Very cute beach bungalow with great location to ocean and center of activity. Beds were very comfortable. It was a nice stay. The additional poor fee was not worth it.

We booked this house for 3 weeks in February. Unfortunately, the house was not in rentable condition. Thankfully, we were able to vacate the property 2 weeks early. Sandpiper did handle the situation promptly and professionally. If you are renting this place I recommend reaching out to Sandpiper - have them do a walk through before your rental to confirm that the property is in good condition. I wish we did.

Seaside Week
Spent a week at this property and it was just fabulous. Everything was perfect: location and proximity to great restaurants, private access to beach, pool and fitness center, very well appointed with great mattresses and linens. Will definitely return to this property!

Nice but ...
Nice little house. We would definitely stay there again. The only annoying thing was that there TV cable did not get many HD channels. I realize that when you go to the beach you should not plan to watch much TV but when there is a sporting event on TV, it is really annoying to watch it in SD. It felt like 1970. It seems like that should pay a few extra dollars to get a better cable package.

Wonderful stay
House was exactly what we expected. I have a block from the beach, charming neighborhood, and we enjoy the amenities. House was spotless and clean, and there was more than enough space. I particularly enjoyed the fitness center, the pools, and biking around

Perfect place for our family if 4!
Everything was perfect! The right location-close enough to the beach that it was easy to go back and forth, close enough to town center to walk but also very quiet! We walked and jogged on the miles of trailer every day. The fitness center is right at the end of the street which was helpful! The listing was just as described. Make sure you bring the things not included in the listing like extra toilet paper, laundry & dishwasher soap! We had enough for our 3 day stay but if you stay longer you’ll need more. The beach equipment was in a different spot than we expected-you’ll find it outside the home. We will come back!

Relaxing Break
This rental was in a wonderful location. No need to drive - just park your car and walk to the shops, restaurants, and the Beach. It was just 2 of us but could have accommodated our whole family. Would definitely rent again due to the wonderful locations. TVs were a hit and a miss with the internet but not an issue for us! The weather was rainy at times so we sat in the 3rd story nest and played dominoes!

Excellent First Time Experience in Seaside!
The house was perfect for us. Nicely furnished- love the bedrooms - remodeled bathrooms and kitchen. But the best was the third floor lookout over the gulf and to watch the sunset. Location was perfect. A short walk to beach and to town. We loved it!

Peaceful and calm
Snails pace is a perfect getaway spot in seaside. It is cute...and the perfect size and location. My husband and I have been to Seaside more than twenty times....andfeel like we have stayed in all the places that will accept our little pets...who are like family to us!!! Having a place like snails pace allow us to bring our dogs meant so much to us!!

Great Covid Retreat
We had a wonderful time at Snail's Pace! Everything was as advertised, and it suited our needs perfectly. Particularly loved the tower room as a retreat, and the front screened in porch was great for wine - O'clock and for greeting people walking back from the beach. The location, about a half block from A30 and 2 blocks from the town center was perfect for going back and forth to the beach and to grab a bite, or do some shopping in town. Loved it!

Snails pace is a little piece of heaven
My daughter (16) and I needed a getaway for a long week-end and this was perfect! We love seaside and this house was perfect for us!! We loved the 3rd floor and used that as our living room day and night when we were at the property--it was unexpected to see and hear the ocean from the top floor--

BEWARE: Online quotation meaningless to this wonderful property.
My wife and I were looking for a small unit in Seaside/Watercolor area that would be comfortable for us for the week. We located this property via VRBO, signed in online and after receiving the quote and printing out the confirmation for our stay, we booked the unit. When we arrived, everything represented on the web site was correct and our stay was great. We would totally recommend the property and it was a wonderful area.
Our problem stems from the fact that THE PRICE WE WERE QUOTED WAS NOT WHAT WAS CHARGED ON OUR CARD. On bringing this up to the MANAGER of Sandpiper Real Estate, we were told that is just the way that it is. (the quote was meaningless). I am not exaggerating in the least! Basically it came down to if we wanted to stay there, we would pay the higher rate. First we were charged additional by Sandpiper, then we were charged an additionally for using VRBO (a total of $10% higher than our original quote). The manager of Sandpiper would not even discuss this issue with me over the phone, though I requested this. Imagine picking up an item in a store only to be told when checking out at the register that the price marked on the item was actually 10% higher than what was marked on the shelf (and then being asked in an abrupt, curt, non caring manner if I wanted the item or not). That is exactly what happened to us. Renter beware, what you are actually charged may be nothing similar to what you are told you will pay.

Birthday trip
We were celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday and grandson’s 10th - just the three of us so two bedroom was perfect. Had some difficulty gaining access - the lock box was stuck - left several messages on Sat early evening and finally got someone to help. The toaster burns toast no matter what setting and the televisions were difficult to operate. Called maintenance on Monday someone promptly responded. We love Seaside - our fifth visit over the years at various houses - always have a great time!

