Would rent again

We had such a great time at Sherri and Alan’s. The house was perfect for our family of 4. So much room! Our teens loved the loft upstairs. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking, swimming and fish. The house was so well stocked and we loved the hot tea selection.

We chose this because it was close to Inks Lake and Colorado Bend State Park. Our kids loved swimming in lake Buchanan and our hosts were amazing.

Everything was great. The location couldn't be better. The only downside was the floor rugs were filled with sand, dirt and rocks and the pans were not really clean. There was also a dirty cookie sheet in the oven. These things are easily fixed and I wouldn't let that deter anyone from staying there. The owner helped us in with our bags which was very nice. Unlike some places we have stayed the kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook.

We enjoyed our getaway and would stay there again.

We had a great time even with all the rain. Sherri and Alan are so nice and very helpful. Our three boys had so much fun fishing and playing on the beach. Will come back again!

Very impressive. Very nice, quite clean and modern A Frame. And the bed is super comfortable.

Everything was exactly as described. House is in the perfect location. Very kid friendly area for the water. The gradual slope makes it as kid friendly as it can be. Thanks Mrs. Sherri for everything

It is everything they advertise and more. The property is incredible and the views are amazing. The house was perfect for our family. Overall it was a great experience

Peaceful stay on the lake, good views

When we entered the house it was clean and you could smell the cleanliness. My wife gave it a two thumbs up and knowing my wife that is major. Nice music was playing as well when we entered. Very very happy I chose this location. Be ready to enjoy each others company because if you love to be head down in your phone forget it which is what we need. Sherri did tell us that wifi is ify but she has direct TV with plenty of channels. Sherri is very sweet and nice and communicates well to make sure your stay is pleasant. We will definitely be returning in the future....

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at this property! We only had 3 of us & our dog, but was able to kayak, grill out, & sit on deck to relax, read, & enjoy view. Sherri checked in on us once arrived which was nice. There is privacy even though another rental house on property next door. We would come back...great kitchen, access to lake, beach, & massive rock structures as enter property entrance which we took walk to & photos!

Beautiful property and delightful host!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed this beautiful property. The owner, Alan, is a wonderful host that truly wanted us to enjoy our time spent there. We rented a boat from Alan, caught a few fish, and loved how peaceful and relaxing this trip was. Overall, it was an amazing vacation and we will be back in the near future.

My husband and two dogs enjoyed our weekend getaway. We took advantage of the boat rental and charcoal grill. Definitely bring some water shoes as recommended by the owner. You do have houses/cabin on either side but we still felt that it was pretty private. The lake is beautiful. The cabin is very clean and the owners are very friendly and polite. We are so thankful to have found this piece of paradise and have recommended it to other friends and family (as much as we’d love to keep it our little secret!). Great location, beautiful property! The water is great, easy access, lots of places to fish on the property! We lucked out and had it to ourselves for the 3 days we were here. The owners were very nice and easy to get a hold of. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

On reviewer said the pictures do not do this lake house justice and they were right. This place is amazing. The location is perfect, right on the lake and made daily swims and kayak trips so convenient. Alan and Sherri were the best hosts and the communication was perfect. This will be our go to lake home rental for the future.

We loved the lake house and the private little beachfront on the lake. We had a great time swimming, relaxing and sitting on the deck. The owners were great to communicate with and everything went smoothly. We will go back!

Sherri and Alan were fantastic hosts. The house is exactly as advertized- a very comfortable lake retreat. We had the best time sitting in camp chairs in the water along the beach right out front. We also brought our small 16 ft. boat. It was incredibly easy to put in at the local boat ramp and motor over to their dock. The kitchen was well stocked with more than just the basics. The view of the lake and stars at night was delightful. We brought our 15-week old grandson for his first vacation and had the time of his life splashing in the water. Thank you so much for such a relaxing time.

A friend and I went out for a birthday celebration and the house was even cooler than the pictures. A beautiful deck, great private beach, lots of light in the house from the windows, a fun kitchen stocked with unique dishes and glassware, and fun lake house decor. We’ll definitely be coming back! This was the perfect place for a socially distant few days away. The house was lovely! Kitchen had everything you need! Just bring your food and drinks. We spent all our time outside. The lake was so refreshing. The hosts are perfect! So kind! Thanks for opening your place to our family!! Can’t wait to return in July!

We really enjoyed our stay. The views from the cabin were beautiful. The outdoor areas where great for our kids. At the suggestion of the owners, we brought our kids bikes for them to ride around the property. We enjoyed the piers for fishing and the Sandy beach for splashing around some in the water despite the water being chilly this time of year. The owners were extremely welcoming and accommodating as well as very responsive. We would definitely love to return and even possibly rent the larger cabin on the property as well. We would highly recommend This great, lakefront cabin.

From the planning stages to check out the owners made me feel at ease about our stay & were very accommodating with our dogs, which helped me relax on the trip. The property is beautiful and quiet and the sandy beach was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place.

Sherry and Alan's cabin on the lake is a perfect, peaceful and private getaway. They were awesome hosts and the spot on the lake was perfect. Beds were comfy. Air was cool. And the water was very nice. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and will be coming back.

This little cottage by the lake was all I expected it to be and more. The property manager was pleasant and the house itself was clean and homey. I loved the quiet and swimming in the lake with my daughters and puppy was fantastic. I will visit again in the future

Great lake house. The grandkids and our dog had a wonderful time.

This house is very nice and well-appointed. The furnishings are plush, the kitchen well-stocked, and the bathroom even had plenty of large towels for our family (feels so nice to get clean after being in the lake all day!). The Crawfords (owners) have made several other hospitable touches, such as a bowl of travel-sized toiletries available on the counter, or the ice trays already full in the freezer. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom, which has a nice carpet and a really good stand-up fan that helped the room stay cool like my husband likes it. Our two daughters stayed in the upstairs loft, which has another king bed as well as a twin -- my little 8 year old looked pretty cute sleeping on that king-sized bed all by herself while my 10 yr old took the twin sized one that was cozily under the eaves. The loft room is spacious and has nice windows and a bench seat along the front wall; only thing is, the narrow spiral staircase leading up to it is not for the faint of heart! We also loved the large deck at the back of the house that faces the lake. I spent many relaxing hours just lounging and reading there, watching the kids play in the water. And one night, we sat out there gazing at the incredible number of stars that can be seen in that country sky. One other *really* nice touch is that the beach leading down to the water in their semi-private cove has a LOT of soft fluffy white sand for the kids to play in. This sand has obviously been brought in to supplement what was already just a basic granite sand and rock beach. That sand was awesome! It was great for the kids, kind to our feet, and very nice for the adults to sit on in lawn chairs. Finally, Sherri and Alan Crawford were extremely gracious and responsive. They checked in on us, helped with airing up our water floats, things like that. They also had some kayaks and a canoe for rent, along with life jackets and paddles. We had a blast kayaking around the slough and exploring! This is a great property, and I would recommend it to anyone! It also worked really well for our large family gathering, since the rest of my extended family stayed at the other property on the Crawford's 17 acre spread, and that way we had the entire lake front to ourselves.
