We were really impressed with the Loft. It was very clean and well appointed. It wasn't one thing that we needed that was not supplied. The deck was our favorite spot with a beautiful view of the lake and the ravine. We could see the deer come in at night to feed under the light. That was a special treat. The firefly lights were magical. So many unexpected special features. We enjoyed both the hot tub and the sauna. We will definitely plan another trip soon. Thank you for everything.

The loft is charming and has moved to the top of my list on pleasant experiences. Everything is spotlessly clean. Thought appointed and lacking nothing. Watered and convenient. The sauna was a surprise as it is new since I made my reservation. I really enjoyed using it. It has a lovely view of the lake. The entire cabin and deck have beautiful views of the lake and the ravine. Firepit was very private and so beautiful. The high-quality Adirondack chairs were clean and comfortable. Next time I'm going to bring my granddaughter. She will love fishing off the dock. I'm coming back in July to take advantage of the kayaks and I want to see the gardens in their full glory. The butterfly garden is especially intriguing to me. The clay sculptures throughout the 7 acre property are lovely touch. I understand they are made by a local artist. I thought we would get out and do some hiking but the property is so inclusive we never felt a need to leave. We did go around the corner for coffees and breakfast. Cute little shop. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was an awesome trip for me and my family. There’s tons of activities all around and it’s such a beautiful place to be to release your mind from the world. Nothing but 5 stars our family definitely will be back for our get away.

My husband and I booked the Logan Loft for our 1-year wedding anniversary and had an amazing time! The property the loft sits on is beautiful - we loved walking to the water of Lake Logan and making a campfire each night! It's close to all the hiking trails we wanted to do at Hocking Hills and is easily accessible. The staff are also super friendly! We showed up right at check-in time, and the couple of staff members we ran into gave us directions and instructions for things around us on the property, like where to find firewood, kayaks, and mountain bikes. Overall we loved the experience, and would definitely stay again!

This was our second stay with Cut Above Cabins. Our first was earlier this summer when we rented the Summit Lodge, a big cabin that supported our large family gathering. It was perfect. This time my wife and I returned to Hocking Hills and only needed a cabin to support the two of us. The Lake Logan Loft was perfect for our needs. A comment about Cut Above Cabins. We have stayed at many cabin over the last 10 years and have found Cut Above to be the best on support and quality of amenities. They do not skimp. Back to the Lake Logan Loft. It is a fun well maintained cabin in great proximity to the trails in Hocking Hills. Everything worked. The cabin accommodates just one couple but does it with plenty of room. It is exceptionally well maintained. I would recommend the loft and further recommend any cabin in the Cut Above inventory. They do it right.

Amazing!!! Every detail was thought of. The Lake Loft cabin, the decor, hot tub, and the wonderful outside lights by the fire pit. It was a great spring break. And our cabin made our trip special. Thank you Evelyn for everything. We will be back.

Really enjoyed getting out on the like with the canoe, life jackets, and paddles provided. Enjoyed the wildlife around the property. We saw deer, squirrels, geese, and blue heron. Bed was super/comfy and we slept well even the first and last nights of the trip when we usually struggle.

We booked for 3 nights, but after the 1st night, we decided we were enjoying the loft and our getaway so much, that we added an extra night. Everything about the loft was top notch. We enjoyed the canoes that were included, and went out 2x on the lake. Although not as private as other cabins we’ve been to in the area, it was private enough to suit us

