WELCOME TO ISLAND VIEW AT SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE

Justo al lado del lago principal y protegido de tráfico intenso barco se puede nadar, kayak, tubos, esquí o simplemente relajarse y flotar alrededor mientras disfruta de algunas de las mejores vistas del lago.
Cuenta con 4 dormitorios y 3 baños con pisos de tablones de ancho en la gran sala, cocina y comedor. La gran sala tiene un hermoso techo lofted tablón de madera y vistas infinitas de agua. Hay chimenea de gas de piedra y una gran pantalla plana de televisión todo abierto a una cocina totalmente equipada con asientos de bar taburete en la península. También hay una zona de comedor para reuniones familiares o para sentarse y jugar a las cartas o juegos.
El nivel principal ofrece una impresionante suite principal junto al lago con terraza al aire libre y asientos, una cama de matrimonio, gran televisor de pantalla plana y un baño principal con un pie en la ducha y bañera separada.
La segunda habitación justo al lado de la gran sala en la planta principal tiene una cama de matrimonio y baño completo.
La cocina abierta, gran sala y comedor tienen fácil acceso a una enorme terraza al aire libre para tomar el sol, observación de la puesta del sol o simplemente pasar el tiempo.
La parrilla de gas al aire libre está conectado a nuestra línea principal, de modo que nunca se quede sin combustible. Barbacoa y disfrutar de una comida bajo el porche cubierto mientras se mira en vistas de la Isla Esmeralda o el parque de estado.
Una segunda gran sala se encuentra en el nivel inferior con una chimenea de gas de piedra, un gran televisor de pantalla plana alta DEF, una mesa de juego y vistas increíbles desde casi todas las habitaciones.

We completely enjoyed our time at this rental. We've been coming to Smith Mountain Lake every summer for several years, so we have a pretty well-honed checklist of what we're looking for now: open but cozy living area, big kitchen for group cooking, deck with both sunshine and cover, a dock that's easy to use for boating and swimming, and a firepit for evening cookouts.
This house has all that and more. We were impressed with not just one but two comfortable living areas, one on the first floor and one in the basement, that made for fun gatherings the whole week. The kitchen's large counterspace, refrigerator, and pantry made every meal go smoothly. The deck space was perfect for morning coffee or sunset sitting. Lastly - and this is something that can't be overstated - it is a smooth incline down to the dock, compared to lots of lake properties that have extreme slopes and dicey stairs.
We loved this property and would love to rent it again if available!

This was our first time at this house everything was fantastic! The house is clean, has a great layout, and fantastic views of the lake. We had a blast all week and are already talking about renting here again next summer. Mark is a great host, very responsive and helpful with answering any questions.

This is the third time we have stayed in this property and I would not stay anywhere else.
It has everything you could want. The large open living dining area with lots of glass is a wonderful space with high airy ceilings.
The gentle paved walking path to boat house is perfect for very young children or seniors.
The secluded spot is a decent distance from neighbors which provides for an idea spot to fish kayak or just play in the water.

We stayed for a week at the Mark’s lake house and it exceeded all expectations. The house has a great layout. It has all of the amenities you would want and is well stocked. Great sunset views, and a wonderful Cove that you can swim in without worry of watercraft being close. The dock is awesome and has enough depth to dive off of. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and were able to tie it up easily on the floating dock. Overall, great week, awesome location on the lake. That’s convenient to everything.

This property is immaculate, with modern, high-end appliances and furnishings. The living spaces and outdoor spaces are very roomy and comfortable. The level lot is a big plus.
The cove is small and quiet, and set well back from the main channel so you don't get much boat traffic. The cove to the right adjoins the State Park so there are no houses over on that side. You definitely feel safe paddling around here.

Great get-away
This property is more beautiful than the pictures. It is in a great little cove with good water and access to the main lake quickly. The views are spectacular! The house is immaculately clean and the owners have thought of everything. We had a great time boating, fishing, eating on the covered porch and sitting on the deck and enjoying the view!

