This lake home is very spacious with a large kitchen, two TV rooms and an enormous master with three beds. My adult children ended up sharing this room for fun. The private lake is large enough to ski on but without the traffic of a larger lake. The location is in between Raymond (grocery shopping etc) and Naples (restaurants). Portland is a short 45 minutes away and we visited a couple of times. We will come back again!

A relaxing week in a house which had everything we need.

Staying in this home gives you the true lakes region of Maine feel. Beautiful classic home with plenty of space inside and out. Huge spacious yard and a perfect dock on the water. All 5 of our kids loved this house and the dock and we all hope to return to it next July. It is in a great location too which is always a plus!

This was our second year here. We had such an awesome week water was so refreshing with it being such a hotweek. My only suggestio would be a second trash can in the garage as it was to full by the end of the week. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

This was a great house for our family of 7 (5 kids 4-14yo.) It was a very spacious house with everything you need. We spent a ton of time down on the dock and in the water swimming, kayaking, and fishing. We brought along a few kayaks and paddle boards. I would recommend doing the same or renting from one of the local marinas/companies if you enjoy being on the water since they do not provide kayaks. Multiple places to rent from though if interested! Very easy access to property and owners communication was perfect! Would definitely go back again!

Thomas Pond is a beautiful lake. We enjoyed the waterfront, especially the new dock. It would add to the waterfront experience if they would re-surface the raft portion and the walkway leading on to the dock. The boards the ladder is anchored in is rotting, and I feared when I climbed out of the water it would rip loose.
The house was adequet but not very clean. You had to walk through this total wreck of a garage to get into the house. The light fixture by that door was siting on the bench as you came in. Also the bulbs were missing. I found some bulbs above the stove and replaced two of them and attached the light fixture.
Lots of spider webs on windows and dead bugs. Window sills dirty. Grimy finger prints on kitchen cabinents and other door handles. Dining room light fixture so thick with dust, I had to clean it and replace one of the light bulbs. Also had to call the property manager to replace bulbs in downstairs bathroom as only 2 of the 5 were working. That sink also drains VERY slowly.
There is no light by the washer and dryer so it is very difficult to see what you are doing. The pool room is dirty but also very hot. The radiator behind the door is on for some reason which heats up the room.
The upstairs bathroom water pressure was nill whern we tried to use it. Called the property manager who came and changed the filter which improved it. (Dave was very nice and responsive). Cleaned bulbs in that bathroom, fixed light fixture in bedroom. Could go on, no space

My family had a great stay. There's easy access to a lake through the backyard and it's very close to Lake Sebago. The lake in the back is low key and quiet but access to the busier Lake Sebago is a quick drive down the road. All in all a very pleasant stay.

There was three generations that totally enjoyed our stay at this spacious home. The home was very comfortable. The lake and dock was very user friendly for swimming, fishing and boating. There was a pool table and an extensive movie library that was also entertaining. A quick ride down the street were many stores and restaurants! It really was a perfect location.

Spacious house on Thomas Pond
Great big house. Clean & lots of windows for natural light. Couple of downfalls are long walk up or down a hill to get to & from the dock. Needs some lounge chairs for the dock & a screened in porch or deck for outdoor seating. Cushions on the dinningroom chairs would be wonderful too. Lastly there was only one propane tank & it was 3/4 empty. Air conditioners could use some updating as well.

great place for kayaks
We especially liked kayaking off the dock behind the house. There were very few other boats out on Thomas Pond in september . Nice view of the backyard and pond from the dining table. We enjoyed playing pool in the basement.
We recommend eating at Chutes 7a-1p it is very close.

Amazing quiet place
We have stayed at this property for the second time and absolutely loved it. The house is spacious and clean, it is fully stocked with kitchen supplies and even drinking water. We loved the apple garden, campfire and swimming off the dock. We would come back again.

Maine Lake Awesome
Exactly what you'd expect from a family owned lakefront property on a great Maine lake. Awesome deep water, but virtually empty of other people and boats! Great for all water activities! Sloped yard but good for games. Lots of space for sleeping.

Beautiful home
Seven of my family members stayed here for a week. We had a great time ! We grilled, fished, went blueberry picking then made pie in the enormous kitchen! The beds were all comfy and the house is beautiful. There is a VCR player in the family room. At night, we played some classic VHS movies that the grandkids had never heard of. The house is close to everything. We will definately come back again.

Great location
The property worked out well for us (multi-generational family) with two separate bedroom areas. There were some things that weren't ideal and need some updating, but overall was a good home and the location was excellent on the water. The property manager was helpful and responsive.

Relaxing retreat
While an older property that could use a little plumbing update and a garage clean out ( funny smell), overall the house was clean, bright and sunny. Water access was great and we had a great time.

2 family vacation
The property is very spacious. Great kitchen with ample seating to entertain. Right on Thomas pond with a dock is great too. The kids did a good amount of swimming. We have a relative who lives on lake sebago, so it was a quick commute to there house. Some negatives: the kitchen faucet water pressure is almost non-existent, making it hard to do dishes. This should be fixed. Also the shower head on the downstairs bathroom is boarderline painful. Shoots out of certain holes and not others. Not a pleasant shower experience. Also an easy fix for the home owner. We pondered buying our own cheap shower head while there. We did see some ants and spiders in the house but this should be expected. It’s Maine. The house had been cleaned but not extremely well. Overall it met ours needs. Might have been a different story had we spent all of our time there. We are contemplating staying again next year because of the proximity to our relatives house.

