This was our second year. We felt at home, in a quiet neighborhood. The home is very convenient to the beach and shopping. There is plenty of room for both people and cars. We especially took advantage of the porches and decks for reading and entertaining. We will be back again.

We have been coming here since 2016. Our family loves staying at this beach rental because it is large enough to sleep 12 people or more; Good Harbor beach is great for families; the house has an excellent view of the marshes, a small river, the ocean and the beach; and it is only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I particularly like that it is equipped with beach chairs and toys; has a large dining room table; and has lots of seating; and the kitchen has what it needs. We are careful people but I still appreciate that nothing at the house is too fragile or "precious." I can relax and enjoy myself and not worry much about what the kids are doing. The hostess is helpful and answers questions quickly.

This house has been just what our family needs to vacation together. There are plenty of spaces to sleep the extended family and still have space to gather or get away from each other. The location next to the beach is perfect. Our teens love the independence of going to the beach or walking just up the road for ice cream. Phyllis has been helpful in so many ways. We have stayed here 4 times and will undoubtedly plan another stay in the future.

Our large family thoroughly enjoyed our family reunion together. Location next to Good Harbor Beach is perfect. The house is ideal for large families. We had eight adults and seven grandchildren. It was a blast! Some of the amenities in the home are a bit dated, but that is part of the fun. We would highly recommend this home.

A dream property in the perfect location! We had a crew of our grandkids ages 4 to 13, our adult kids and their spouses, and family friends enjoying this well stocked, home with several large gathering areas and we had plenty of room. The back deck was the perfect location for large family gatherings as we watched the changing of the tide. Phyllis gave a great tour when we arrived and was so helpful with any questions we had. We will be back next year!

If the walls of this house could talk, it would tell you of the wonderful vacation stay we had at this location in Gloucester. The house is in a unique location that allows you to watch the tide come in and out and it has a beautiful view of the beach. Our family of eight had plenty of room, the kitchen is large and had everything we needed. Also, everything we needed to enjoy the beach was available: toys, towels, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. To get to the beach is a very short, easy walk. We appreciated the grill for our July 4th cook out and the washer and dryer located in the basement. We were happy to have an area that recycles the usual materials. The porches offer unique views and warm summer breezes. Phyllis met us upon our arrival and gave us a walk through the house. This was very helpful in knowing where things were located and what was expected of us as guests. Groceries stores are very close as are the sights and sounds of downtown Gloucester. Our family would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. I would like to point out that the third floor was not available to us, due to the size of our family. We were aware of this ahead of time and we didn't have a need for that extra area. The house is over a hundred years old. A beautiful place to stay while in Gloucester.

The home is older (century home) but in great shape. Plenty of room for lots of people. Were met by the owners mom and gave a great walk thru. Gave advice on getting to Salem with all of the traffic and people. Overall a wonderful time and experience. The views form the decks at this place are simply amazing!! Would stay again and highly recommended.

The second floor with 4 bedrooms was updated and nice. First floor needs updating. The furniture is worn out and not comfortable. The third floor should not be rented as is.

This house exceeded our expectations! It's beautiful, spacious, and the location is perfect, a 2 minute walk to Good Harbor beach! We had a wonderful time staying there. Phyllis was a great hostess, she showed us around the house when we arrived and kept in touch with us throughout our stay as needed. I really can't say enough good things about our visit. Thank you!

Great location. Great house for a large family gathering. As advertised!

Everything was wonderful but I did come away from the VRBO listing thinking that we had the entire house, but the third floor would have been extra, and was closed off. This mattered because it wasn’t necessarily just the number of BEDS we needed. We had couples and in-laws. And who wants to sleep with their in law? That being said, this could totally be my misunderstanding. 😀

The house is spacious, well equipped, and comfortable. A two minute walk to the Good Harbor Beach footbridge, with plenty of parking, if you have visitors. It was a pleasure to deal with our host Phyliss.

This house was great for our 4 generation family of 13. The proximity to the beach is fabulous. Phyllis was very available and helpful. Even brought us baking loaf pans from her house when we needed them. The kitchen is bigger than it looks in the photos and is open to the sunroom. We spent most of our in-house time in those rooms. We rented during a very hot and sunny week. Most of us still found the house comfortable, but two of us who struggle with heat were uncomfortable. We rented the 3rd floor too, and that one was especially hot. Some screens were broken and Phyllis was not aware of that. If she has those fixed that might help some. Other than the high chair, which someone must have left dirty, the house was spotless. Highly recommend this house.

