This house was perfect! Clean, extremely well stocked, fantastic location, and outstanding Host!!
Everything you need or want is in this house from coffee/cups and fully stocked kitchen, to bathroom items, to cushions for the deck furniture, to necessities for a beach visit, to well curated books to read. I will only stay here on my next trip to the UP.

Close walk to “down town” and steps to Lake Superior, could not have picked a more perfect location for our group. There were only 3 of us but house for sure can accommodate more if needed. Property owner was very on top of everything and checked in to ensure our stay was flawless. 5+ stars, we all would stay again if we find ourselves in Marquette again!

This is our second time to stay at The Urban Beachcomber and it was an absolute delight again! Clean with an attention to detail, this light and airy home is exactly what we needed to celebrate and relax. The morning sunsets, easy walks to downtown and a relaxing evening talking with family makes this place perfect. If there were more than five stars, you’d have them!

My family of 4 adults enjoyed our stay in Marquette. We particularly liked the location and the well-stocked kitchen which is the main reason we choose rentals over hotels. Having bedrooms on three different floors was ideal to provide everyone privacy. We did run into an issue in the basement with an unpleasant sewage smell, but it was most likely due to weather. We did contact the owner and were very pleased with all the communication before and during our stay.

Matt’s place was a perfect fit for our two families. The downstairs level with a bedroom, bathroom, and entertainment room was perfect for a second family to have some privacy. The location was great, would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the easy beach access! We were especially impressed with the well-stocked kitchen. Highly recommend this property!

We spend a week in Marquette every summer. This property is oerfect in every way.....location, well stocked, plenty of room to spread out and Matt is always in communication with you for anything. Our family enjoyed the shops and restauraunts near by, easy beach access, and quick drive to access hiking, waterfalls, fly fishing. Will definitely book again.

This house was simply wonderful. And probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Lots of room, very nicely remodeled, a HOT sauna that was amazing and close to everything. You can see Lake Superior from the window and its right on a bike trail. The over is amazing as well. We will be back!

As someone who has rented lots of places, we have never had as good an experience. First of all, the place was better than advertised. Second, Matt was so communicative that everything went so smoothly. Finally, the property was just amazing.

This was an awesome place for us to stay! Very clean, tastefully decorated and such attention to detail. Matt was accessible and a delight to work with. My daughter and her family are going back up to stay at the house again for their next NMU commencement. Highly recommended!

This is our second stay at this cottage and we continue to love it. The cottage is clean, cozy, and well equipped. It is perfect walking distance to the beach and three parks. Presque Isle, downtown Marquette, and the bike path are all close by but the area is quiet and traffic is not a problem. Matt is very accessible and helpful. I highly recommend this host.

Perfect for family time visiting our NMU student. The foosball table got plenty of use by our boys. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything I needed to cook for a hungry family after full days of hiking around Marquette. The outdoor barbecue was also a very nice addition, who doesn’t love a full tank of propane and steaks on the grill! I enjoyed the creative and whimsical decor and warm radiant heat. Next time I hope to fire up the Sauna after some skiing and snowshoeing adventures. The interior was spotlessly clean and it was apparent the cottage was lovingly cared for inside and out. I can’t wait call the Beachcomber our home away from home again soon!

Such a great place. Perfect for a family or a group of friends. What’s not listed in the description and was really enjoyed was the large backyard and deck. The open concept indoors, along with the multiple bedrooms and living rooms made it for such a great place for our group. For summer/fall, couldn’t ask for a better location. Watched the sunrise every morning from either the back deck, or walking on the beach. Thanks so much! Will be back for sure!

Beautiful location & home! We loved this property! Really well done. Probably the cleanest vrbo I have ever stayed at! And Matt was VERY accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. My father was born & raised in MQT so this location made visiting with family & site seeing easy! Road is in front of house but hardly heard any noise from outside at all.

Lovely home so close to the beach it was wonderful. The road can get busy but we enjoyed walking to the playground and to downtown. You are able to see Lake Superior while setting on the deck. The house felt like home.

The Urban Beachcomber is a true gem! The location cannot be beat! In moments you are at a beautiful beach on Lake Superior and you can see the Lake from the deck too! The house is very clean and comfortable. The hosts provide everything you need for a comfortable stay and many thoughtful touches to make your stay even more wonderful!
Matt is a great communicator who made the whole process easy and comfortable. My family had an amazing stay at the Urban Beachcomber and everyone who visited us there marveled at the location and house and wished they were staying there. This is the best VRBO we have every stayed at and we can't wait to return in the future!

Great home in a awesome location!
Matt's house was perfect for our family vacation. We were steps away from the beach and bike path. Lower Harbor and downtown shops were just a short walk or bike ride into town. Matt was great to communicate with and the house was very well stocked for our stay; which was a major bonus!

ANAZING location!
If you are into biking, hiking, walking, kayaking, going to the beach, or eating really good food, you cannot get a better location than this! The bike/walk path is a block from the house, and so is the beach. All of the great downtown MQT restaurants are just a short walk/bike/drive away. There was even a bike store a block away, in case your bike has problems, and a little local food mart. Matt was super easy to contact, quick to respond, and the house was immaculate! There was plenty of space for two families to have our family meals and games together, and also room to spread out for some more quiet time. And, our kids loved their "secret" kids space upstairs! We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was very clean, the location is amazing, and the owner had the house fully stocked with items to anticipate any needs during our stay. Awesome spot!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the UB! Matt was so thoughtful and had champgane in the fridge for us for our anniversary! Communication was wonderful and the house was so clean! It had everything we needed for our stay! The location is in a great spot to town and had some views of Lake Superior from the deck and windows. We will absolutely be sure to check the UB schedule for our next trip to Marquette! Thanks again, Matt!

Best of all, the beach house is within walking distance of Third Street nightlife as well as the graduation ceremony at the Superior Dome.
