We had an awesome time. Our first family vacation as a family. We made memories and we got to see the turtles hatched. We met some locals who were turtle volunteers and explained things about the turtles. The house had everything we needed and more. We seen awesome sun rises and dolphins daily from the porch. Can’t wait to book again. Thanks for having us!!

The property was as advertised. Super easy beach access and convenient walking distance to the island's retail establishments. Great views of the rising and settling suns. Bonus was the reflection of the full moon on the gulf. Way cool! Momma turtle loved it too. She laid her eggs out back on our first night. Also way cool! Can't go wrong with this property.

We had a wonderful vacation here. The beach front location was perfect! I loved having a gorgeous view from every room facing the beach. There was a rainy day with rough surf, and I loved seeing the “angry” ocean from a comfortable, warm location. Beds and bedding was nice; I slept well the whole week.

OPH is the perfect beach house. We spent countless hours sitting on the porch watching the schools of dolphins swim buy. Sunrises are nothing short of spectacular. Beach lovers step off the private boardwalk right onto the dunes/beach. Owner was very easy to work with. The house is clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Be sure to wear bug repellent when going to the beach or outside at night. No see ums are brutal.

We have stayed at several places in SGI and this was by far the best. The view of the ocean from the bed was the perfect way to wake up each morning. This house has been rented by it’s amazing owners for a long time and it shows in all the details. All things are well labeled, instructions are clear, the kitchen is huge and well-stocked with any cooking utensil needed. I appreciated the plantings around the house and how the palms on either side of the porch provided extra privacy when sitting and watching the waves. The house was very clean and the furniture immaculate. It had none of the yuck factor that unfortunately is common in rentals. Jim was also very responsive and helpful with any questions.
The location is perfect. Quiet but within very easy walking distance of the lighthouse, shopping and restaurants. We had a lovely vacation - mostly in the state park - walking to the eastern point and collecting shells and a lot of sand dollars. SGI is an amazing place to vacation and I would definitely rent this house again on future trips.

This property is just a few blocks east of the lighthouse and within easy walking distance to the Blue Parrot. The house has an overall vibe of an old family friend with lots of nautical themed objects decorating the place, guest books filled with warm accounts of family vacations and original artwork by a member of the host’s family. The 4 bedrooms are just as pictured. The spacious den has plenty of comfortable seating and a wall to wall view of the gulf. The kitchen is equipped with everything I needed to pull off meals for us and our guests for 7 nights. The covered porch facing the gulf was excellent for watching dolphins in the mornings and evening skies. Jim, our host, was prompt in answering all my questions and resolving one small hiccup. Do bring or rent beach chairs and some form of shade and do bring beach towels. Overall this was an excellent experience and I am already looking forward to a return visit to SGI!

The location of this house is perfect. Walking distance to many places but we rented a golf cart for the week and could get to all the main shopping/dining places without having to drive a car. The beach view is perfect. We saw so many dolphins and spent every day on the beach!

We love Jim‘s property, one particular Harbour. We have been there several times as a family. It was my late husband‘s favorite place on the beach. I just celebrated my 65th birthday while there and my recent retirement. I couldn’t think of a better place to have spent it that at one particular Harbour.

The house is in a great location. The covered porch is a great place to relax and watch the gulf. We saw an osprey catch fish and a water spout drop from a thunderstorm. The beach is always seconds away. The house is close to the center of the island where most businesses and restaurants are located.

We loved our stay at this property! It was exactly as advertised and reviewed. Being located right on the beach, the views were incredible, and the convenience was a wonderful change for us. We loved just waking up, getting our coffee, sitting on the porch and watching the day begin. Loved being right on the beach and not having to carry our beach items or fighting for space on the beach. The quiet, easy going atmosphere of the area will definitely bring us back! Thanks Jim!

