This is a lovely property in the woods overlooking a golf course and a charming pond.The cabin is thoughtfully stocked. To the delight of my grandchildren deer and rabbits wandered through the property morning and evening. It is very clean and comfortable. I think the activities we had planned each day were just a distraction from the time my family wanted to spend at the cabin. Thank you so much Steve and Karin.

The location is perfect – nestled in Star Valley, yet conveniently close to Jackson Hole and Palisades. This made it easy for us to explore the stunning surroundings while having a cozy and comfortable place to return to.

Everything about this house was absolutely wonderful except for the heat. We were there in June.
The view out the front windows was great. But you have to keep the shades closed in the afternoon due to the excessive heat. Since most windows don't open, there is no breeze. It got quite hot during the day. Fortunately, we used the wonderful deck. With the retractable awning there is a choice between sitting in sun or shade. Overall I would recommend this house.

I’ve always wanted to have Christmas in the woods with my family. This was the perfect place to stay. We had a great time. Karin and Steve were great and easy to communicate with. The cabin is well stocked with everything we needed. We cooked every meal there and didn’t lack for anything. Everything is as it is listed.

Couldn't have been happier with our stay here. The owners were incredibly accommodating and helpful. Cabin is in the perfect location, nestled in the trees right off the golf course and next to a pond. Nice open kitchen for family dinners and games. Highly recommend!

It was a great location for all of the activities we wanted to do, it was clean, and comfortable. Our only complaint was that it got a little warm in the house in the afternoon, but it cooled off fast near sundown. Steve was great to work with and I was so amazed that he and his family built the cabin.

Plenty of room. The kids were able to really spread out. We were visited each morning by a doe and her fawn. Seems that the kitchen was the gathering area, no problem for 18 people.Every evening the boys 10yo to 7, played basketball with their dads. Great Fun! Overall a great stay.

The perfect cabin for our family get together, wedding, and 50th anniversary! We had 10 adults and 5 kids and this cabin was perfect for us. Plenty of room for everyone. Quiet peaceful neighborhood you didn’t feel like anyone was close. Gorgeous views and even a few deer. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect place to spend the week. The owners were the sweetest and so inviting. We are already trying to figure out when we can return!

Lots of fun
This place was perfect for our family vacation. Enough beds and bedrooms for everyone, and no one was fighting over bathrooms. It was really nice being able to sit down and eat with everyone, and having 2 ovens and 2 fridges was really helpful for the amount of food we needed! It was an easy day trip to the national parks, and the kids enjoyed playing playing at the nearby community park as well. Steve and Karin made sure we had everything we needed for the week, and it was easy to reach them in case we had any questions. Everyone loved it! Thanks!

Perfect Family Reunion!
This place in Star Valley was the perfect fit for all 23 family members! There were plenty of beds for everyone and the “young adults” loved the dark Mickey room. The kitchen had everything we needed and the large table was great for meals so we could all be together. The location had good hiking, fishing and close enough to Jackson Hole to enjoy it for a day too. Steve & Karin were excellent hosts and met us to go over everything and made sure we were comfortable. Sure hope we can enjoy your beautiful place again in the future.

Wyoming wedding weekend
My brother in law got married at Preston ranch cabins, so we found this beautiful home to accommodate our large group! We were only 8 miles away from the wedding venue and were able to enjoy fishing, golfing and a quick trip to Jackson! The hosts are AMAZING! They are so sweet and very kind. The house is gorgeous and great for big groups who like to hang out together and spend time outside! Thanks Afflecks! We will be back!

Perfect for Family Reunion
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this home for our family reunion. We gathered siblings and cousins from all over the world and we were so happy with this spot. Every room was so comfortable. We were able to sleep a large number of people really well. The views from all the huge windows were beautiful. The kitchen was the very best part. It was so big, so perfect for cooking for a big family. The table could seat us all for meals together. The location is perfect for golfing, fishing, hiking, rafting the Snake River and all the other fun things Star Valley has. We did it all and had so much fun together! Perfect for large family gatherings
I cannot say how perfect this property is for getting together with extended family. It is not just a property, but a *home*, and we felt welcomed to it from the moment we started communicating with the owner long in advance of our reservation dates. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and Steve and Karen met us in person at check-in to make sure we knew the ins and outs of the rental and had everything we needed. Due to COVID, some of the extended family group was unable to make the trip, and the Afflecks were wonderfully flexible and responsive with communication as we determined how to proceed. We would love to return with our whole group to enjoy everything in the area - although staying in and enjoying the house and grounds is just as wonderful as heading out! We made trips to Yellowstone and Teton with our young families, and it was perfect to balance those long days of adventure with days of relaxing on the deck playing cards and enjoying the view. Thank you, Steve and Karen, for an exceptional stay and memories we will treasure!

Walt's family vacation
Bedrooms, kitchen, and deck were perfect for family with children. We ranged in age from 66 to 2.5. Everything was clean and functional. We needed a little more space outside on the property for the children to play, but there was a playground and swimming pool only 5 minutes via car from the cabin.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we head back to that are of the country again, we may try to stay there again. And for us city folk, the views of the stars were amazing.

Wonderful vacation Rental
We booked this property almost a year in advance. Steve reached out to me quickly to let me know that the price per night had just changed and the dates I had chosen were not actually available. normally this would have been a deal breaker for me, but he made it really comfortable to work it out with me.
A year later we show up and were greeted personally by Steve and his wife Karin. They gave us a tour of their home, and answered all our questions. They gave us a little history of how they came to build the home and how their family has enjoyed it over the years. We really felt their love for their home which really helped us to feel at home for the week we stayed there with our extended family.
The home was the cleanest rental we have ever had. They have kept the home in immaculate condition. We tried our best to keep it that way during our stay and to leave it as clean as we could when we checked out.
Overall it was a wonderfull rental.
