Comfortable, roomy house. Most appliances were newer, and all worked very well. Gas fireplace quickly heated the upstairs rooms. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen is large and well stocked. The house was very clean, and the air hockey table was a fun addition. View from deck is nice, and we enjoyed seeing deer every morning. Inside the house, upstairs, feels boxed in. There is no view of outside.

Had a fantastic stay. House has everything and is very well kept. It is conveniently located to everything in town. Two story layout provides almost two separate living accommodations for a group. Lots of decking to enjoy the outdoor forest scenery. Owner is extremely responsive to any questions or needs. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay with family.

We were happy how clean the property was. It suited our needs we were three in our ninety’s and two in We were looking for something on one floor with no stairs for three of us that were in our nineties. We really spent a lot of time on the upper deck. It was ideal right off the kitchen.

The property looks pretty much as shown, however a few details would help. That nice big patio is not accessible from the living area. Steep stairs to the side of the house, or steep stairs down to lower level and out the door. Some odd cleaning requests, with a hefty fee too?

Wonderful surprise, Twain’s Harte is a little gem, and this home was ideal. Super hot weather hit us and we were so glad that they had powerful air conditioning that worked wonderfully. 100 outside and we were cool to sleep and play when inside. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds, location great to go up to Pinecrest Lake for a day, fish at Kennedy Meadows, and visit Murphy’s or Columbia gold state park. The cabin kitchen had it all except we did buy ice cubes as only one tray and the hot weather. Will definitely be back.

Home located in a beautifully picturesque, friendly village. Very peaceful and quiet. Home is well furnished and comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen (with exception of spices) for cooking/eating at home. House is immaculately clean and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and beds cozy. Owner made check-in process simple.

Nice, clean, comfortable place for the four of us. Kids loved the air hockey table downstairs and the additional living space. Super close to downtown activity (park, concerts, shops, pool, mini-golf, food) and a short drive to hiking or lakes. Overall, great value.

We have stayed in this same cabin 3 years in a row and loved it. The owners keep it immaculate!! Easy drive to the lake and walkable to town if you enjoy hill walks, which we do! The outside decks are comfortable to sit at for meals on morning coffee or happy hour. They have A/C window units in both upstairs bedrooms and a newly added one in the downstairs area. This new one was a Godsend, as it was a very hot week this year! Its a a great house for a little separation of adults and grown kids! Also has a nice washer and dryer. Bed in the master was very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with all dishes, appliances, etc. We think the owners are fabulous and so easy to communicate with!

We needed a place to fit my family, my sisters family and my parents for a celebration of life. It worked perfect, clean spacious and quiet. I loved the decks and and the trees in the back. Also a quick walk to the adorable town of Twain Harte. I would definitely recommend!

Loved it!! Very comfy and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked, clean linen, comfortable beds. Very clean too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good location too. We went to Leland Snow Park (so much fun) and found a play area off Lyons Dam Rd. Good times Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at the cabin there wasn’t snow at the time we went but that didn’t stop us from having fun while at the cabin..the hockey table was a hit with the kids.

The owners, Jim and Jill, had great communication with us before and throughout. We ended up with a winter storm that impacted the entire region. Jim personally traveled to the house to get things ready and communicated the status really well. Very kind people. Great communication. Generously reasonable to work with!!

It is clear that this is a well-maintained property and it was very functional for our family . . . single mom with three teenage boys. We were fortunate to have received A LOT of snow while we were there. If you are booking a stay in the winter, be prepared with chains. Even with a 4wd and snow tires. There are a few hills and turns where chains are necessary . . . even the locals had them on to get in and out. Also, there can be quite a delay on the snow plow getting to the smaller streets. We experienced a multi-day power outage while we were there and were kept warm enough by the gas furnace on the lower level and were still able to cook on the gas stove top with a manual lighter. Mr. Proctor was very communicative and showed concerned for our well-being during the power outage, even offering to drive a full-charged battery up from the Bay Area - a 6-hour round trip - to keep our phones charged and enable us to ignite the gas stove on the main floor. Good sledding in the backyard if you do get snow. Even with the epic storm and power outage, we had a good stay. We would stay here again.

Great cabin for a quick snow getaway! The cabin was clean and exactly as pictured. The air hockey table was a big hit with the whole family! We spent a couple of days at Leland snow park which is about 30 minutes away. Communication with Jim and Jill was great!

We had a wonderful time in Twain Harte. Our house was perfect. Jim and Jill could not have been better hosts. We would hope to rent this property again in the future.

We’ve rented many cabins over the years in Twaine Harte, this one is in great shape with a terrific layout and new deck. Experienced owners provided quick communication and easy check in process . Would absolutely rent again!

This is our second year in a row staying at this cabin. It was as great this year as last year. I love that it has a big downstairs area for our adult kids to hang out at later at night when we go to bed earlier. It was immaculately clean and had lots of sanitizers and hand soaps. Plenty of paper towels and toilet paper too! The air conditioners in the upstairs rooms were lifesavers, as it was a warm week. The location is great and there’s plenty of parking. We loved the nice new bbq too. You can really tell how much love and care the owners put into this home!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Jim and Jill's house. It was immaculately clean. We cooked multiple dinners with the gas grill on the back deck. The kitchen was well-organized and easy to use. The house was spacious. We watched movies in the downstairs room. It was exceptionally hot in the area when we visited. We spent daytimes away from the house, and it cooled down reasonably well with the two air conditioning units. The air conditioners are a little noisy for sleeping, but nothing out of the ordinary for that type of unit. We liked the proximity to Pinecrest Lake, and spent a couple days there. Communication with Jim and Jill was clear and timely. We enjoyed our stay, and would return!
