My family of six enjoyed staying here very much. There was lots of space, a fully stocked kitchen, and very easy access to the beach via the private boardwalk. We cooked every meal here without needing to eat out, which is also a plus with small children. This is also a great location for children as they can spread out on the beach without having to worry about a crowded beachfront. Also because this beach is bayside on the island, the waters are calmer than on the gulf side. We saw lots of different wildlife while out at the beach too, including dolphins, something you don’t get at busier beaches. The rental was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the shade of the gazebo by the beach and the hammocks. It was also nice being able to go back and forth from the beach to the rental so easily, especially with an infant who needed frequent breaks. We would gladly stay here again.

We had nine people in this house for a week. It was roomy and relaxing. There were several extra touches that made it perfect for us, such as the seating area under the house, the kayaks, the hammocks, the outdoor shower, the large kitchen, and the wrap around deck. We loved our stay!

We had a girls trip to celebrate my 92nd birthday. The house was great, spectacular view. All amenities we could ask for. The kitchen faucet would benefit from an aerator since it makes quite a splash. One thing would have made it better: a dumb waiter to help haul up gear.
As a whole it was delightful for all of us.

This house met everything we needed and were looking for. It was clean, and updated. Only negative I could say was we needed more trash bags but that’s it.

The home was spotless and had a very well stocked kitchen. I always travel with pots and pans that I use and it was unnecessary here. The wooden run to the gazebo made it very convenient for transporting ice chests, beach items, etc.. The beach was perfect, nearly private. My family will return to this home in the future!

My family of 7 stayed in this beautiful, well equipped house for a week. Watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets, fished from the shore and floated in the water. Maintenance issues were addressed quickly. Sitting on the deck in the breeze was wonderful as there is usually a breeze coming from the gulf or the sound side. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Dauphin island!

Lovely home great location. What an amazing collection the pillows. Slightly disappointed with performance of washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Heads up, one kayak leaks. We really appreciated the two kayaks. Please replace handle on the foot washer. Really love the design of the foot washer. Just wish it was not Rusty and sharp. Two of the six people using it got cut. Overall had a really delightful stay. Would rent again.

The house was amazing it has everything you need from cookware to towels. The issue is with the cleanliness, it looks clean but the towels smelled like a wet dog makeup on the sheets chip bags under the bed stickers left on the trim above the glass doors pots n pans had stains & burnt leftovers on them. Someone needs to check behind house cleaning to see what they’re actually doing.

Our family enjoyed the island and the beach. The pictures of the home are definitely outdated as there is a newly built homes and construction on each side now. We ran into some issues with the cleanliness of home. Moldy washing machine which cannot be used, half of deck is falling off home and sagging floors in the home also. We very much enjoyed the outside of this home and hope it will get some much needed cleaning and updates before next guest!

The layout is perfect for our annual family beach getaway! The beach access right out the back is great as well as the large table for family dinners and game nights. This is a wonderful house and we have stayed here several times.

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful beachside property. Every year they improve the enmities and upgrade the fixtures. Like this year, the deck that surrounds the entire building now has latched gates added. This was great for our dogs. You cannot beat the location. A must stay in Dauphin Island. We’ll be back next year.

The house was very clean. They had hammocks and Kayaks. You need the password to use the Kayaks. You should ask them the password. It was fun. We wish we could stay again. However, the beach has some rocks in the water which can cause serious injuries, so I would advise you to watch out.

Set Sail was exactly what we were hoping for! The location was ideal for us - quiet but “just down the street” from anything we needed. We especially loved using the kayaks, the gazebo hammocks, and just enjoying the views from the wrap-around deck. This property is in the perfect location! We enjoyed our own beach, kayaks, hammocks and the serenity that is the island. The house is bueatiful and laid out perfectly. The wrap around deck that is gated our German Shepherd enjoyed as she could play and watch the birds or passerby. Loved the outdoor living area that was out of the elements to enjoy cooking meals and relaxing as well. We loved it so much we extended our stay an extra day. Teresa with Vacasa was more then easent and helpful when needed as well. Thank you for a wonderful holiday away!

The kids had such a great time fishing and on the beach the didn’t want to leave. We packed light knowing beach towels were there and brought extra detergent to just wash clothes at the end of the day! Every local person we met was super kind and you could see the pride they have for the island.
They were moving sand from Ida right in front of the house but that was no big deal. Our boys enjoyed watching all the heavy equipment work.