Exceptional rental property
We have rented dozens of high end homes around the world. This was one of the nicest in every regard. The home was impeccably clean and well stocked in every category. The furnishings, views, location and spaciousness all resulted in a wonderful family vacation. And the dock and kayaks were a great bonus. My wife and I swam every day in the lake, and the cove on which the home sits was perfect for long swims; and the very nearby state park was wonderful for hiking. As nice as the pictures are, they do not do the home justice. Being there made us all feel relaxed and well. We recommended this property very highly.

Beautiful SML property!

Beautiful house with gorgeous views
We have rented vacation property for 20 years and this was the nicest house of all. It was beautifully situated with great views of the lake and sunset. A gradual sloped path to the boat dock was an easy walk for our 2 year old. grandson The owner has provided a lot of stuff including two kayaks which were a lot of fun. The house was spotless with very comfortable beds and furniture and a well organized and very clean modern kitchen.

Home Away from Home
I have been renting at Smith Mountain Lake for the last 7 years and this home was by far the most impressive. The location is tucked away on the lake yet has beautiful views of the lake. The house was very spacious, open and accommodating. There was a very modern look of the home with clean lines and open views of the lake from every room and bedroom facing the lake. I was thoroughly impressed with the house and the dock. The owner has done a great job of making the house very homely with a very modern look. All new appliances in a spacious kitchen. The owner himself is very customer focused and works to ensure that customers are comfortable and needs, if any, are addressed timely. Our family had a wonderful time at this home.

Fantastic House
This is a beautiful house on an amazing piece of property. The pictures actually don’t do the house justice. The home and furnishings are all top notch. The setting on the lake could not be any more perfect. You are on nice secluded part of the lake near the state park. The dock worked perfectly for my boat and the owner provided kayaks which was very enjoyable for my whole family. The owner was easy to deal with and went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. I would highly recommend staying at this property. A big thank you to the owner.

This house has the perfect location (so close to a marina yet quite and peaceful), perfect view, and very thoughtful decoration & amenities. We had a great time. The owner is very responsive to emails and text messages, the home is well stocked with convenience for guests in mind.

Wonderful property!
We have been coming to the lake for over 30+ years. My parents retired here 25 years ago but to have more family there together we rent a house every year. We have been doing that for the last 5 years. Union Hall is an absolutely lovely home with gorgeous views of the state park, wide water and sunsets. The attention to detail to ensure our comfort was tremendous and much appreciated. We will definitely be back!

Best View on the Lake
My family and I had a smashing time at SML. This house is fabulous with a great view of the lake and mountains. Everything is new and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The use of two Kayaks and the fire pit are such a nice touch. Does not get any better than this!

Beautiful property, unreasonable owner
The home itself is beautiful in a great location on the lake (we have stayed on all parts of the lake and have been vacationing there for 10+ years). We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and everything the house had to offer, despite the fact that some things are incomplete (the dock is clearly still a work in progress). Those positives and our great week were quickly ruined by the owner who claimed that his cleaning team found damage the day we left, which he communicated via text. I immediately asked for more details and assured him that I wanted to work through any issues if there truly was damage. The owner sent me one picture via text that he admitted did not show the damage but promised he would get more photos and send them to me once received. Instead, a day later, he claimed the damage deposit and sent me a very rude text about how the damage while still admitting that he didn't have a quote to repair the supposed damage or additional photos to even show us the damage. It's clear he has put a lot of money into the renovations on the home and is now trying to get very penny from renters to offset his investment, even making up false claims to collect a deposit. There are homes that are just as nice in this part of the lake with far more reasonable and ethical owners.

Absolutely perfect!!!
We have been coming to Smith mountain lake since the mid 70's !! This house is by far the most beautiful. The attention to detail at this property was impeccable. The mattresses, bedding and all living areas are not only top notch but so comfortable. The outdoor area well where do I begin to explain this perfect. The porches up and down were housed with comfortable furniture whether you wanted to sit back and lounge or chill in a rocking chair or around the table to play a family game or have your dinner admiring the lake. The dock had a table and chairs to enjoy a meal. Also lots of other lounge chairs that rock. Kayaks and a firepit were also part of thid wonderful package ! The owner was amazing to work with and wants nothing but a perfect vacation for your family!! We see this home being a tradition with our family for years to come!!!
