The house was absolutely perfect and the location cannot be beat for the price. Huge value. My wife and I and our 4 year old had one of the best weeks of our lives here. We went to Hawaii last year and this was a better time in a lot of ways. So good!

We loved the quaintness and cleanliness of the house! It was perfect for our family and the outdoor shower and space was a huge bonus. The beach access was directly across the street and so convenient for little ones. If we needed anything it was a quick walk back to the house. Be prepared to bring all your essentials; toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, propane, etc. We didnt know we were supposed to and either had none or very little available. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the area and neighbors were quiet and friendly. Would stay again!

Was so nice to be so close to the beach! Nice little place and had all we needed. Was too hot to hang out outside until the sun went down but really enjoyed the porches and tiki bar. Could walk to the Black Pelican and short drive to many other restaurants and shopping. Beach was so close!

House is nicely decorated. Front porch is nice for early morning coffee. Sadly not much of an ocean view due to the dunes being so high but I understand why they have been so built up. Look the tiki bar area for eating and evening fun. Great beach access. Host answers questions quickly. You'll love this house!

While this was not the largest cottage we have rented it was definitely the coziest and we truly enjoyed the location, steps from the beach. We enjoyed all of the outside areas which included the front porch, the back deck and the downstairs bar and yard area. The house is decorated in a beach vibe that just feels warm and inviting! Will definitely rent again!

Our family loved staying at Buddy’s Place and cannot wait to go back! When arriving, the home was immaculately clean, and everything is as pictured! The beach access with steps is directly across the street and made it so easy for our family of four to come and go to the beach as needed! We have a 6 year old and 9 month old so we made lots of trips back and forth for naps etc! We spent every sunrise and sunset on the front porch swing! The kitchen had everything you needed and the home was well stocked with all your essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing things) I Highly recommend staying here if you want to be close to the beach!

Buddy’s place is the place to stay in Kitty Hawk. Location is everything, this was our first visit to the OBX and I am glad we found this place!
The house is cozy and comfortable, the beds all have pillow tops. The couches are comfortable to sit and relax on.
The kitchen has all the amenities you need to cook just like at home. Even a crockpot! I had no problem preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Buddy’s place.
Plenty of conveniences offered by Buddy include as pictured the hose, outdoor shower and the bar height chairs on the front porch. The lifeguard chair was my spot every day, awesome find Buddy!
The house is conveniently located next to Lindbergh ave. The only street that doesn’t get a lot of traffic so you can enjoy a cool bike ride, run, walk in the morning. A good 4 mile round trip bike ride in the morning was perfect.
The beach is directly across the street, there were other families nearby that used the same access and finding a good front row spot to the ocean was no problem at all.
We used a ocean Atlantic rental for the bikes, umbrella and chairs. They delivered upon arrival and picked up the day we left. Less we needed to pack for our trek.
The backyard bar area lighted up good for evening cocktails. Plenty of seating for us all.
This was the perfect place for our first trip.

Buddy’s Place was a great beach house for our family vacation this year. It is the perfect size for a family of 5 or 6, and provided us with all of the comforts and convenience of home. Being so close to the beach with the access directly across the road was very nice - not having to carry all of our beach gear very far was awesome! We’ll definitely try to stay here again the next time we visit OBX!

This is a small piece of heaven. Not one of the big houses that have taken over OBX. Amazing location! Literally walk across the street to private beach access!!! Hosts were amazing, and answered every question I had! And trust me.... I had plenty!!! Even called me to make sure everything was okay on check in!!! Felt amazing to deal with a person instead of a big realtor company!!

Buddy's Place was the perfect spot for our family of 5 to get away and enjoy our first trip to the OBX. We really enjoyed the property as well as the close proximity to the beach. The outdoor shower and bathroom made it nice to clean up after a day in the sand as well as easy access to a bathroom when needed. The front porch elevation is just enough to be able to enjoy coffee on the porch by looking out over the ocean. This area seem to be a good central location to enjoy both the northern and southern parts of OBX. We would definitely rent with Buddy again!

I cannot say enough nice things about this property. It literally felt like home away from home. All the necessities you're used to and you can see the ocean from the front porch. Great outdoor bathroom/shower keeps the sand out of the house and outside where it belongs. Plenty of instructions and reminders posted inside to answer any questions you may have. I brought down my wife, son, and his best friend and it was an amazing week. I hope we can book Buddy's Place again next year!!!!

Location Location Location. Buddy's place is literally steps away from the beach (you do have to cross VA dare highway, but folks are good about watching out for pedestrians) The covered front porch was great for listening to the waves and for remaining outside during an afternoon rain shower. The house itself was comfortable and clean--as advertised. The REALLY nice feature for us was the full outside bathroom complete with shower + potty for all our little sandy people. Not having to come inside the house each time we needed to use the bathroom helps keep the house less sandy! There is also ample outside dining space which was great when we came off the beach and had picnic lunch with family that was staying at another property. We enjoyed our week and would consider staying here again in the future. Thanks for the memories!

We love the location of the house, and ease of access to the beach, overall the house is nice and clean. We loved sitting on the front porch in the evening and listening to the waves. However it needs a few updates to make it outstanding, all the queen mattresses sag in the middle, making sleeping with your spouse difficult as you roll into them. The top bunk mattress, just not sure what up with that. The appliances work, but a few of them may be older than me.

Pleasant stay in a well decorated home
Buddy's Place is a well decorated, well stocked, clean VRBO rental. Outdoor shower and clothesline for wet towels is perfect! Beach steps were used by many and definately a plus. I had a little unease about being on a main road but it was never an issue during our stay. Cars always stopped to let us cross and honestly traffic noise wasnt an issue either.. Enjoyed morning coffee on the porch swing every morning of our stay. Tiki bar area was a great place for dinner. The view was not quite as we expected due to the height of the dunes BUT you can see the ocean! The lighting in all rooms could be brighter. Loved the ceiling fans in the rooms. Overall an amazing OBX week :-)

Buddy's Place was great. The beach access across the street made it very convenient. We used the outdoor space everyday. Adults and kids loved it. I didn't realize how nice having the outdoor bathroom and shower would be. Tasrefully decorated with a homey feel. Will stay there again