We have stayed at multiple properties on the island and this was one of the best! The layout of the house was great. Our family only used the main floor rooms so I cannot speak to the comfort of the ground floor bedroom, but the ranch style of the main floor was perfect for us. The beach was steps away, and we really enjoyed the covered porch and view of the ocean. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and the furniture was comfortable. The host, Jim, was easy to reach when we had questions and was very helpful. All in all we had a great stay and hope to be back soon!

We stay for a week at a time. Three visits in the last 2 years. This property offers wonderful, direct beach access. It is located about 3/4 mile from local restaurants. We stay on Island but enjoy Apalachicola too. My happy place.

Just returned from our first stay at One Particular Harbor and absolutely loved it. Our college sophomore daughter met us on Saturday with 3 friends for a short Fall Break. They had to leave Tuesday afternoon for classes Wednesday. It was so wonderful to spend time with her and her friends! I should have known how much I would being named after one of my favorite Buffet songs, but it continued to grow on us as the week went on. Have stayed at numerous beachfront houses, but this one has the best views. Deck railings had cables for all but the top rail and floor to ceiling windows all across back were fantastic! We sat on the deck looking out and listening to Oyster Radio morning to night. House is very well equipped and communication was great. Also loved owners’ original artwork. Will definitely be back.

Close quarters
We were going to have 3 adult couples but plans changed. The house is cozy and great for maybe 2 couples but the bedrooms are extremely close together and you would easily hear each other
talking or snoring. I would rent again but only for the two of us.

SGI Getaway
My husband and I enjoyed our 4 week stay at One Particular Harbor. The house is older and although it could use a little TLC and a few updates, it is comfortable and welcoming and has unbeatable views and location. The porch is an excellent spot for dolphin watching, enjoying morning coffee, or sipping a glass of wine at sunset. The house has everything you need to cook if you are so inclined and is within walking distance to local restaurants or a short drive to Apalachicola for more selection. We enjoyed riding bikes around the island and the bike trails were never crowded. Jim was easy to contact and helpful when needed. We hope to return!

Wonderful View
We had a wonderful week at One Particular Harbor! It is obviously an older home that is very clean and well kept with the best views from the porch. You can hear the ocean while sleeping at night. The porch was our favorite place. We saw every sunrise and sunset from there and ate many of our meals on the porch enjoying the view. The bed was very comfortable. The house was well stocked. It even had soap and toilet paper. Most places we’ve stayed did not provide these. Location was optimal! It’s near the grocery store and restaurants but far enough away for beach not to be crowded. Wonderful week! Would recommend this house!

Relaxing getaway
The entire family had a great time at One Particular Harbor. The panoramic view of the ocean was stunning! The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit whether relaxing in the living room or eating meals. The house is comfortably furnished.

Comfortable and peaceful
Very comfortable property. Not fancy, but very homey. Beautiful original artwork. You can tell this house is much-loved, in a good way. Loved the large kitchen island for eating AND playing cards, dominos, board games. Beautiful beach right outside the door.
Would recommend that the 4th bedroom on the ground floor is much better suited to responsible teens than adults.

A great experience
The description of this property is 100% accurate. I don't know how much more I can say. We were there the last full week in August and the beach was pretty much empty, which is normal. This property is a very easy walk to the lighthouse and shops. The only issue I ran into were mosquitos when I took an early morning walk. So beware. We never had an issue with them on the beach or even at the house on the deck. You won't go wrong with this place.

My family and I stayed at this property for our week-long vacation and we had an amazing time! The house is located right on the beach and the views from the deck are beautiful. Great location and beautiful views
This house has a stunning view of the beach from the living area and covered patio. It is well equipped with kitchen items and a few basic pantry staples (seasonings). It was comfortably sized for our family of 4. We enjoyed sitting on the covered deck watching the dolphins. The Indoor sound system was easy to operate and many beach appropriate CDs were available. There were some buckets, umbrellas and boogie boards for the beach. The beach was not crowded at all and almost felt private at times. We rented bikes and rode around to get ice cream, visit the lighthouse, shop and just explore. This is a great beach house in a great location.
