Communication with Diane was smooth and friendly. The house is beautiful, very clean, well-equipped and spacious for 3 adults and 3 kids plus 2 dogs. You can hear the crashing of the waves at the property. The beach is a very short walk from the house. The patio is great. The beds are very comfortable. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the stay!

I was worried that our family would be somewhat crowded in the house but it was truly spacious and lovely with lots of places to be. My only disappears there lacked a real ocean view. But you could hear it outside and that was wonderful!

An aim for me as a dad since our girls were little was to go places to have "happy family memories". This is what our week away with our now adult daughters and one spouse was.
Two of our girls were born in Lincoln City so it is a special place in our hearts. The house itself was perfect for our family because it felt like home right away. It was spacious enough so that each person could have their own refuge if needed yet the open space to enjoy board games together or watch a movie or two.
We had at least two visits to the beach each day - because the beach access is just a very brief walk away. I personally enjoyed doing some work and reading on the deck which was protected from the strong winds of the beach.
The kitchen is wonderfully equipped with pots and utensils that are much nicer than what we own. There is an abundance of plates and glasses. We did not use the grill because it is a charcoal grill not gas and we are not familiar enough with how to cook with charcoal. It is a nice resource for those who know how to use it.
There are lots of kites which we didn't use but with the winds we had they would have soared.
Overall - it is was an absolutely fantastic place to stay for our family. Homey, comfortable, close to the beach, fully supplied, tremendous and thorough contact with Ted and Diane. Happy family memories were made!

The home is amazing. It is perfect in all ways. Great neighborhood, quiet location, easy walk to the best beach without the crowds. It is cozy and incredibly clean. Also has everything you need to feel at home. The owners are excellent with communication. The worst part of the stay was having to depart! Thank you Swensons for sharing your home!

This is a great house for a stay at the beach. I walked on the beach in the morning. It was so peaceful. The views from the house are awesome. I would definitely stay here again, but next time I would remember to bring soap and shampoo for the shower.

I had high expectations from the great reviews, and this place lived up to them. We had a great holiday (there for Thanksgiving). As someone who is very sensitive to fragrance, this house was excellent - no chemical fragrance and sheets/towels had been washed with free & clear detergent, so I had no problems. If I need a place in this location again, I'll definintely check for this house. I didn't need to contact the owner during the stay. The check-in info was thorough and answered all my questions.

The host is very responsive and helpful. The home has everything, it was honestly more than we needed but had all the amenities a young family would need to feel able to de-stress from city living. A short 20 minute walk you can find really good fish and chips, a brewery with great pizza as well as some of the best Cold Brew I have ever had. I definitely see us staying at this space again in the future with an expanding familiy. Thank you!

This place is amazing! Not only was everything we needed provided inside the home, but the ocean view, almost private beach in a quiet neighborhood and agate beach hunting was practically right outside our door. The home was cozy, very clean and thought out, and the owners were excellent and caring in their communication with us. If we are ever in this area again we will come again, but plan ahead because it books up quickly (understandable so). We highly recommend this place as your next vacation place.

This was the perfect place for us to stay with our little dog. The house was exactly as the pictures showed, the kitchen was very nice and had everything we needed. We loved the location, the neighborhood is one of our favorites. It’s very quiet and friendly. We would love to stay again.

Our stay was amazing. It was wonderful to see the beach from the home. We brought two dogs with us and had little issue aside from the fact a neighbor had dogs who barked a LOT at them. I 100% recommend this place for a future stay!

This home is located in in a convenient location with close access to stores, restaurants, the beach and a partial view of the ocean waves with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Diane and Ted have done a fantastic job with home layout with a fully stocked kitchen, cozy furniture layout, comfortable beds and an enjoyable deck to view the ocean and relax. We were pleased with the attention to cleanliness of everything. Communication with Diane was superb with great updates on our stay. We certainly look forward to a future stay. Accurate description of house - feels homey, but fresh and updates in baths and kitchen are on point. The kitchen is small, but very well laid out and appointed. No kids with us, but the upstairs would have been a great way to get them their own space. We didn’t eat in the neighborhood, but it was fun that their were options within walking distance. The neighborhood is peaceful and pretty.

