I rented this property for three families including my own. The house itself is beautiful but the backyard and views of the lake are even better. The house was well stocked and very clean. Huge backyard and fire pit area! The owner had great communication prior to checkin and gave us a ton of information about the lake and surrounding area. Would 100% stay here again.

Terrific house, location, homeowner and overall experience.

We stayed for Thanksgiving week and absolutely loved the property. It is well decorated, well maintained, and had just about everything you could possibly need. We brought a lot of our own kitchen things, but probably could have gotten by without them, even on Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the fire place and the food pit p outside, and had morning coffee in the sub room. We could not have asked for a better trip!

Our family had a fantastic time at Judy's property on the lake. The house was clean and very well maintained. The property is beautiful and peaceful. We loved how quiet it was on the cove. After long days out exploring it was great to come back and relax by the lake. Judy was easy to work with and readily available for any questions. I would highly recommend this rental.

This was such an amazing trip, our whole group wants to come back together and individually. Lake Norman was just the right mix between relaxing while still having tons of fun things to do. The property was fantastic, it was more than “just somewhere to sleep” and we really enjoyed being there. Highly recommended

Recently renovated home with all the furnishings. This home was a great fit for 4 adults & 4 teenage children. I would highly recommend it to others. Bring your boat, the lake is beautiful!

We loved our stay at the lake cottage, it’s the perfect lake house! The cove is quite and our neighbors were very friendly. A perfect relaxing weekend in a beautiful home.

We had a great long Easter weekend at the house. Enjoyed all the outdoor space, including the fire pit and deck. All the rooms were comfortable and spacious. Would definitely rent again.

What a great weekend we had with family at this property. My family including multiple 80+ year olds had a great time despite rain and downpours almost the entire time. Property is spacious with multiple living/relaxing areas. All bedrooms on one floor with no stairs is wonderful for seniors.

A great family getaway! Stayed at Stumpy Creek with family and kiddos. Judy and her husband were great hosts. The home was equipped with everything you could need and was extremely clean. The home is beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Beautifully decorated and the location on the lake is amazing. Would definitely recommend!

House was amazing my husband and I brought my 80 year old father and Friends to fish the Oakley big bass tournament. Everything was perfect except the fishing could've been better I will definitely stay again.

The Cottage at Stumpy Creek was perfect! We brought our groceries with full plans to hang out at the house and water the entire time. The kitchen had every utensil, pan, dish, etc. that you can think of as did the deck storage with yard and water toys. There’s items that we brought that didn’t even come out of the truck! With 4 adults and 2 children, the space and layout was very nice. We have great family memories now made here. Thank you to the Newlin’s for allowing us the opportunity to experience their family cottage on Lake Norman. We can‘t wait to come back!

Judy’s lake house is incredible! Our family enjoyed 4 nights at her beautifully renovated home and cannot wait to go back. The open concept is great for families especially the kiddos. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms provides plenty of space for everyone. What was most impressive was how well stocked this rental was — Judy thought of everything from all kitchen utensils, pack and play, appliances, soaps, sunscreens, indoor toys, and outdoor toys. We brought our boat, tube, lily pad, etc and could have left all of that at home because she has it all! On top of all of this it was definitely one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed at. Thank you, Judy and your family for creating such a wonderful escape and for sharing it with the world. We can’t wait to go back!!!

My family and I stayed here for a safe COVID get-away. It was truly perfect! The house is wonderful! Very clean, all the supplies we needed, great design. The access to the lake and to Lake Norman State Park were perfect. We hiked in the state park each day and spent the afternoon swimming and enjoying the dock. I would highly recommend this and hope we can come back soon. And the owners were lovely - very nice people.

What a gem! The house, especially the kitchen, were fully stocked and inviting. We quickly felt at home for our long weekend. It was also a great outdoor space; our kids loved swimming off he dock in the quiet cove. My son is asking everyday when we can return.

I've been using VRBO and AirBnb as hosts and renters since 2013. We've stayed all over the country and had really great stays. This stay was the absolute best of them all. Judy is a FANTASTIC host. Everything from the arrival experience to check out was GREAT. This house was so much better than the pictures. Immediately upon walking in the view is PERFECTION. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The screened in porch and deck are DREAMY. The kitchen has everything you could need. Judy is an incredibly thoughtful host. All the bathrooms had extra amenities like sunscreen, toothpaste and aloe. How kind! The sheets are soft, the towels are plush...even the toilet paper is better than 95% of all other rentals. If you are looking for a lake home experience, with a beautiful yard, warm water then this is BEST house this is for you.

Great communication and responsiveness with the owner, beautiful remodeled home, stocked with everything you would need for a stay, very clean (which is hard to find when renting on vacation now days), great views of the cove and lake, perfect location to near restaurants/shops, great spot on the lake, I could go on and on! We would definitely recommend and hope to return!

The house was even nicer in person vs what you can see in pictures. The dock was perfect for us to swim off of and paddle board around. The location is great too, we would definitely stay here if we returned to lake Norman, no doubt
