The home was in a perfect place in between the city and beaches. Had plenty of rooms and amenities.
There was a a few issues we had that was a problem for us and hopefully the owner fixes these for future renters.
The house had a strong animal urine smell that was an issue all week and caused allergic issues. Another was the pool light was out and with the heat we wanted to swim at night but it wasn't safe. We found one of the pull out couches to have droppings in and caused some sleep arrangement issues and more allergic problems.
Overall the house worked and was a good price point but should of been a little more renter ready.

We needed a large home for my family to stay for my daughters wedding in Escondido. They had a civil wedding in 2019 and wanted a big celebration following year but didn’t happen til this year. The house did accommodate us but we had a problem with beds. There were 3 couples and 2 singles. 4 Queen beds and a single bed plus a small single pull out (fabric was falling apart) in the dining/kitchen area. 3 of the Queen mattresses are firm and one is not. I have a bad back so I took the firmest bed which was in a dimly lit room. Lighting in the master bedroom was good except the fan wobbled a lot. The other room had good lighting but the mattress was very soft. Master bedroom has a Queen and single bed as advertised but hard to have one couple and a single person stay in one room. We arrived during the day and all was fine but my brother arrived at night and it was pitch black outside. I had noticed two garage wall lanterns and figured they were motion sensored. They were not and we had to use flash lights on our phones. But there should be more sensored lighting on the outside of the house. Kitchen was very nice - we did not cook the 7 nights we were there but it did lack silverware for 10 people. Bathrooms were great - the master bedroom has a spa like shower. The main bathroom has a long counter to fit everyone’s toiletries if you have multiple people using it. Plenty of towels and sheets but I prefer to travel with mine. The home smelled musty so bring a diffuser which I brought a couple to clean and purify the air. The furniture is dated but comfortable. My husband did notice two chairs that had broken pieces on the bottom fixed with wire around the bottom to keep together and we avoided using those chairs. The 4th “bedroom” is an office area with a bed, couch and desk and it has no door - it has pull down blinds and it’s connected to the living room and it has purple dim lighting. The backyard needs a little work to make it look nice to relax - table and chairs were not wiped down before our arrival and the pool was green. I didn’t look on Wed/Thurs when we arrived but on Friday when my hubby and brother wanted to use it they had to scrub it and it had algae. Texted Cindy and she had the pool guy out to clean it but on Saturday we were not comfortable using it. Cindy was great at texting me back answering my questions. Good place to stay all in all. Buy a glass of delicious Sangria next door and eat at Estrella’s in town.

This is not my first rodeo. I have been vacationing in VRBO homes for well over 20 years. So here is my story.
Good stuff: Very effective a/c (as soon as Cindy turned it on), Inside home is very clean (kudos to Krystal). Kitchen pretty well equipped. 3 TV's but none worked properly. Could only watch movies or videos (no local). Not knowing what was happening in the world not such a bad thing for a few days I guess.
Bad stuff: None of the pictures really showed what the yard was like. There is absolutely no grass, only scraps of green carpet laying here and there (strange). Lots of weeds and dirt. There is a 2-story home right next to the yard that looks down on the pool, so no privacy what-so-ever. Grove, what grove? Nothing but dead or dying trees. Plus there is someone living in a mobile home on one edge of the grove and has a hammock strung between the trees and assorted trash strewed around the ground.. Did not feel completely safe with that situation (we had no men with us except first night) I had invited some friends to hang out at the pool and have dinner with us for my birthday, but asked them not to come because I was embarrassed by the yard situation.
Overall, Cindy was easily available for any questions and her cleaning lady, Krystal even delivered a phone charger to my daughter's home (I'm thankful Krystal lived close to her)

AMAZING stay!!
We had THE best time at this property. We stayed here for 10 nights (June-July 2023). Spacious kitchen. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool was great and was stocked with plenty of pool toys/chairs. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The property also has an orchard and two of the days we got oranges from the orchard and made orange juice for the family in the electric juicer that the kitchen is stocked with. The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked a lot. Cindy was the best host. She was always available by phone and calls. She even added extra security for my kiddos for the pool (though the pool is already fenced). Towards the end of my stay I had some Amazon items that I shipped out to her property (and the delivery of these items was delayed). She was so gracious and shipped these out for me. Last mention of ease of access to San Diego area and lots to do in the area. Would stay again!!

Perfect property for any type of stay!
I cannot say enough of how wonderful our week long stay has been. Cindy is just an absolute wonder of a host and accommodated our questions at the drop of a dime. In my title I mentioned any type of stay as in the type of group you bring to the home. We had a family of 6 with children aged 9,8,3,1. The fence around the pool gave a peace of mind, not to mention the hours of fun the kids (including my husband) had in the pool! There were so many floaties to use in the garage and also the ping pong table was a hit! The orchard in front of the house was so nice to walk through and gather avocados and oranges each day, not to mention the lizard catching my husband and oldest son partook in! It was just so relaxing and exactly what we needed as a military family in transit to our new home. Anything and everything you need for your stay is here!!! Thank you Cindy and we hope to stay with you again!

