There were 15 people total including a 2-1/2 year old and a 5 month old baby. Bill our host was very responsive to our needs and even had a pack n play for the 2-1/2 yo. He was usually around the area available if we needed anything. The house was wonderful. A lot of time spent fishing in the pond and having bonfires at night. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. There are even 3 crockpots which came in handy because we made food in advance so we didn’t need to go out much. Used crockpots for sloppy joes and pulled pork-just to warm up and keep warm. Bedrooms are comfortable and the downstairs was great for kids - 2 bunk beds worked out great for 4 kids. There is a double futon in the game room area which our daughter slept in one night and said it was very comfortable. One bedroom has 3 queen size beds. That room worked well for our son and his young family ages 5 and under. All in all this is a great place to make many happy memories. I highly recommend it. And our host Bill was wonderful.

It's hard to find a place good for our adult children, spouses and kids. This was it. Beach in front, channel out back, big yard for yard games, great firepit nights. The pond had a great beach for kids, and we made good use of all the watercraft. Even got some fishing in.Bill captained us around in his boat, it would also be great to dock a boat. The channel is beautiful. Bill was easily available to help with anything. The house had a great layout and beautiful details. Parents of little ones got the bedrooms and adult children bunked together, like the old days. Everyone said they would definitely do this again.

We had a fabulous stay - such a lovely home and beautiful setting. Our group had 8 adults and 6 children ages 1-9, and there was so much to enjoy for everyone. Thank you!

My family stayed her over Labor Day weekend. It's in an excellent location with everything you need. I have 3 younger boys and they loved the house amenities along with the outdoor options - pond, swimming, fishing. We also brought our own boat and had plenty of room to park it and the house is in close proximity to a couple boat launches. We will gladly be back!

The location on the channel was new to us. We enjoyed the views, especially the wildlife. The pond with a beach was great for the younger kids. The condo could use upgrading. The upstairs shower/tub had a large crack in it. The tile in the bathroom was loose and unstable. Many of the tv's did not work. The kitchen faucet needs to be replaced. The basement had a funky smell and was not inviting. Overall the house was large enough for our large family but it needs some tlc.

My husband and I spent a wonderful week here with our children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Having both the North and South Units for two families to stay was amazing. It was a perfect family reunion spot. I have already recommended it to others.
We were able to enjoy the fishing and swimming in the pond, campfires and playing games throughout the week.

My family loves to be together for any occasion. We have such a large group (13) 6 adults and 7 grandchildren.. we have a hard time getting a house to fit us, this house was perfect.. the host Bill was the best we’ve ever had. We rented his pontoon boat and he offered to drive us … he was wonderful, took us to a couple of beaches and a restaurant all the while he waited for us.. told us so much about the area. You’d never get that driving yourself.
The house was so clean, there’s a pond out front and the kids had fun playing in there, there’s a fire pit and we used it to enjoy the night. Also kept the bugs away…
The house includes more than the usual.. we didn’t need to bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwashing machine soap, Or laundry soap.
The view from the other side of the house has spectacular sunsets, bald eagles, pelicans, and boats of all kinds.. large lawn we played bags, and other games!
We, our whole family would recommend this house to everyone.. we’ll probably be back..

Such a great place to have our family vacation. The location on the water, private pond with kayaks and canoes, and gaming center in the basement makes this a fantastic place to gather with so many activities to keep everyone happy. The highlight was the pontoon ride with Captain Bill. He took us all over the beautiful bay and canal and ended with a literal bang watching the Sturgeon Bag 4th of July fireworks from the pontoon. Best fireworks experience we’ve ever had! Bill was such a great host, and my family loved getting to chat with him. We even learned he dug/built the pond himself!

We enjoyed a family vacation with ages 4-75. House was as described in description and the location was great. The owner, Bill was great to deal with and is ready to answer all of your questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Door County and had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. There was plenty of room for 14 adults (1 king bed, 5 queen beds and 2 twin beds) and 4 bathrooms. The kitchen and living area were more than spacious for all of us to sit around and talk, play games and The weather cooperated with us and we were able to spend time outdoors on the patio and also by the fire pit.

This was an amazing weekend for my wife, family, friends and I. We had a 60 guest wedding in the property backyard. The location and property are perfect for a small wedding venue. The property owner/manager Bill was amazing. I can't say enough!

We were greeted by Bill Hopf and he was extremely accommodating. Started our campfire, made sure we had enough chairs to sit around it and was close so we could get questions answered.

