The staff were so friendly and helpful. They run a free shuttle to and from Betanzos Town. We were told how best to get to our accommodation on the Camino the next day and given a lift to the top of the very steep hill out of town!! We had a super king Roo. Which was themed with a huge bed and a jet shower very welcome after walking all day! We ate dinner in the yellow bus which was very quirky and the staff couldn't have been more kind even giving us free welcome drinks and shots!!

If you are walking the Camino remember that you will have to call to the property to get a ride to the property. It is a bit far from the city center. But once you get there you are greeted with warmth and kindness. The rooms have a separate theme for each one. I enjoyed the special get together they invite you to for a drink and conversation.

We stayed here while walking the Camino Ingles, We were picked up from the centre of Betanzos and taken to our accommodation. We were also taken into town and picked up again in the evening so that we could get something to eat in the restaurants in town and then dropped in town in the morning to continue our walk.. The accommodation was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Good nights sleep and shower.

The hosts Antonio and Maria went out of their way to make our Camino Ingles stop over in Betanzos a great experience. We were fetched in the centre of town, and taken to the start of the walk again the next morning. On our second day we walked to Presedo, where Antonio fetched us after lunch. He took us back to Presedo the following day, to continue our walk from there. All the extra driving, at no extra cost - a true Camino host!!

Everything! María is the perfect hostess. Very caring and thoughtful about details, making you feel welcome. Decorations, details and amenities were superb and creative. Thanks for everything Maria.

the hosts were exceptional nothing too much trouble , we were lost and had to phone them to locate us , Antonio told us when you book with them you ring them when you get into town and they pick you up and also drop you wherever you need to go when there , rooms are great all themed shower fab huge bed coffee machine ect ect

I would of said it was a few km out of town but knowing now that they pick you up when your ready to leave town to take you to their home

It is a fun place to stay as you first drive into the front court yard, you will see a coloured cow statue, a few bicycles hanging along the fence and the reception in a school bus. Friendly owners offering free drinks and shuttles service to town. All their rooms are decorated in different theme, we have the music room , is the smallest room in the house and have no space to put our baggages. There is a coffee machine and complimentary water, juice and cakes in the room for they don't provide breakfast, it would be nice to have some non sweet croissants rather than sweet cakes. There is a taberna opposite the place but only serve lunch and dinner.We have noticed that most of the people staying there are doing the Camino de Santiago and leave early in the morning, they can pick up or drop them off at Betanzos about 6 km from there. It is a very interesting town and have good walking trails in the area We stayed there for two nights.

Shower was dated and leaked over the floor

First of all I loved that La Casona was different to anywhere else I’ve stayed. It’s unique, it’s quirky, it’s a place I’ll remember forever. Customer service was excellent throughout, Maria and family are friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure my time there was a good one. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, fantastic (hot) shower, a very comfortable bed… and the only place I’ve stayed in this trip that had a coffee machine in the room. The reception office has to be the coolest I’ve ever seen.

That I couldn’t spend more time there.

The transfer was awesome. from main square I was picked up in five minutes after arrival. the owner took myself and two others back in the evening and picked us up at 10. Then took us in the morning to continue our camino inglés.

I would have liked something in the morning like fruit or something that we could have take. with us as there wasn’t anything open nor on the way for a few hours.

Antonio and Maria! They are a lovely, humble and welcoming power couple who run this bed and breakfast. they offer free beer and snacks to guests staying onsite, and have no issue driving us to and from the town for dinner and after the walk. We will come back!

The hosts were friendly and so willing to accommodate us. They made sure we didn’t miss the shuttle to dinner and happily returned us to the Camino at the time we requested.

The property was cold and neglected. It is expensive for what is on offer.

Room was a bit cold

Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Did the Camino ingles and they pick you up and bring you back to the city center seeing as the location is just outside of the city. Even though we can't speak Spanish we could communicate what we wanted and they helped us all the way. I would recommend this place

Mixed feelings about depending on the owners to get to and from town. However, they were very accommodating and the journeys enjoyable as they are really friendly. I just felt conscious about asking for lifts 😅

Fantastic, big sized ensuite room. The decorations add up to the sense of adventure. The reception/cafeteria is also very original. The interaction with the owners and their recommendations for dinner 10/10. Would totally book again.

It’s quite a distance from the Camino route, but the owners were very good about shuttling us back and forth to town.
