This is our third time staying at this Smith Lake house. It's a wonderful retreat with enough space for my extended family to gather. We love the peacefulness of the location, the screened porch, and the game room. This house has everything we need, and we look forward to going back next year.

First family vacation we have planned. This property was great. It is not in the middle of the lake where all the boat traffic was, which was great for us. Not a far boat ride to the cliffs. We had an amazing trip. We will definitely be staying here again!

This is our second time staying at time out of mind and will not be the last! We fall in love with the lake and location more and more! There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 7 kids. Dish’s and cookware are plentiful two refrigerators a commercial ice maker in the basement was a great addition to avoid trips in and out of town. The owners were quick with suggestions when we had to pull our boat out of the water for a repair (I hope this doesn’t happen to you but if it does I HIGHLY recommend Vinson Marine) the only problem we had was that our stay came to an end and we had to come back to reality! I wish I could give the location 10 stars!

Time Out of Mind is very remote; and once off the main road, it’s very rough with potholes. BUT you arrive at a house that sits on the bank of the MOST picturesque little creek you could ever imagine. Even in winter we enjoyed the kayaks. Restaurants are few and far between, so be prepared; and you’ll probably want to bring your own favorite cookware. Also, bring your favorite family games, and you can truly put “time out of mind”.

Lovely property with awesome dock, great game room, beautiful landscaping, big deck and screened in porch. This house has everything you need. We roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, swam, boated, and played games. The owner is so accommodating and responsive. He helped us with all our requests. We’ll definitely rent this house again!

The place is nice . It could definitely need a good cleaning . The price ia reasonable amd it has a pool table! The views are nice from balcony. The dock and water are nice. We had a great time and the owners were very easy with. We had no problems. We loved the pool table and the lake!

Our group rents on smith lake all the time and this house is my favorite for many reasons! Great location- less traffic on the water, beautiful around the house and not a bad walk to the water. House itself- fully stocked linens closet that accommodates extras and makes you comfortable, all bedrooms were wonderful, 2 full kitchens, screened in porch!!! Stocked kitchen, air conditioning for each floor that worked perfectly, huge dining table that we were used nightly, pool table, beautiful view. Owners- super easy to deal with. We will def be back to this one!!! Bonus-Plus, we rented jet skis & pontoon from Bum Jett Ski Rentals- they delivered to nearest boat ramp which was in our neighborhood!

This property is a quiet, beautiful place to meet with your friends and family for a peaceful vacation. The beds are comfortable, the views are spectacular and the house is perfect. The kitchen comes with everything you need to cook all your delicious meals.

We had a very nice stay. Weather could have been better but it's a short walk to the dock so we enjoyed what we could. The area is very remote which was nice for swimming and floating around. There are some areas too that you can dock a boat or kayak and get out to explore. The house was great. Perfect size for all of us. The out door speakers really came in handy for football days and playing on the dock.

This lake house was perfect for meeting our family/cousins for Labor Day weekend. The cousin kids loved sleeping in the bunk room. The dock and swimming area was perfect for floating. We rented a pontoon boat and had a blast exploring this unique lake.
The house has everything any large group would need. The owner was very responsive to our questions and accommodating. We will definitely rent here again! Loved the screen porch and the game room.

We enjoyed our stay at Time Out of Mind! House is as described. Everything you need is included. We shuttled 32 folks in and out over a week. 1st had a birthday party, then the girls high school basketball team stayed a few days for their 2nd annual End of Summer Trip, then another side of the family came in.
When we had the 14 girls there- we had more than plenty of room!
This house has the biggest/best washer dryer ever! Every few days I was washing bedding before a new group came in… it held several sets of sheets at a time!
Having an oven downstairs and upstairs helped when cooking for large groups!
A few negatives I can say, was driving in on a gravel road getting the boat dirty…but, most homes around the lake are on gravel roads. Last negative was being far out from marinas- it’s a 30 minute boat ride to either Lakeshore or Duncan Bridge…
But, a small price to pay for a great trip!

Multi Generation Family Vacation
The house was all and more than we expected. Plenty of room for all 13 of us to comfortably sleep, cook and bathroom space. The dock and swimming area were fantastic, great place to moor the boat. Pool table and game room on the lower level gave the kids plenty of things to do, never a boring moment!! A great screened in porch for the adults to relax after the young ones were down for the night!!

We loved our stay at this property. It is a great property and the layout is amazing. We had plenty of room and everyone enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is amazing and has anything you could possibly need. The downstairs kitchen had everything also. We would definitely return here again and the owners were so friendly and accommodating answering our questions before we arrived. I can highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to rent……large or small group……because you will be happy with your accommodations and what all is offered inside and outside. Property is older but in good condition. Great location near Arley stores and secluded on upper Brushey Creek. Owner was great to work with, and everything was in good order. Only issue was with the potholes on the road leading into the neighborhood.

Such a great place for family to gather and relax.
The house is well supplied with all linens and kitchen needs. Two kitchens is great for a large family! The lake is in a quieter area and the dock area is fun for the kids and adults. Great place to get away and relax! Owner is very helpful and responsive to any questions.

Our group of 15 all had beds and did not feel crowded at all. Very spacious dock and located on a beautiful calm cove on the lake. The whole group enjoyed every aspect of the week. We will rent this property again!

Loved our time on Smith Lake. Erik was very responsive to the couple minor issues we had and the property as a whole was exactly as advertised. We had plenty of room for our group of 15 and the location on the lake was quiet and secluded! Highly recommend.

Great house for large family or a couple friends
Owner was nice and helpful. House was great and the lake was quiet and peaceful. The house was in upper smaller channel with not much boat traffic. House is in a great neighborhood with nice neighbors. Only wish the county would keep up the public road. Neighbor hood road was in good shape but county road was terrible. We will look at this house next trip to smith lake.

You can not find a better location and setting for a relaxing get away. The neighborhood is remote and supremely quite, perfect for enjoying nature and escaping the busy world. Our group had a blast! Full Pros/Cons list below! Pros: -Neighborhood -Perfect lake setting-Comfortable beds and linens -Strong wifi. It must have been updated since the listing description because we had 10+ devices connected and had no problem streaming-Multiple living spaces with plenty of TVs-Large kitchen/dining area-Nice neighbors -Spacious bedrooms -Owner is great to communicate withCons: -Grimy. The really important stuff (showers, sheets, toilets, etc.) were super clean but everything else is only what I can describe as grimy. It's in need of a deep cleaning. We were a church group of mostly teens so it didn't bother us too much. -There were no trash bags and only 1 roll (or 1/2 roll) of TP in the bathrooms. Plan to bring your own-Sulfur smell in the water. This was at most a minor inconvenience, but it is something to note. Overall, I would stay here again for the same type trip we did and feel that the pros far outweighed the cons.

Christmas On The Lake
We had an amazing Christmas in this home. There was plenty of room with everything we needed. This was like our home away from home. The view of the lake was really nice on Christmas morning. I have to say that the owners were very helpful and nice.

Beautiful lake, peaceful area.
Our family enjoyed the lake house very much. Smith Lake is beautiful and peaceful. We rented a pontoon boat at Evans Marina. There are no grocery stores close by, but there is a Dollar General about 10 minutes away that had some basics. Owner communication was good.

Beautiful home on the lake
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Time out of Mind.". The house is beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. The view from the back deck and pier are beautiful. It was fun to fish from the pier. Communication with the owner was prompt and he was very courteous.
