Situado en un lugar fresco 2700 'elevación en la silla de montar entre Mauna Kea y las montañas Kohala, en medio del histórico Parker Ranch, este dúplex planta baja lindo con garaje para 2 coches por separado para su uso, para 2-4 personas cómodamente, privado y tranquilo en una zona rural, barrio de clase trabajadora (no hay partidos o fuerte ruido, por favor). Ideal para parejas, amigos, familias, perfecto para la isla vecino o kamaaina continental volver a casa a la isla grande para la familia, deportivas u otros eventos especiales. Estamos ubicados a unos 20 a 30 minutos de las playas de la Costa Kohala y centros turísticos, de una hora de ambas ciudades de Hilo y Kona. El clima en esta parte de la isla es similar a la de Nueva Zelanda en la que va de los vientos alisios borrascoso y lluvia a Idílico, cálido y soleado, con temperaturas nocturnas veces se sumerjan en los años 50 en los meses de invierno. El paisaje es exuberante, colinas y campos ondulados pastorales, completo con caballos, vacas y ovejas.

Perfect location to see both Kona and Hilo (1 hr each direction with beautiful scenic views)
Host was very communicative, Home had all essential amenities, and garage has plenty of beach/snorkel gear
There is a very friendly neighborhood cat named Roxy and is super friendly, usually sits on the porch ( If you do book this Vrbo please be kind to her)

Convenient and well maintained cottage in a quaint local neighborhood. The cottage was considerably private. The location was easily accessible to the main thoroughfare and town. Ideal location as we were there to attend a wedding celebration in town. Absolutely would book this home again.

Very clean, but set in a noisy neighborhood with dog barking and howling next door. On the other side a lot of kids.
I still would have been fine except for the hair dryer, dehumidifier and microwave.
Someone had put mechanics oil in the dehumidifier. I dumped it several times adding dishwasher soap, it helped.
Hairdryer made a slight grinding noise before it died. I had to go buy one. Microwave is corroded inside on didn’t work at first. Worked after several tries.

Clean and comfortable, nice cats, nice yard, lots of orchids. It's not their fault it rained for three days, but that's what keeps it so green. Luckily we were able to go down to the beaches every day to get out of the rain; saw plenty of waves and whales. We've stayed there before and would again.

A very nicely maintained small guesthouse attached to owner’s home. A garage and washer/dryer was also available for our use, along with some beach toys.
This was a nice location between Hilo and Kona away from hotel and resort traffic, within easy drives to all of the attractions. Overall a lovely place to stay!

Rural gem outside Waimea. Print directions prior to driving to property. I lost signal and did not have a connection until Wifi signal at the bungalow.
Property was clean and had comforts of home. Perfect location when visiting north west side of the island.
Beautiful part of the island with many things to do in Waimea, Honokaa, Waipio, and Hawi.

This place was a great place for my mother, brother and me to stay. It was in the middle of two places we needed to go. Stores close by. Very clean and comfortable. Contact with the owners was great. We felt very welcome.

Exactly as listed! The home came with all the essentials and more. Easy checkin and checkout. I really enjoyed my coffee in the mornings in the breezeway. My son loved playing outside with the friendly neighborhood cat named Roxy. Gemma left great recommendations for restaurants and adventuring. She was very sweet.

After the first week of our vacation on the beach, we enjoyed the cooler days at altitude. From here we were quickly in the north of big island to visit the green valleys and also the way to the summit of mauna kea was not far. Our children were very happy about the discovered chameleons in the garden and my wife about the delicious lemons. I liked the fluffy carpet in the living room ;-) Mahalo!

Immaculate, convenient and restful. Just what we were looking for. Didn't need to cook but appreciated the full kitchen -- mostly used the microwave and large refrigerator for fruit. Great host!

Gemma’s place is a great launching pad for big island activities, we really enjoyed the proximity to Waimea, beaches as well as the Kohala coast and the market at Honoka’a.
The place was clean and quiet and had a garage with boogie boards and snorkels for beach days. All in all, we really enjoyed the stay and thank Gemma for her excellent communication throughout.

Prices for vacation rentals have increased astronomically on the big island. So we were grateful to find a place under $100 a night. It is in a residential neighborhood, on the wet side of Waimea so we knew and cold

This is our second time staying here. Gemma makes everything so welcoming and we felt right at home. Everything is provided and I mean everything! We were there for Halloween and Gemma left a bowl and two bags of candy for trick or treaters. That was such a thoughtful touch! I want to highly recommend but I’m afraid too many people will find it and it won’t be available when we want it again. Haha.