Thank you for a wonderful experience. Your house was in a perfect location on Thomas Pond. The dock was so peaceful for reading. We decided to push the beds in the twin room together to make a king so we could wake up to the lake view. Of course we separated them when we left. The kitchen was very spacious and had everything we needed. Being on the water was a real treat for us. Thanks for listing on VRBO.Regards,Tillie and Peter

Summer 2020
The location is beautiful Thomas Pond is lovely. The sun, for sun lovers, is only early morning by noon it’s not on the dock any longer. The house was very nice the master bedroom has to walk downstairs for a bathroom unfortunately. Kitchen is large and wide open with a lovely view from the dining table. Cleanliness at our arrival could have been better we needed to clean before we could use some items. The big issue was no water pressure. It was almost non existent if someone was showering. You had to runaround under the trickle to shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful week in the Maine Lakes Region
For a family gathering of ten, this cottage provided exactly what we were hoping to find! There was plenty of room for all and the owners have thoughtfully provided room air conditioners throughout so that the sleeping areas were very comfortable in August. Everyone loved going to the dock to catch the sunrise, even the seven and ten year olds. The two large Adirondack chairs on the dock were occupied very frequently during our stay since the pond provides relaxing and beautiful views throughout the day. There was plenty of room for the kids to dive and jump into the water with adults nearby to supervise. The house was clean and well-appointed with a large kitchen and eating area that also became a focal point of our stay. The location allowed us to explore the area, including several day trips to the White Mountain/North Conway area and to Portland. All of us were sorry to see our week come to an end and more than one suggested that we come back again soon!

Quiet, spacious home and with large dock!
We are happy returning vacationers! We rented late August/early September 2018 and had an amazing mini family reunion. What we love best is the huge dock: it’s large enough for all 10 of us to comfortably lounge, dock two boats, tie up inflatables and the kids still have space to run and jump off and swim. The sunrises are GORGEOUS, and the ducks and loons visit often, it’s incredible. Location: it’s on Thomas Pond right next to Sabego (one of the largest lakes in the state), which is great because Sebago is attracts many boaters and it frees up our pond (which is still a great size for tubing and such). Home and owners: we like the open kitchen and that two large sleeping quarters are at opposite ends of the home. The owners who also manage the property are very courteous and quick at responding to and taking care of any issues we had. We look forward to vacationing here again next time!

A beautiful home in a beautiful area but really needs to be updated.
Right off the bat, the owners were great. They were helpful and called right back when I needed them. There was an issue I dont want to mention online but they were great about it and refunded some of our money. The pond and back yard was absolutly beautiful, the view was amazing. This was one of my favorite family trips ever. That being said, we came with a 6 and 4 year old. Friends in the area came for dinner... The furniture and entertainment area are so old... the tv was a tiny little tube tv. The world series was on and it was so sad to watch on that little tv. It rained so we couldn't go out and explore and so we read books and let the kids watch cartoons and it was not a great experience. The couch was pretty uncomfortable. The biggest part is it smelled musty and there was dead bugs and dust everywhere. (We bought candles and febreeze for the whole house.) Dan mentioned the house keeper came the day before, I highly doubt it. We had to clean when we got there as well as do laundry. The sheets and towels had stains on them and had "camp" written on them in permanent marker. Some of the towels had ragged edges and were super rough. I vacuumed the bugs and the poor vacuum smelled and sounded like it was going to explode. The electricity went off in a storm and there were flashlights, no batteries. We found one candle and went to bed. We tried to open and close the window pull down treatments and three different times they completely fell off and we had to figure out how to put them back on. It was just too old of a house for young people and kids to stay in. We would need to find something more modern and comfortable. I hate to say it but its the truth. I highly doubt we'd stay again. Plus we ended up buying two more water bottles and trash bags because there was none else. I don't want to have to worry about things like that on vacay. The top bedroom really needs some sort of a closet to hang clothes. We had to use the one on the whole opposite side of the house. I was really sad we weren't allowed to use the fireplaces. One last thing, the pool table is crazy...It is basically falling apart, its terribly uneven, the sticks had no tips etc. We made due. Thank you for your time.

Not as promised
Before writing this review, I want to say that we rented this place in Maine the week after Labor Day. I am not sure if this contributed to the issues (because it was not during the summer season).
The house has the potential to be beautiful. The kitchen area is wonderful - large, well equipped, and updated. The location is excellent.
From there, we had issues. One of the questions I asked before renting, and always ask, is are there air conditioners in the bedrooms. I will never rent a place that is not air conditioned. I was assured all 3 bedrooms had AC. And it was advertised as a home with AC. Well, the rooms had room air conditioners, all of which were removed from the windows and in a closet. We were there with my sister and brother-in-law and all of us are over 70. Putting an AC in the window was not possible. Especially without the proper tools. Additionally, one of the bedrooms didn't even have screens, so opening the window wasn't possible. The day time temperatures reached 84 degrees, which is unusual for Maine, but I know Maine weather, and know those temperatures are not impossible. One of the bedrooms registers 90 degrees at night.
I also asked about easily accessible bathrooms to the bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is up a steep set of stairs and there is no bathroom. None of us are physically comfortable going up and down stairs in the middle of the night. I understand that for some this is fine, but I do wish we would have been told this.
Finally, the house sits on a beautiful pond. But there was nowhere to sit and no chairs to move down to the water's edge to sit down.
Earlier in the summer, we stayed in a place in Windham which was perfect and had all the amenities as advertised.

Loved the house needs a little updating
Loved the location and the water. The only things I would change is the linens need to update to fit beds. The pillows are terrible bring your own. The house itself was very nice and I would come back but this time with my own linen and pillows. (Also needs an air conditioner in the kitchen area)
