It had everything we were looking for & more! Clean, great fireplace, close to ALOT of great activities- just a great, quiet place to relax with family!

The photos don't do the large window views of the trees justice. The house is set right in the trees and makes staying here so relaxing. Lucky for us, we had snow, but it would be great to come and enjoy the screened in porch and deck. We loved hiking around the new trail on the property and had fun playing pool and air hockey. Everything is set up for comfort and relaxation.

The cabin was VERY clean -one of cleanest VRBO rentals we've had! Private yet easy to find and access. Nicely appointed with all the amenities we wanted. Excellent communications with owner to make sure everything went smoothly and they even offered extra hospitality when some of the weather dampened our plans. One of the best and smoothest rentals we have ever had. Hope to visit the Whiporwhill again!

We were thrilled with Whippoorwill retreat. Secluded location in the woods. Minutes to the James creek boat launch and only about 20 minutes to 7 points marina where we rented a slip for our boat. The house was immaculate! So nice to walk into a freshly cleaned home. You can tell the owners really take great care of this property. I would take our dog for a walk all the way down Clappers Ridge Rd. every morning.. Awesome walk! No traffic whatsoever. At the end of the road is a cul-de-sac and a stone path that leads right down to Raystown Lake (near Shy Beaver boat launch). Such a neat added bonus. We would walk or drive down at night and go fishing. The family room, kitchen and loft areas are fantastic. Great stay. Great property.

We booked this for a small family vacation and had such a great time! The house was SO clean and welcoming and Mark was so great to communicate with. If we are ever back in the area we will book again.

Well maintained property, close to everything we wanted to do. Great fire pit, house is amazing, loved the hiking trail. Also easy kayak and canoe access less than 2 miles away. Pool table and air hockey for the kids, plus huge movie collection was all appreciated. Great trip!

This property is a beautiful home with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The owner’s personal touches make you feel extra welcome. There are so many fun activities to do within a half hour drive such as boat rentals, state parks and hiking. I would highly recommend choosing this home for your vacation.

We stayed at the Whippoorwill Retreat Feb 16-20 of this year, and it was wonderful, as always. This is about our 7th year coming here, and it is as warm and comforting as the first time we stayed there. It's always well stocked with paper products and all of the comforts of home. There were 8 of us ranging from age 13 to adults, and we all slept comfortably. With the pool table, air hockey table, fire pit, and cozy woods all around, it is a fantastic winter getaway, in addition to the summer. The owners are so friendly and great to work with. The Whippoorwill Retreat always gets a 5-star rating from us!

The pictures do not do this property justice. This is a beautiful home stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The owners are wonderful - checking on us to make sure we were good. They thought of everything you may need. You can tell they love their property as it is well-kept and clean. This was probably the cleanest, best stocked and wonderful property I've ever used through a rental service. Do not hesitate to book here - we will definitely be back!

Great House to stay at
Everything was great . Had all the utensils needed in the kitchen . I stayed in a lot of rentals like this but this one was great first one I ever stayed at with all paper products supplied. Mark was great to check with us to see if everything was good for us when we checked in also. Had a great stay would recomed to anyone .

This property was absolutely perfect for our stay. There was plenty of room for the 8 adults who stayed. The house is gorgeous and located in a beautiful wooded setting. Everything we needed was supplied in the house. We rented a transient dock at 7 Points Marina which was only about 20 minutes away. The owners were easy to contact and even called to make sure everything was ok. It was our best VRBO booking.