Convenient yet secluded nice place to stay!
This place was perfect for our family & pet friendly. Not far away from convenient stores & not too far from Oceanside as we wanted something in between SD & LA. My entire family enjoyed the pool & accessaries with all water play. Very pleasant place to stay & great open concept plan. Kitchen & bathrooms was supplied with everything you would need. The stay at this home was beautiful. We will miss the quiet neighborhood, the pool and the stunning kitchen & bathroom, as well as the beautiful wood woodwork in the home. Cindy, our house was absolutely welcoming and always touched base with us with any needs we had.

Convenient location...
The 180 Red Mountain Lane property is conveniently located close to the I15 freeway so was great when we wanted to head into San Diego.
Cindy, the owner, was super responsive anytime we had a question and was always extremely helpful if ever there was an issue.
She has made good use of space so lots of areas for folks to sleep and also has installed black out blinds on the sunnier side of the home.
There are lots of board games and pool floaties for family fun time.
Unfortunately the pool wasn’t useable while we were there, but it didn’t effect our stay.
Some other reviews complained of ants, yes there are ants, but anywhere you go in CA you are going to experience ants. If you clean up after yourself and don’t leave sticky or sweet things lying around you will be fine. We did not have a problem and we were there during a heatwave for 3 months.
Cindy has set up her home to include just about anything you might need during your stay. She really wants you to enjoy her home and your experience while in her home.
If there was anything that we needed, she made every attempt to accommodate.
The hummingbirds out back are incredible to watch too.

Nice House with a pool to take a break from the city!
Cindy's house is big and well suited to a comfortable stay. The pool is what made the house a wonderful place for my kids but she also has a huge kitchen and very nice bathrooms. There is an orchard next to the house where we picked some oranges and sweet pomelos. Really nice. The landscaping is a little rough but I can see it's a work in progress. It ends up being a good set up for using the pool and not tracking dirt into the house. We really had a nice time there and would definitely go again.

Getaway with family and friends
The kids loved having a pool and hot tub to enjoy whenever they wanted. The kitchen was plenty big and had everything we needed for easy, quick meal prep. There was also ample bedding and blankets for all 10 of us to sleep comfortably! Cindy was very responsive and super thoughtful even getting a gift for our kids as she knew we were going to Legoland while there. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Cindy

Family Wedding
We travelled from Ottawa Ontario Canada to California for a family wedding. We prefer staying at vacation homes over hotels. We were 3 families 7 adults and 2 children).
We chose Cindy’s property based on space and amenities.
It was fabulous!! We were all so impressed. The booking process was so easy. Cindy reached out immediately, answered all of my questions and provided me with so much additional information. She was available via text/email and responded during our entire stay.
Her house was beautiful and it has a comfortable homey feel. It is very welcoming when you open the front door. Sparkling clean and spacious. Bedrooms were roomy, beds comfortable. Bathrooms were spotless ( I’m picky with this). Everything we need for cooking and meal preparation was available in the kitchen. Lots of clean towels in the bathrooms. The pool, spa and backyard was so relaxing. Cindy also had a large selection of pool toys and towels as well as beach supplies.
The living room and TV area was spacious. We were extremely comfortable.
There is a winery next store which was delightful.
This is a very quiet location and a very short drive to the beach, San Diego, and Temecula.
I would highly recommend this property and applaud Cindy for being an incredibly generous and caring hostess.

Neat house for large group
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The kitchen is amazing, and we loved having fresh fruit right next door. One thing that was a little funky was the one bedroom that didn't have a door, just blinds to separate it from the living room. Overall it was a nice place to stay, comfortable beds, and plenty of room to spread out. Cindy was excellent at being in constant communication with us as we had questions or needed something. Communication is so important on a vacation rental and I really appreciated that! Thank you Cindy for a nice stay at your home.

Another great stay!
Just like our trip last spring, this was another great one. This year we were able to bring the whole family and we had an amazing time. There’s so much room that we were able to go out separate ways if we needed to, but also cozy enough in the living room area for us to all be together. The dogs loved the yard, and it’s relatively quiet so there wasn’t much to disturb the peace.
This is top of our list for future stays in the San Diego area!

Nice getaway house, close to San Diego
The pictures do not do justice of how pretty the house is. It was very clean. We had a party of 6 and there was plenty of room. The kitchen is huge. Any kitchen supply you need is probably here. There is a huge orchard in the front yard. It was nice to go to the orchard every morning and grab a couple of oranges, grapefruit or lemons to make juice with. She even has a small juicer. We made a couple of meals and stayed in just because the kitchen was so inviting. The living room had plenty of space to set 6 and watch tv on. All the bedrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower off the master bedroom was amazing. Very large. The pool was nice for evenings after we were out all day. Relaxing and clean. We all enjoyed our stay and if we come back to the area, we would stay again.

