Beautiful location on the banks of the lower Kenai River. Checkin was easy and Janet and Marv are excellent hosts. Property is a private full suite with kitchen within a larger building. Everything one would need for a Basecamp to explore the Kenai and Kasilof River basins.

Janet and Marv were very welcoming and hospitable. Recommended great local eateries and sights to see. Would definitely stay again!

We loved staying here. We were able to catch our salmon limit every day right from their special spot. You don’t even need to get in the water to fish! The location was great and close to the grocery store and fishing store. I was able to message questions and get a quick response!

Janet helped us with an itinerary and made sure we were prepared for our entire trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better host! Great place to stay! Highly recommended! Clean cute studio decorated for the fisherman’s dream trip!

Sitting watching the Kenai river flow past, listening to the birds and the quiet of the morning in this very clean, comfortable place is good for the soul. Well kept, amazing views of the river, and everything you could need. I would stay here again.

We loved this place. The location was awesome. Close to town but seemed to be secluded. Good spots for fishing but unfortunately, no fish for us. In-between runs. Very nice place and amenities. Great communication with owner. We want to come back for sure.

The location is perfect for getting around the area, yet it’s still quiet. The bed is super comfy and the views are beautiful! The owners were always quick to respond to any questions and overall we enjoyed our stay.

I wish we were able to stay more then one night. The lodging has all the amenities you would need. The rooms were very clean and organized. We sat by the river on the property and watched the moose drink from the river on the opposite bank. It was perfection.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while in Alaska to do some Salmon fishing. We were so happy with our choice to stay here from the start. Janet could not have been more welcoming, helpful and delightful. When she found out we were going on a fishing charter and the weather was going to be bad, she hunted down rain gear and warmer clothes for us immediately. We were so happy to have such a wonderful host. And boy was I glad for the warmer clothes to borrow! The location itself is gorgeous. You can see the Kenai River from inside the studio and the view is great. The kitchen has everything you need. My husband and I were able to enjoy our first trout ever that I grilled on the propane grill we had right outside our door. The studio was warm and comfortable. Perfect for one or a couple. We loved our time at the Kenai River Retreat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you’re visiting Soldotna, don’t hestitate to stay here, you’ll really enjoy it.

My husband and I stayed here for a night and enjoyed making dinner and hanging out at the river. We used the fishing gear to fish for Pink Salmon.

Marv and Janet we're very helpful and nice !!! The studio was Perfect. My husband and I bought food and ate in the studio for breakfast and lunch, and they had all the things we needed to cook. We will DEFINITELY be back so we can enjoy all the fishing equipment they had to offer to enjoy a fishing get away. Highly highly recommend.

Janet's little place was everything that we needed for the four days that we were in Soldotna. From the full kitchen to the fishing pole & tackle and the outside grill, it was superb! Janet is very hospitable and she even let us check out late. We highly recommend Kenai Riverfront Cozy Studio!

I spent 9 months in the cozy studio suite from August 2014 to May 2015. It was a great experience and I would recommend this studio to anybody who comes to the area. It is small, but comfortable for 2 people. The bed is comfy and the decor gives it a cabin-like feel. They have a small flat screen TV in the room and they offer free WiFi. Just outside the studio, there is a patio with chairs and a grill to cook your freshly caught salmon from the Kenai river. Speaking of the river, the have great access on the bank to catch fish. You can see and hear the river from inside the studio. But what I like most of all were the owners, Marv and Janet. They are friendly, nice people who will go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

We spend several nights in the area and enjoyed coming home to the studio and sitting on the lawn watching the birds and the river flow by. Janet was very helpful and even let us get herbs from her garden to use on our fresh salmon we grilled. The studio was very clean and well stocked. We did a lot of things, went to Homer, Hope, Seward, fishing, and kayaking. It is a good midway point so you don't have to move around alot. Very peaceful place and can even see moose in the neighboorhood.We hope to come back soon!

The listing description was accurate regarding the location. The listing photos also reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The property was very clean and met all our expectations. We found all that we needed for our stay. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions and gave us a lot of advice. We enjoyed staying at this property and we loved the view at the river from the inside as well as from the terrace outside. The only thing what we like to complain is that the tap water smelled and therefore we could not drink it. We would have rated the overall experience as excellent, if there had not been this smelling water. We will recommend this property to friends and relatives. As we travelled around and only had a short view in the surroundings it is not possible to recommend any activities, attractions or restaurants. We visited Kenai town, which is a small nice place to see and in Soldotna we found a big supermarket.
