My family spent Easter 2022 at the River House and enjoyed it just as much as our first trip Fall of 2020. The house is well stocked and the river access is perfection. We enjoyed swimming and fishing every day. The location of the house makes it easy to enjoy the area…Alstadt Brewery, Jenschke Farms for strawberry picking, Comfort Pizza and Camp Verde General Store. We’ll be back again!

The property is beautiful. It's a little bit of a walk down to the river but so worth it! The house was immaculate and the perfect size for 3 adults and one 3 year old. The owners were very responsive and friendly. I will definitely stay at this property the next time I'm in the Kerrville area.

WE we were a bit surprised that you can’t see the River from the house but it’s just a very short walk (or drive) to get to the beautiful shady river front private swimming area and kayak put in spot. The owners were very responsive and the house felt very homey. They left a sweet gift for us and everything was just wonderful. The screened in porch was amazing and the whole house was very clean and lots of little extra things included. We had a wonderful time!

Great place. The spot on the river is like having your own private swimming hole! No other people in sight! Great hosts that provide everything you need.

This great was a find. when I rented this property I thought that it was riverfront from what I saw on the website. It was not. But this was the next best thing. I think you need to let people know it is not handicap accessible just for that reason. With that being said I loved this place. It was secluded it was like walking into your house. The front porch was great. I could not have been happier. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Will definitely rent again.

Great place, very clean, and fully supplied. However it is a fisherman’s and hunters getaway place. But still clean and great. Riverside was awesome and love it being so quiet. The tubers pictured online was deceiving. That is really at Schreiner park. I must say though our riverside was totally awesome. Thank you for helping our memories come along.

The home was cozy, spacious and very well-stocked. We enjoyed listening to the passing storms while sitting on screened porch and we loved the set up down by the river. The sounds of the river made for a relaxing and soothing experience. We'll definitely be back!

Very warm and inviting place to stay for a relaxing vacation. The home has everything you need for a relaxing mini vacation. Me and my wife would like to come back again. We had a wonderful stay. The house was located on a gorgeous place. Walking distance to the river. The house was very clean and the owners were so very kind!

We loved it it was quiet, and we love the river. The place was clean we love watching the birds and the squirrels..

This property was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The river access does not disappoint. The river section offers swimming, fishing, and floating. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy and very relaxing by the water.

I’ve stayed at The River House twice in 2020 and it never disappoints!!! What a treat! Between the privacy, river set up, and relaxing porch, we love staying here! The only downside to the entire place is that mattresses but it’s not enough to keep us away. We look forward to staying here again in the future!!

Our family had a wonderful time at this fun getaway on the Guadalupe. We had a blast floating the river, fishing and generally relaxing at this peaceful spot. The house was comfortable and well equipped and the open layout was great for a family. Tim and Lori were so helpful and great hosts, right down to the welcome basket upon arrival!

We enjoyed vacationing in this home. The river front is a little walk from the house. Nice area to sit in the mornings. The front porch is nice to watch the birds in the morning with lots of trees. Also down the road is a fun area to play in the river at the low bridge. Kerville-Schreiner Park is just down the road and you can rent kayaks and canoes. Great spot thank you!

This place is so fun. Its very close to town, but we never left. We had everything we needed down at the River. The kids played all day

Our group of 5, my sister, her 2 daughters, her granddaughter and myself, chose the River House for our yearly girls trip when travel plans for Charleston, SC fell through because of COVID-19. We could not have picked a better place! River House checked all the boxes for a perfect vacation! The house was clean and so comfortable! We spent our morning coffee time on the screened in porch watching the birds and squirrels and a deer or two. Our nights were spent around the kitchen table playing board games. The River House has the most amazing access to the Guadalupe River! We would load one car with what we needed for the day and the others would walk! Either way only took minutes. The beach like area made it so easy to get in and out of the water. This access made for the perfect first time river experience for our 7 year old! We will recommend this place to our family and friends!!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with the “French Females”!

Great property, with excellent river access! Perfect for our family vacation! We enjoyed our stay very much, and would recommend The River House!!! My only suggestion would be to bring your own pans if you are cooking for a large family. There were only 2 small pans.... other than that I would say it was pretty much perfect.

This house and property was perfect for what we were looking for. Quiet and secluded. The house had everything we needed for cooking inside and out. Loved that tubes were provided also for the water. We saw all kinds of wild life but my favorite was all the birds and the mama turkey with her 6 babies. The fishing was great also! My kiddos loved the giant checkers! It was also nice to walk in to a welcome bag, thank you! I loved all the pictures inside and the family feel. I would love to know a little history on the house. Wonderful place to stay and we hope to be back. Thank you!

Loved the privacy and abundance of shade on property.

My family had a really nice time staying at this property. The house was clean and well stocked. The riverfront is beautiful. The river was a bit high from recent rains in the area to swim, but we had fun in our kayaks and playing on the riverbank.

This is our fourth time to stay here and once again had a wonderful time. The river cooperated and the grandkids were not disappointed. The property is large with a hill and the kids love going on a “hike” to explore! The Browns are excellent hosts and always respond quickly if we need their help. Everyone hopes to return!

The house was nice and roomy although we were rarely inside. Most of our time was spent on the fantastic front porch if we were not at the water. The property managers were extremely helpful in the questions I had prior to our trip and once we arrived we realized a good portion of the supplies we took weren't necessary because they were already supplied.

We had a fantastic time staying here!! It was very beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed playing in the river, fishing, and paddle boarding. The house was super clean! Wifi service was great in the house, which the kids appreciated! We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Reconnecting/fishing/swimming/tubing/bird and squirrel watching/kayaking/charcoal grilling/s’mores. It really was the perfect get away for all of us to reboot and reconnect. The house is “old country perfect”; it’s maintained with modern appliances and a large open living/kitchen space. It has great WiFi so we could still be connected when needed. We walked under the bridge to the privately owned river front property which was easy and convenient. I want to start planning our next trip there.