The property was very nice. There is a pond associated with the property. It is well maintained and clean with a small sandy beach. We were there with our grandchildren and the beach and pond was well used by them.

We had a blast at this Sturgeon Bay property. The kids (and adults) had fun in the private pond - paddle boarding, kayaking, and paddle boating. We even tried our hand fishing a few times! It was so convenient to have fun water activities just a few a feet away from the property. The only suggestion would be to refresh the towels that are made available as they were somewhat worn with occasional holes . Other than that, it’s a great property for a family of all ages! Bill was attentive and there to greet us upon arrival and wish us farewell on checkout. Very satisfied!

Excellent property – we would stay there again anytime
We totally enjoyed our stay at Bill’s house in Sturgeon Bay. The layout was perfect for our group and everyone had a lot of fun fishing in the pond on property. Bill was always available if we needed anything. His prompt service was always top-notch. Thank you for an excellent week in door county.

Family Reunion
We were able to take advantage of the spacious accommodations and enjoyed the property with all the amenities. The highlight of the stay was the fish in the stocked pond out back.

Fun Getaway!
Gorgeous home, close to shops and restaurants and within close driving distance to wineries! Bill was always accessible and there to help when we needed it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway in door county.

Extended family get together
This property was amazing! The house was spacious and clean with a great view. The pond was a big hit with everyone - kids 5-13 as well as the adults. It was the perfect size for the kids to take the boats out and so fun for them to fish! Bill made sure we had everything we needed and took us on a great boat ride. So many great memories made here!

Great Family Property!
This property was perfect for friends and family with kids. The pond was amazing and a perfect way to have everyone stay entertained. The property manager was quick to respond and even brought our kiddos worms when he saw them fishing. We loved it so much we are booking again next year!

Door County Gem
Spacious, private home in an excellent location to enjoy all that Door County has to offer. Our family of 11 had a wonderful long weekend. Our grand daughters ages 6-8 loved fishing in the well stocked pond and playing on the beach and in the water. Easy launch for our pontoon. Spectacular sunsets. The owner Bill was responsive and very helpful. Bill was receptive to some ideas to enhance the experience.

We booked a last minute winter get-away to Port Haven. The house was perfect for two families with young adult children. The view was great and the basement provided a lot of entertainment. The open floor plan was perfect for all of us to gather. Communication with Bill, the property owner was immediate. He checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We drove to Cave Point County Park and Peninsula State park for beautiful hikes during the day. We hope to return!

Love the location
This was for a girls weekend and it was great. Nice place, amazing master bathroom, open concept, great neighborhood. TVs did not work well and some things could be upgraded for the price of the place.

The owner doesn’t respond to emails. You have to call him. The appearance of the home is lovely, but it left a lot to be desired. The TV didn’t really work- the picture is blue. Netflix barely worked. It froze every time we tried to use it. Couldn’t use our own Amazon accounts. The internet WiFi could only manage one user at a time. There were only a few towels and they were stained. Several bed sheets were stained. The sofa was broken. No toiletries, so bring your own body wash, hair dryer, etc. refrigerator water/ice dispenser didn’t work. The outdoor chairs were ripped up. For the price per night, it was not worth it.

Virtual Door County Century Ride 2020
This lovely lake home served as the perfect location for a group of us to complete our own version of the cancelled Door County Century. It not only fit our entire group, but was located in a quite spot that allowed for good rest the night before and a beautiful fire and cookout celebration afterwards.
A bonus was the great fishing from the end of the pier that provided extra fun to out stay.

Perfect family vacation!
We were looking forward to this family vacation after quarantine! 8 adults, 3 children under 3. Everything was perfect. I had many questions for Bill before our visit and he was kind enough to answer all of them. Everything was stocked and clean. We had the North Unit with 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. More than enough room! One bedroom has 5 beds and the new bedroom was in the new basement! There is an extra fridge/freezer in the garage so there is more than enough room for your food. Big campfire on the side of the unit. Can launch and dock your boat right there on the property! So convenient! Wal Mart is 7 min away. We loved the pond area, just make sure that you bring water shoes because it is pretty rocky on this side. Many pond toys, with 2 canoes, paddleboat, kayak. Some big fish which were fun to catch and little fish for the little ones! Thank you Bill and Ann Marie for answering all our questions and can't wait till next July!

Perfect entertaining
We spent 3 nights here as a home base for our daughter’s New Years Eve Wedding. It was a wonderful place to stay and host family. The downstairs family/game room was a big hit with the kids. The owner was great with accommodating parking issues and clearing snow. The house was tastefully decorated for Christmas. Can’t wait to return!
