socializing or just curling up with a good book. The bedrooms are very spacious and the master bedroom/bath is perfect!! Our family had a fantastic time. Would definitely rent again!

Fantastic House, Great Location!
Well-organized and prompt pre-stay communications from owners. The house is beautiful and located on a quiet side street less than 5 minutes from the Assateague beaches. Extrememly well laid out interior and exterior spaces with multiple places to gather together or get a little alone time if you need it. Roomy and well-appointed kitchen. Office is fantastic for those of us who have to do a little work during our vacation ;-). Owners were also very responsive to all communications during our stay. A+, would defginitely stay again!

Fantastic Vacation!
You will not be disappointed during your stay at this beautiful home. Our group consisted of 8 adults, who had all stayed here last year and couldn't wait to come back, and our 9 month old granddaughter, who experienced her first visit. Everyone had a great time, relaxing and enjoying the neighborhood and beaches, looking for Assateague ponies (we saw quite a few!), Berlin, the outlets and Ocean City boardwalk - you won't find a better location or home to stay in. The house has everything you need and more!

Beautiful Well Decorated Home
Our immediate and extended family enjoyed our accommodations and our stay in MD. We vacation in OC every year renting a variety of homes. Our favorite “home away from home” has always been a Sunset Island property. Well I must say, after staying at The McCarthys’ home, we now have a new favorite. The home is exactly as it appears in the listing. Well decorated, clean, a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, clear instructions throughout the house, good communication from the host, and a very nice family oriented neighborhood. The patio is beautiful in the evening. You have to spend time on the back patio to fully appreciate it. The only minor issue we encountered was the presence of flies near the kitchen and living room probably due to previous guests leaving the doors open. Otherwise, this didn’t take away from the overall beauty and cleanliness of the house. We would definitely vacation here again.

Awesome House
Beautiful house and outdoor patio. Came down for our annual golf weekend, which we have done for the last 35 years, and have never stayed in the same place twice. Thinking that may need to change come next year. Outside fireplace, close to courses, and very nicely decorated. Best rental in OC!

Wonderful home/location for family vacation!!
This was our 4th time to this property. We keep coming back because we have such a great time and feel so welcomed. The McCarthy's are wonderful hosts. Any questions we have are quickly answered. We didn't get a chance to come last year and the upgrades that have been done were magnificent!
We were able to make wonderful meals in the huge kitchen, play games on the patio or around the circular dining room table, and just enjoy each other's company in the comforts of the living room. A couple of us had to do some work, so having the office made it that much easier to be able to work remotely. If the home had a pool we'd probably never leave! lol
All in all, we had a great stay and I can't say enough about this home. You won't be dissapointed if you book here!

Beautiful stay
Beautiful stay with all the amenities you would need and more! There were numerous beds and plenty of space. Location is very close to Assetegue island. We were able to bike there very easily. The home is about a 15 min drive to the beach. Nevertheless, there was plenty of parking by the beach for a small fee. The house is close to several farm stands and stores which make it easier to cook at home. My children loved the room with the slope ceilings. Home was in immaculate condition. We though we had a problem with the washing machine and the owner arrive in 10 minutes! Luckily there were no problems. Would definately stay here again!

Beautiful Home!!!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our mom's 90th birthday. Family members came from all over and were in agreement that the McCathy's have a very spacious beautiful home. My mom truly enjoyed her birthday and stated "I will never forget this birthday". It is evident that they have taken the time to think outside of the box when it came to the amenities for their guest. There home is very convenient to Ocean City. We highly recommend this home and without hesitation will stay again. It is a 5 Star Rating for Home Away!!!

Absolutely stunning property!
We recently stayed at this beautiful home for a week and could not have been more pleased! My sister-in-law loved the well-appointed kitchen, I could not believe the fantastic master bedroom/bathroom suite and everyone loved gathering outside for breakfast every day on the rear patio. Being so close to numerous golf courses thrilled some of our group, others loved being so close to Assateague, and we liked being able to get to Berlin or OC in minutes. I cannot imagine a better home to stay in when vacationing and we are already working on finalizing dates for next year - we can't wait to come back!

Best place to stay off the beaten path
I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful home. The owners Mia and Kevin have done an amazing job!!! The house is approximately 1 mile away from Assateague Island where they have a very nice family beach and the horses that roam around the island. Ocean city beach and boardwalk is about a 10 - 15 minute drive from the house. The pictures provided while accurate don’t give the same effect as seeing the house in person. If your looking to stay in a very comfortable home with every amenity that you can possibly think of and is just minutes from the beach then look no further and stay at this house!!!

Beautiful Home amazing host
Perfect in every way. Six golfers spent an extended weekend in paradise. I can't decide what my favorite part of this home was. It could have been the gourmet kitchen or the outdoor living room with oversized pit couch and fireplace or possibly the 6 heads on the walk-in shower in the amazing master suite. All things considered it was probably none of these things. The best part is the wonderful host, Mia who thinks of absolutely everything you may need before during and after your stay. From little notes pointing out features that you may not notice, to the well stocked kitchen with a little bit of everything that you may need. Toiletry items that you may have forgotten. To the personal thank you card you receive when you return home. Mia is the perfect host. If you are looking to spend a perfect vacation in Ocean City MD, look no further, this is the place to stay.

This house was amazing, beautiful gourmet kitchen. The house was very clean and cozy. Grilled all weekend with the amazing gas grill and sat by the outside fireplace. It was very relaxing. Would recommend the place. 14 people fit perfectly and still felt huge. Only thing.....bring lots of mosquito repellant!

This house is absolutely amazing. The pictures do it any justice and it has everything you could possible want on a vacation. Close enough to the beach but not too close so you don't deal with the beach traffic. Even though its somewhat secluded it close enough to get to everything very easily. The backyard and patio were very relaxing. We went away with family and although there was 10 of us, there was plenty of room for everyone including kids. And always something to do. We plan on definately rent it again next year and would recommend this house to everyone. Owners were very helpful and very easy to work with. All in all a very pleasant and much needed relaxing and fun experience.

This home is gorgeous and has all the amenities you might need. It is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The location is perfect because it is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, but yet close enough to the beach and all the fun things the children want to do. You will not go wrong with this rental. It is awesome!