Upon arrival we realized just exactly how close the owner’s home is to the loft… very close. Also the owners home is directly in front of the loft. To get to the lake, you must walk through her yard. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and paid for 2 nights. We left Friday- not even caring that we were losing our money from the second night. Shoes must not be worn in the house. There is a very detailed list of rules and instructions. Bring your own set of dishes- we purchased paper plates. While beautiful, all the dishes were fine China type dishes. I feel she decorates with these. We looked for plastic cups in the cabinets…go buy some. Your deck is on the side which if you sit on, you are looking at the large chalet which had guest inside. It feels as though you are looking inside their space if you are sitting outside. The white bed spread and pillow shams must be taken off the bed and placed in the back of the closet. There are ample pillows and blankets to use. No oven, just a cooktop. The step leading to the cabin are steep. There are lights on the railway but only a couple were working. This is very dangerous! I mentioned this to the owner. Thank goodness we had our phones to use our flashlight. There is a deck box down by the hot tub with specific hot tub towels. I knew this prior to going down to the hot tub since I read in the book that you could only use those towels for the hot tub. After getting out of the hot tub and dripping wet, we realized that there was only 1 hot tub towel! The book also states to put in chlorine in the hot tub after each use. There was only 2 pre measured cups of chlorine. If you wear makeup you have to use the dark towels only! Friday morning we got up and did some hiking and exploring. We probably needed to shower but literally got back to the loft and was like, let’s just go home! We packed up our things and cleaned the cabin. Upon removal of the bedsheets, I discovered a large stain on the mattress cover. It was probably the final straw. I carefully read through the other reviews before leaving mine. The responses to the reviews are always an argument back from the owner. If there is onsite maintenance then the lighting on the steps should have been addressed and known about. If there is a cleaning crew, the stain should have been addressed. In another person’s review someone mentioned the old spices and the response was that those spices were the owner’s grandmother’s spices-a heirloom sign is needed.

Beautiful property & loft, awesome experience out in nature & relaxing evenings in the hot tub & around the fire pit. Took a 5 mile hike Friday at a couple attractions & 8.5 miles Saturday. Mother Nature is amazing!

We celebrated our 28 year anniversary on New Year’s Eve at the lake loft in Hocking Hills and it was amazing. Everything listed at the loft was there and it couldn’t be any better ! Very close to the trails and the inn and spa where we had dinner. We wanted quiet time away and we got it !!

Logan loft was gorgeous, and very comfortable. It was a clean place to spend a getaway weekend. The property was exactly as expected. The decor was unique and stylish.

The property was in an excellent location for all the sight seeing and attractions. Located right on Lake Logan with beautiful views. The loft was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed, which is very important to us. Beautiful, we will come back again.

Nice property and very clean , but not due to maid service . For a “vacation “ and for the pricey stay , I would expect to not have to clean the whole property before departure . I understand having to rid place of trash and keep in a tidy order however , having to sweep , surface clean and put all dishes away was a little much . We felt we couldn’t just be like at home during our stay . Also the light fixture bulb on small patio was not working so up and down steps was hard at night . Washer was out of service and we were not advised prior to our arrival . We have stayed at many VRBO properties and not had the strict guidelines for before our departure as we had at this property. We did give a reluctant 4 stars based on the questions because in those aspects it was a nice property . Property is staged but I don’t feel very homey or welcoming to use .

The property was beautiful. my wife and I were able to do exactly what our plan was, and that was to relax. We spent a lot of time sitting and listening to the sounds of nature.

My husband and I had a fabulous trip visiting Hocking Hills for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Lake Logan Loft. We will definitely stay again. It was immaculate and wonderfully decorated. The bed was comfy and we had everything we needed. We didn't do any cooking, but if we had wanted to, everything that we would have needed was made available. The kitchen was stocked with every kind of cooking utensil and bakeware. I noticed also many spices, salt, pepper, oils, etc... The scenery was beautiful. I enjoyed sitting outside. My husband loves to fish and it was so convenient to be able to walk to the lake and he even was able to put his small boat in right there. It wasn't far at all if we would have had to drive to the marina, but luckily his little boat can be maneuvered about anywhere. I actually preferred being close to town (less than 5 minutes) and the Wifi signal was very strong. The drive to Old Man's Cave was about 20 minutes. Evelyn has many books available if you're a reader and there were also many DVD's to choose from if you want to watch a movie. We had rain one night and we did watch a little TV and a movie and everything worked perfectly. The central air was very needed one of the days and the loft felt very cool and comfortable. We did not take use of the kayaks (just not enough time), but they were located right where it was said they would be. If we had just had one more day we would have had time to use them. The sunset on the lake was beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend taking in the view. I presume the sunrise is just as beautiful. Lake Logan Loft will not disappoint you.