The Kids had a great TIME!
We came with a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids, 2 - 17 years old). The pool was great and the pong table was used every day. House was clean and large enough for our large group, with plenty of bed space and comfortable chairs to relax in. The kitchen was in great shape, making it easy to cook. Good coffee was supplied for our 4-day stay.
Cindy had plenty of beach supplies in the garage. Everything went smoothly and the place was overstocked with the essentials. Fallbrook is a nice quiet town, but you're easily close enough to the beach and bigger cities in SD area. We went to the SeaShore Beach and SD, both were 35 minutes away. The kids had a great time in the fruit orchard too.

Good. Could be great
We stayed here May 2018 and it was nice and ok. I would not say our stay was stellar by any means. The house is big and we had lots of room but some things were just different than we have experiences before. There is a lot of personal stuff in the home, mainly the master bedroom which isn’t bad just inconvenient and it made it hard to unpack. A new BBQ is needed. The one there is very rusted. We did run out of propane and they were nice enough to bring some over. Directions to how to use the tv and DVD player would be nice as well. The owner was nice enough to get extra pool toys for my kids which they enjoyed.
So over all it was good but a few changes would make it great IMO.
We slept 4 adults and 3 children without any fuss.

We booked this rather last minute due to a number of factors, and Cindy was great with the late notice. The photos don’t do the house justice. We were amazed at how big it was when we got in.
Cindy came over to greet us the first morning, and brought us freshly squeezed orange juice the second morning. She kept in contact to keep us up to date on when she might be by and offered to make us breakfast (which we weren’t able to take her up on this trip).
Our dogs had a great time in the yard, and the place is nestled in a quiet cul de sac so we didn’t have to worry about neighboring dogs riling them up.
My wife and I are already considering this a regular vacation spot for future family trips to the area. The drive to the coast and downtown San Diego may be a little long for some, but the house and area in which it’s located are worth it.

do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE.
I don't even know where to begin. I was in a last minute bind for a friend's wedding and while I was not expecting much going into my weekend stay at Cindy's home, the outcome could not have been worse.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the following:
1. Rotten dairy & fruit in the kitchen
2. A bowl of dark brown water next to the sink with what looked to be a molded artichoke.
3. Mice running throughout the house in the kitchen & bedrooms. One guest even opened up their suitcase to find a mouse nestled in her clothes. When I asked Cindy about the mice, she told me she knew there was an infestation and was supposed to fumigate but did not have a chance to do so. If this is something you are aware of.... DO NOT RENT YOUR HOME OUT TO PEOPLE! This is a major health violation.
4. Mouse droppings throughout the house. At one point I went to grab tissues and ended up blowing my nose with a tissue full of mouse droppings.
5. Piles of bird seed all around the master bedroom closet which had attracted bugs. When I asked Cindy about this she said she was aware that a bag of bird seed had broken in her closet. Perhaps she should have cleaned this up if she was aware there was a mess.
6. Cobwebs and spiders throughout the house. Everywhere possible corner of the house is covered in cobwebs
7. A large DEAD rabbit at the bottom of the pool which made enjoying the back yard pretty impossible as every time we walked outside we were greeted by a dead animal. Cindy was made aware of this and never once attempted to send out animal services to take care of the rabbit.
8. Plates of bird seed/food sitting around the outside of the property which of course does not help this rodent infestation issue.
And worst yet, Cindy will not be issuing one cent of a refund, not even the cleaning fee (which obviously she just pockets for herself considering she told me she does not use a cleaning crew and does it herself.... clearly not very well). After 1 miserable night in the house and many complaints, Cindy gave me 45 minutes to try to find a new hotel/home and get a 50% refund, which was completely unreasonable considering it was a holiday weekend and EVERY hotel within 30 minutes was booked (I even called a travel agent to try to help me and they confirmed the lack of availabilities in the area).
VRBO, please get Cindy's home off this site! Unsanitary, disgusting, outdated home. I have the pictures to prove it!

Wonderful hilltop house, clean, large, warm and comfortable
We came here with a large group for a cycling training camp, and the house was perfect. It was clean and large enough for our large group, with plenty of bed space and comfortable chairs in the living room to relax in. Kitchen was in great shape, making it easy to cook for a big group. Fallbrook is a nice quiet town, but you're easily close enough to the beach and bigger cities in SD area. The De Luz area north of fallbrook is beautiful and perfect for hiking, biking, and outdoor exploring. Cindy is a fantastic and welcoming host, she was there to help us get settled in the house before our stay.