What an amazing time we had!!! Location, Location, Location !!!!!! In less time that it would take you to load up your beach stuff and fight for an elevator down at the noisy cheesy beach themed high rise condos you have stepped off your quaint screened front porch (nothing more endearing to a true southern girl!) traversed a short distance and are sitting on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in all of Florida! Snail's Pace is wonderfully appointed with EVERYTHING you could possibly need at the beach, no matter the age of your family or beach guests. From the moment you step onto the front porch and into the lovely cottage you know you are in for a real treat. It is tastefully decorated and appointed in a delightfully rustic beach style with state of the art appliances and plush linens. Too many thoughtful amenities to name them all but a few of my favorites were the wonderful radio in the kitchen (nothing like listening to some oldies on the radio after a day at the beach with a cool drink in hand as you cook!), soft quilts and lap blankets within reach of any place you lounge, delightful screened in porch with comfy furniture, a ceiling fan and a reading lamp for rainy day reading, great assorted reading selection in case you forgot your own, tastefully decorated, fresh, clean bathrooms with everything you could possibly need, and last but certainly not least, the "crows nest" at the very top. This quickly became my go to place to star gaze, watch the storms come in off the water, to just be quiet and relax (while my husband was downstairs watching SEC Baseball!!!!) At Snails Pace you only need to bring yourself and your clothing and get ready to enjoy the beach and Northern Florida the way it was meant to be enjoyed. The owners have done an amazing job of providing the amenities and ambiance anyone would need for an wonderful vacation and time away from the real world. Loved our time at Seaside and Snail's Pace. Highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful time at the beach. The house is great & has games, beach toys and chairs and baby items all there if needed. That helps tremendously by cutting down on rental fees for those items. We really liked the house, Snail's Pace, and hope to stay there again!

October 2016 Stay
My husband and I loved our stay, it's the perfect cottage for the 2 of us. The location is ideal. The owners display their Texas hospitality with some extras: a well stocked kitchen, even tho we didn't cook much, and a good coffee maker, very important! The mattress is firm, and there's ample linen. The only recommendations: please pad the king headboards, as pointed wood can be dicey. Also some instructions on the TV would help. Maintenance was out in 3 minutes to figure it out. Sandpiper is great. Looking forward to coming back!

Loved the cottage and would happily return! Suggest an updated kitchen table (wobbly, doesn't fit the space well), an ottoman for the porch (enjoyed this space immensely), and a small laundry basket - these are minor and would not keep us from renting in the future but would make the place more comfortable. Sandpiper app was nice but inconvenient because messages came from several different email addresses leading up to our stay and then all messages were not in the app making searching for messages difficult. If listing on VRBO why not use that app - easier for this customer to have all messages in one place. Disappointed about the amenities pass and will state in our VRBO review - not a good value. We loved Seaside and will definitely return.

Mental Reset at the Sea Shore
Snails Pace is a great retreat! It is a very short walk to both the beach, and the town center. The home is very clean, well furnished, and up to date. In the mornings I brewed up a pot of coffee, pored myself a cup, and two minutes later I was at the beach enjoying the cool breeze and my java. One evening we watched a lightning storm from the enclosed "crows nest". It was a great light show. In real estate they say the key to a good property is location, location, location. Well, Snails Pace has both location and comfort. Highly recommend!

2016 Family Vacation
Our first time at Snail's Pace, and it was wonderful! This is our third trip to Seaside, and Snail's Pace was the best yet. The house is beautiful and located conveniently close to the private beach and the square. Having small kids, the location was a huge plus! The house amenities and furnishings are first class and make for an even better stay. Could not ask for more! We are already looking forward to coming back next year! Thanks for everything!

We enjoyed our stay for 4th of July week. We loved the festivities on the 4th. Snails Pace was perfect for the three of us. We enjoyed the close proximity to beach and town. We were welcomed by Sandpiper greeters and encountered no problems during our stay. Will definitely return!

Seaside retreat
We had a wonderful week in Seaside. This was our first time and it was an awesome experience. Snails pace has a lovely screened in front porch for coffee and relaxing in the am. Then off for a bike ride through the beautiful neighborhood. The house has great amenities, comfortable and cozy. Short walk to the private beach for more enjoyment in the ocean or to the private pools. Great getaway!

Great Beach Vacation
My husband and I just spent a wonderful long weekend at Snail's Pace in Seaside and had an amazingly relaxing and fun time. The house is very charming, warm and inviting. The third story tower has an awesome view of the ocean and is so calming I almost didn't want to leave it to do anything else. The location makes going to the beach so quick and easy and the house is stocked with everything you need if you come with little kids (gates, etc) or big ones (wine opener). The community is very welcoming and friendly; we rented bikes and either walked or biked everywhere we needed to go. The two women at Sandpiper Vacation Rentals - Brenda and Gina - were super helpful and accommodating. We look forward to going back soon.
