Spacious Townhome With Private Hot Tub!

The property is nice and spacious. Everything worked fine, except A/C. The kitchen was great and well stocked. We had a leaky bathroom and it was fixed the next day, so maintenance was great. Love the location and area!

Former reviews are correct. The property could use some serious renovations. Wallpaper is peeling, carpets are stained. Some cabinet doors are falling apart. Kitchen needs a new refrigerator. The thermostat was quite tricky to maneuver. While repairs would be great, none would prevent me from renting here again. However, other issues would. Read below.
PROS:
The best thing about the property is its location. Only a short walk to ski lifts. That was very convenient.
We also enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of skiing.
The basement space was nice for the younger adults to hang out. And the kitchen was well equipped.
CONS:
Upon entering the property, we noticed the cleaning crew left cleaning items laying around and we found a full load of dirty towels and sheets on basement floor. It was as if they hadn't finished prepping the space for our arrival.
We had a leak in kitchen sink one afternoon, making it impossible for us to use it. We called maintenance and reported it but no one came to fix it. We waited all afternoon with no response or call, so we finally had to do it ourselves. Luckily someone in our party was able to repair it and we could use the sink once again. It's a little much to expect guests to make repairs though.
One afternoon a maintenance person entered the property using the garage code without any warning that he would be coming by. I was surprised to suddenly find a strange man in the hall. I would expect a heads-up or at least a knock at the front door before a stranger barges in.
Owners keep a small refrigerator in basement full of beer with a note stating guests are not to touch. We had several minors in our group and I didn't appreciate having to keep track of the beer or safeguard it for the owners. For the prices we're being charged, I'd expect full use of the property. Owners can either buy beer upon arrival or lock it up so guests don't have to be concerned with it.
Overall, I would give the property a 3.5 rating.

We absolutely loved our stay at this townhome! The kitchen was very well equipped, enough of everything to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for ten! There were plenty comfortable beds and bathrooms. The hot tub was the highlight! Skiing was within walking distance with optional shuttle and the ambiance of the neighborhood was charming! We will definitely be renting here again!
Note for Retreatia: One dish towel is not nearly enough for kitchen clean up after a large group eats. Also, a dishrag is a must, not just a small sponge. We ended up purchasing both in town.

The property and unit itself are great and the hot tub was perfect. However the oven and fridge are dated. The oven only works on broil and the fridge and freezer were at the bare minimum of cold respectively (took 2 days to freeze water, temp was on codest). Renteria was great in getting someone out, but I believe there's no easy fix for the issue. Also, the carpet was a concern prior to visiting due to previous reviews. And although it seemed vacuumed and things were clean, it needs to be replaced. Definitely gave the place an unclean feeling.

Retreatia was great. The property location was great. The shuttle service was great. The actual property could use some updates for the amount of money it rents for... I would definitely use Retreatia again and I would look for something in this location.

No air conditioning!!! We turned it on but could never get the place to cool down. Upstairs bedrooms were like saunas!! Had to keep doors and windows open all night to sleep.
Not a toddler (5 yrs and under) friendly place. Too many breakable nicknacks and sharp metal edges.
Parking was complicated. Instructions say one car in the garage and two in the driveway. But when you’re sharing a driveway with 4 other units you’re constantly playing musical cars with the neighbors. Neighbor finally let us know there was overflow parking across the street.

Our family, extended family, and friends enjoyed time together at the Dromore Chalet. People loved the intimate atmosphere and the ability to share meals at the Chalet. A friend asked abuout how to take advantage of this opportunity for his family.

The staff was great to work with!
We had 13 people at the Dromore and it accomodated everyone perfectly. I will certainly call Retreatia again - not so much becuase of this particular property (although it was great) but because the staff at Retreatia was amazing to work with. Every time I called, I got someone who was gracious and met every request with a positive smiling attitude. A rarity in todays hospitality world. Great JOB!

Wonderful place and so close the the skiing
The place was fantastic. Clean, Great amenities, Sleeps plenty of people, and we walked to the base of the mountain most of the time, or we rode the free shuttle.
We will be back to this place next year for sure.

Great place for skiing and fun.
We were there for the guys ski week, and this was one of the best played out places we have been there in Steamboat Springs. The staff at the rental company was awesome. Thanks Michael for doing such and excellent job.

Dromore Chalet
Awesome house! Lot's of clean comfortable beds, huge theatre TV in the rec room, and great hot tub out back! Would highly recommend this house, it's kept very clean and is fully outfitted. Every gadget I needed to cook was stocked in the kitchen.
Short walk to the gondola was great too.

Fantastic place. Enjoyed the private hot tub, full music throughout the house and tv entertainment options. Kids loved the downstairs while we enjoyed the upper level. Will be back again next year

Gorgeous Chalet with plenty of room for up to 10, hot tub, and video room. Very close to everything including the slopes but in case you need a ride the shuttle stops every 1/2 hour to hour.

Awesome Time!!
5 couples getaway ski trip. The place had loads of room and our own hot tub!! Which we enjoyed every day after skiing. Super close to the hill and if you didn't want to walk they have free shuttle pickup everyday outside your door.
The kitchen is super equipped with everything you need if you felt like cooking. But tons of great restaurants in the town which again a free shuttle will take you to. Love this place. Super chill and fun.

My wife, kids and I went for a little vacation and the accommodations couldn't have been better. With the Free Shuttle service everything was so easy to get to. We would recommend this place very highly. Spacious and very clean.

Awesome house!
We have stayed here several years in a row and love this condo. So much room and everything is always very clean. Kitchen is completely stocked with necessary items (dishes, cookware, etc). Basement is very spacious. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer so you can wash your clothes before packing for the trip home. This year there is also brand new leather furniture on the main level and the basement. Has a great deck with a grill and also a private hot tub! Awesome for relaxing after a full day of skiing! It is close enough to walk to the ski hill or you can catch the shuttle right at the end of the driveway which comes around every 10-15 minutes. Great location, love being able to walk over to the village to restaurants, etc.

Steamboat is a magical place and the Dromore Chalet was a great find. Lovely decor and plenty of space for both families. We loved the hot tub and the downstairs video room. We had a blast. Can't wait until next year

Great stay at Dromore Chalet in Steamboat!
We've been to Steamboat every year for 5 years, and we always use VRBO. Out of all the condos we've stayed in, this was my favorite. It wasn't as fancy or updated as some we've stayed in, but was clean, well maintained, and the layout was excellent. Here's what really pushed it over the top for us: Basement area with bunk room and media area for the kids was huge, awesome private hot tub on the deck, two car garage, and really large mud room for ski gear. The only thing was the Retreatia shuttle was an extra cost. Not a problem - we walked to the slopes every day which was not too far - but it would have been nice to have had the free bus closer to the condo or a free shuttle. We used Fleischer's for ski rentals with the Retreatia discount - highly recommend them, because you can check your skis AND boots at night and you can get a bin for your personal gear for the duration of your trip. So no lugging stuff around! Really a great condo for two families with lots of kids. Retreatia.com was very easy to deal with.