This is quite a jewel of a property. A classic beach house; well kept, nicely decorated and a short walk round the corner to the beach. The area is very central to various coastal day trips you may take. I don't normally mention, but this is one of the few properties that had unscented linens, which may seem like a small thing to mention. But as frequent VRBO guests, we find one does not want to be overwhelmed with various floral detergents and fabric softners, cleaners that the cleaning staff might use. We will be back.

This beautiful modern beach house had the perfect footprint for two little families. We spent our time cooking, enjoying the view from the picture windows, and walking to the beach. Upstairs, our kids had their own slumber party kingdom with gameroom. We couldn’t have had a better getaway!

Excellent property. Quiet and nice neighborhood off the beaten path yet close enough to the coastal tourism fun. Also a couple of really notable eating, recreating and shopping destinies to discover within short walking distance.
Lovely location with ample, tasteful amenities, kind hosts, very clean quarters and an easy feel. We really had a happy time on our long-awaited vacation.

This is the second time we have stayed at this rental and we love everything about it.
As a mom, my favorite aspect is the loft upstairs. We have three teenagers and they appreciate having their own space to sleep and relax but because part of the loft is open to the living room, it still feels like we’re together.
My second favorite thing is the proximity to the beach! A simple 5 minute walk and you’re at a lovely welcoming beach.
My third favorite thing about this house is the array of floor to ceiling windows in the kitchen, living room and master bedroom.
We also enjoyed the fireplace, the convenient washer and dryer, two full bathrooms and well-appointed kitchen. Also- there is a primo collection of books that I always find so interesting! I love that Oregon Geographic Names book especially. I was looking forward to seeing it again on this trip!
This is the kind of vacation spot you want to keep under your hat because you don’t want it to be too difficult to book but that’s not in my nature and I have already sent the link to three of my friends.
I’m sure we’ll be back before too long!

Our experience with these owners and this property was the best I've ever had using VRBO. They were willing to work with us on our request to bring my parent's dogs, the house was very clean and organized. The owners went out of their way to stock the house with amenities, activities, kitchenware, beach stuff etc. Anything you may have forgot to pack, they have it there for you. They really go above and beyond to make sure the house is like your own for your stay. 10/10 would stay here again,

What a wonderful place. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, and easy access to beach. There are not doors on the loft areas which wasn’t an issue for our group but doesn’t offer a lot of privacy. We hope to enjoy the property again another time. The owners were wonderful with communication and expressing the expectations of our stay. Thanks for a fantastic getaway!

a pleasant paradise
We appreciated all the thoughtfulness put into this place---everything you might need was there! Neighborhood was mostly quiet--a little barking from a neighbor dog, but didn't go on long! And the location was very nice--ten minutes from Lincoln City, and less than that to Depoe Bay! Plenty of space, and beds, but isn't the room sizes showing online--not complaining, just stating a fact. Very comfortable for four of us, but there's lots more bed space available if more people came along! Pleasant surroundings--quiet and green.

LOCATION + COMFORT + FAMILY = AWESOME EXPERIENCE
My family and I headed to the coast for a much-needed getaway and could not have been graced with a better place to stay. The Swensons' home was more than we could have hoped for. The location was unbeatable, just a quick walk (less than a minute) to the beach, a stone's throw from a great restaurant (The Side Door Cafe), and not too far from shops in Lincoln City and Depoe Bay. The property offered all the comforts of home, truly! We found that everything we could ever need was there. Unless you have a very particular culinary or other need, you can practically leave all cooking supplies, etc. at home, because the Swensons' home has it. And the home itself was extremely cozy, clean, and well appointed. Just such an overall great time, so great that the three nights we stayed just flew by and we were sad to leave. We would definitely be interested in coming back again.

Better than the photos
You can't really tell from the photos, but it is a single family home on its own lot. Big deck. beautiful living room with soaring loft. Dining table seats 5, but lots more beds than that. Garage is open, so lots of space to dry off your gear after the beach. Beach entrance is 1 block from house and you have a partial ocean view from living room, loft, and deck. Well maintained and updated.

Wonderful spot to relax and listen to the ocean. Can't hear much I'd any road traffic, lots to do within 20 miles in either direction. Great place to stay with dogs!
