Esto no es solo un alquiler de vacaciones ... es un "hogar" todo lo que desea para cocinar, hornear, cortar, escurrir, hacer barbacoas ... lo que sea ... cafetera y mini refrigerador en el maestro (piso superior) y en Gameroom (sótano). Siente ganas de salir a la deriva por un tiempo en el nuevo río o pescar en el abastecido estado Elk Creek. Powder Horn puede ser su escondite para su estadía ... disfrute de la casa club, mesas de billar, ping pong, tres lagos, botes de remo de pesca, piscina comunitaria, canchas de tenis, capilla, cancha de media cancha, gimnasio, campamento, millas y millas de senderos para caminatas, área de juegos y con mantenimiento a tiempo completo, tenga la seguridad de que siempre tendrá acceso incluso en los meses de invierno. We had a quick multi family weekend getaway and Hurricane Hideaway was perfect! The property is well appointed, has plenty of room for a large family or multiple families to relax and has so much to do without even getting in your car. The first floor game room with bunk bed room was a huge hit for the 4 teenagers. The hot tub was clean and HOT, which can’t always be said and vacation rentals. There are some really cool trials right in the back yard which was a nice surprise. This house had everything plus more.

We spent our Thanksgiving at the Hurricane Hideaway. There were 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 16, 14, and 10). We had a wonderful trip. The cabin was cozy (especially with the indoor gas fireplace) and there was enough space for all of us. The primary bedroom was huge with a comfortable king sized bed. The bunk room was perfect for our kids. The shower pressure in the shower was great! The kitchen was on the smaller side, but was fine for our short stay. We would have liked a large table so all 7 of us could have eaten at the same table, but everyone had a spot between 2 tables. I would have liked the kitchen to have more containers to store leftovers, but there isn't a ton of cabinet space, so I'm sure they just have to keep all of the real necessities stocked. They had 2 crock pots, which were great! There is not a garbage disposal. The clubhouse is so nice and a short drive (or a very hilly walk). We met friends here and had dinner together. We also took advantage of the big screened TV there. We drove into Boone one day, which is a cute little town and had lunch and walked around App State University. You won't want to leave very often though. It's a 30 minute drive to Boone on very steep and windy roads. We had a great trip!

This is the 4th year that our group has traveled and this house had everything we needed! The downstairs activities were such a fun addition to our weekend. Our group spent a lot of time on the porch to enjoy the view and sunshine.

This was a darling house! We had 6 adults and 4 teenagers, and it was cozy and comfortable. It was especially nice for the teenagers, with with dedicated space downstairs with the game room and the sleeping quarters. The boys also enjoyed the Clubhouse games and tried a little fishing (but no success on catching anything). The host company was great at communicating with us via text. We had everything we needed! The location was definitely a bit secluded. Had we expected this, we would've brought more groceries since the drive to anything was at least 20 minutes of windy, mountain roads. The host shared grocery store and gas locations upfront, but we didn't expect the windy/mountains roads to get out to the main road. We still enjoyed this home very much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The house feels warm and cozy but had plenty of room to accommodate our three families (6 adults and 7 kids). The kids loved the game room downstairs and the adults loved sitting on the porch taking in the beautiful mountain view. The short hike to the stream was perfect for fishing and swimming. We drove easily to Boone and Blowing Rock each day. We happily recommend this cabin and hope to stay here again soon!

We were very happy with the home and the accommodations. Everything was clean and as described. The grill was easy to turn on and use. Internet access was as expected so we brought games and talked to each other. We loved our stay and hope to come back someday.

Property manager was awesome! We enjoyed our stay. We did think the creek on the property would be accessible to all of us. We could have misinterpreted the listing. We were under the impression we could walk out the back door and let kids play in the creek. Once we figured out where to go, we loaded the kids up and went to a creek daily. The house is great for multiple families if you don’t want to sit together. We wish the main living area had more seating. We like to all be together after the kids are down for the night. Replacing the mattresses would add a lot to the comfort of the home. Over all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. The weather was perfect!

We booked Hurricane Hideaway for a late 60th birthday celebration. The property manager provided great, clear directions and the house was clean and maintained. The porches are lovely and the hot tub was a hit. It is 'off the beaten path' so if you're wanting to go into Boone or Blowing Rock, go out to eat or otherwise fairly often, it may not be the location for you. But, we had young kids with us so we planned on cooking the whole time. Hiking and creek nearby and easily accessible. Unfortunately, it was too cold to use the pool but otherwise, I would have liked to! Would recommend!

Our family really enjoyed this cabin over spring break. It was the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy nature. The cabin is very spacious in a community that offers plenty to do for everyone. Our teenage boys really enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and dart board at the cabin. They also enjoyed hiking the trail down by the creek with dad and going for a dip in the many swim holes along the trail. We also visited the towns of Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and historic Todd during our stay. Each has its' own charm. There are an abundance of hiking trails in the area also. We couldn't do them all but, we sure tried. Definitely check out Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain and many of the trails along the parkway. We also enjoyed many cool mountain bike trails at Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Parke which was only about 20 minutes away. Overall, everything was great and we'll definitely be back!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Only negative is that we didn't get to stay longer. Hurricane Hideaway was great for adults and kids! The bunk beds , gameroom and hot tub was the perfect setup to occupy the kids for hours with no worries!! Master suite is very spacious! The additional area for a little quite office and reading time away from the rest of the crowd allowed for vacation like feel for adults too! At meal time when everyone cane together the cozy kitchen with extra seating were nice! Everything was conveniently labeled so you didn't have to hunt to find items and figure out switches. Too short of a trip this time but this place made its work in all good ways and we will definitely need to come back different times of the year!!! Highly suggest this place especially for families with children. Oh almost forgot with the flip of a switch the living room fireplace is beautiful , warm, and cozy. Definitely one of the highlights especially for a cold winter stay ! Thank you!

The property was the perfect size for our family of 10. Three stories of living space that could allow for separate space for 3 groups. The house was well heated throughout, with a bathroom on each level. The kitchen was well supplied with small appliances, dishes, glassware and pots/pans. Would recommend.

The property was perfect for our group! The house was absolutely beautiful and the views off of the decks were gorgeous. Signal was not great but that is to be expected in the mountains and the game room with the pool table, dart board, games, and hot tub kept everyone entertained. The pool table is definitely a little worn but was an amazing feature. The bedrooms were all set up very nice and the beds comfortable! Streaming movies or Netflix wasn’t possible but that was not a big deal for us. We absolutely loved this property and the community and will definitely be back!