This house is a great place to spend time with family near the beach. The house is even great on a rainy day. You can curl up with a good book on one of the window seats, play video games using the t.v. in the family room or play board games at the big dining room table.

Couldn’t say enough good things about our stay. Phyllis met us and showed us around, we had her cell for anything we might need. The house is perfect for a large family, with lots of beds and baths. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the views or just sit alone with a book. Just grab a towel and chair to sit on the beach! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved this older New England house, it accommodated all 13 family members comfortably, utilizing the apartment upstairs. Easy walk to the beautiful beach and short drive to Boston and other tourist locations. Phyliss was very nice, friendly and very easy to get a hold of and work with during our stay. Great location, 2 minutes from the footbridge, made it easy to go back and forth from the property to the beach with the kids. The views from multiple decks were amazing. Phyllis was a great host. We really enjoyed our stay.

The house was perfect for our group of 12. You can’t beat the location.—just steps to the footbridge to Good Harbor Beach but enough foliage and trees in between to assure privacy. The view from the house is lovely: marsh with its wildlife plus the tidal creek with beach on the far side and ocean in the background. The house is spacious and unpretentious—just right for a relaxing and comfortable family vacation. We have rebooked for next year!

Fabulous location in lovely Gloucester. Immediate access to beautiful Good Harbor Beach, beautiful views from every window. Phyllis was happy to help in any way she could. All 16 of us had plenty of room and just a great experience there. So many things for the family to do, places to eat, perfect for us. Phyllis even helped us choose the best whale watch and bedrooms for each of our unique family groupings. Plenty of parking. Linens and towels provided was a huge bonus. Nice big kitchen and dining for family meals and cooking. Outdoor decks... can't say enough!

The property is a bit dated on the inside but still very comfortable. The location is awesome. Not only are you steps from the beach but also a great seafood restaurant, coffee shop, ice cream shop and Stop and Shop is right there too. The views from the deck are also really nice and just hanging on the front porch is something we did a lot too in the evenings.

Had a blast at this house. It was very close to the beach and everywhere else we went to. I would highly recommend this property.

Loved that the beach was literally a Two minute walk loved hearing the ocean waves and wow the surfers and the big waves were so awsome I never seen such big waves and an actual surfer surf so perfect

Stayed here with family for my son’s wedding. Perfect location for all ages. Amazing views from every room. Even hosted the rehearsal dinner. It was perfect.

We loved everything about our stay the location was amazing with sunrise views overlooking the ocean. Short walk to the beach. Great starting point for walks along the rocky seashore! Great amount of space and bedrooms/bathrooms. Kitchen is out of date but we ate out most evenings anyway. A gas grill was available and nice to utilize! Great coffee maker. There was a nice long table/dining room for us to gather and play card/board games at night. We very much enjoyed the deck out front in the late afternoon. Place was very clean-5 stars for that! Would definitely come back.

The location is amazing: a 3 minute walk to Good Harbor Beach without crossing any streets; soothing, calming view of the marshes with egrets and seagulls; beautiful sunrises; good star gazing. The house itself is great for our 3 generation family of 11 with large living and dining rooms. We appreciate the lack of fancy, breakable stuff. The host and the cleanliness are A-1.

This was our second time staying at this property. You couldn't ask for a better location to Good Harbor Beach. The walk is easy with small children, as you don't need to cross any streets to get to the beach. We had 10 adults and 4 children/toddlers. The house was spacious and comfortable for all. A couple bathrooms and the kitchen could be updated, but everything was functional and worked well. All of the bedrooms are nice and have private balconies. Also you don't hear any noise from the first floor while on the 2nd or 3rd. This was helpful for all the napping kids sleep through all the commotion on the first floor. Phyllis is very accommodating as we had some prior booking issues on our end. Will book again before our family outgrows it soon!

Beautiful 5 bedroom 5 bath home! The views are gorgeous from this home and just mins walk to good harbor beach! Family had wonderful time!
