We enjoyed being close to the University and great communication by the host! Nice home and location.

This was a fantastic stay and I will do it again. I only gave location a 4 out of five because it is not in walking distance of downtown. Otherwise, fantastic retreat.

Had a Wonderful Fall family weekend with our App State freshman at the property, giving her a home away from home atmosphere. The owner, Robin, was great and we would definitely stay again. Very well appointed to achieve the home cooked meals and baked treats.

The home was nice. I want able to find the outdoor trash can to place the inside trash. The dishwasher was full of clean dishes so I wasn’t able to put my dirty dishes away. The sun comes through the A frame window in the morning shining very bright on the bed in the loft. Wasn’t able to sleep past sunrise.

The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed our stay.

This is the second time we've stayed at this property and we were just as happy this time as we were the first. Very clean and super quiet area. Quick Access to downtown Boone but far enough away to not know it. Great place!

Great place and location!

We loved the house and location. It's a perfect set up for privacy and togetherness. We were impressed with the supplies provided. It's a great area to walk and you're close to App. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Wonderful property. Clean and homey. Fully outfitted for meal prep and electronics. Unfortunately had four days of rain and no views due to fog/clouds. Only issue was trees scraping across tin roof at back of house during rain and wind. Did not make for restful nights.

Just a few minutes from Boone Wonderful deck and space for kids. Yes the driveway is steep but no one had any problems.

We had a weekend soccer tournament in Boone and rather than get 2 hotel rooms, I searched for a house/cabin to rent. We didn't need too much house but wanted to be able to spread out a little more than a hotel would let us. This fit the bill perfectly. Plenty of space for all of us (x6) but still more if you needed it. House was clean and ready to go. Had everything that you would need. I definitely would say the drive in the winter/bad weather could be tricky as it is after all in the mountains. Fortunately we had good weather so there were no issues. Great stay, would highly recommend.

The property was exactly as described in the listing and communication with the property owner was prompt and insightful. We enjoyed the seclusion this property offered and the variety of rooms and space for our family to enjoy! Close to eateries and entertainment, but far enough away it felt special!

We really enjoyed everything about the cabin. The views are amazing and it was clean and comfortable. We will be back !

Overall, a great property and very secluded and peaceful. A few things to know: the road up is quite windy and it did prevent us from wanting to go out after dark (but we are also overly cautious about that sort of stuff!) The upstairs loft gets quite bright in the morning and can also be loud -- we happened to be there during some pretty significant storms. The downstairs bedroom was really quiet -- in retrospect we should have had the kids sleep upstairs so just keep that in mind! The heating of the place is by stand alone space heaters so it's not going to heat really uniformly and 1 or 2 of them didn't seem to work thoroughly. The checkout process was really easy and that was great and the hosts were nice with thorough check in instructions (though I would recommend more clearly calling out where the lockbox is located -- we got there in the dark and it was hard to see where it was. Overall a great place on the woods, super close to Boone and convenient to everything!

Beautiful mountain home in a gated community. Drive to the property can be challenging in difficult weather. Very comfortable for two couples, and perhaps kids on sleeper sofas. The view and morning sun through the vaulted ceilings and windows is awesome!

This cabin is is very beautiful and big for a family or or group of friends. I will definitely be renting again!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The home was clean, fully stocked, and oozing with comfort and love from every corner. The location is very close to downtown Boone and App State making it very convenient. Highly recommended.

This was a great family cabin. We really enjoyed our time playing games with our son and exploring the town. Robin is wonderful and very accommodating! We ended up having to add an extra night last minute because of the ice and snow storm but Robin made that really easy and stress free. Will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at the cabin, we were all cozy at night and loved waking up to the sunrise views. Our winter weekend had no weather issues to contend with, so winding up the mountain and steep driveway was not an issue. Great proximity to downtown Boone, yet felt like we were far away and secluded in the mountains - which was awesome! Robin was very communicative, and helped us with a minor issue immediately. Great spot for our family’s first trip to Boone area.

Me & my husband enjoyed every second of our trip while staying here! It is in a beautiful location which is close to town. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, and the cabin is very charming. The views from the deck are great as well! Would love to come back and stay here again!

Absolutely gorgeous location , everything you need and beautifully decorated for the holidays. Definitely had a winter wonderland with snow up there. Robin warns everyone to make sure you have a 4WD vehicle if it is winter time and she was not joking. The driveway is steep and if there is snow/ice... it is a tricky situation. Beautiful interior, plenty of space and the balconies would have been great to sit and relax if it was not -10 degrees. Quick response time and very accomodating. Definitely going to stay here again. 😁

Perfect for a small family gathering. Nice to have the bottom floor all for the kids with toys, games and a big bed and pull-out couch. Loved that the place was all decorated for Christmas! Kitchen needs some updating, but fine for small/quick meals. Convenient location to downtown Boone!

The cabin was perfect for 4 adults but could easily have accommodated a few more people. Robin had decorated for the holidays so it was fun to get into the Christmas spirit with her decor and the COLD weather of Boone! The location was close to downtown only minutes away. Being that you're up near Howards Knob, the route is moutainous...so be mindful of that if you encounter winter weather. Great place to stay when visiting Boone, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk!

As advertised, good place to stay before going to App game.

We enjoyed a weekend stay and football game at App. The house is perfect for two couples with separate areas for each. The cabin is in a private setting and a short 10 minute drive to campus.

Loved every minute of our stay in this gorgeous log home. Plenty of nice seating, comfy beds, and lots of towels. Totally clean and tidy. The gas logs were perfect for the onset of chilly fall evenings.

Ms robin was a great host and so helpful with any questions we had. We had a family emergency and had to leave and Ms robin was so helpful. Beautiful cabin

The property was perfect for our family. The home had everything needed for a weekend getaway. Sunrise view was perfect!
