What a perfect location to stay when exploring the Leadville area. We loved our stay here.

Unlike our other VRBO experiences, by the day of check-in, we had not heard anything from the owner. No check-in info or entrance codes. We messaged Nick that morning on the VRBO app. He never replied. We called him when we were en route and he said we should be getting a message from the housekeeper with the info. Never received it. We texted him (after check-in time) to tell him we still hadn’t gotten anything. He sends a copy/paste message “from” the housekeeper. We arrive at the property 2 hours after check-in time, and get in. Immediately we notice the studio has not been cleaned since the last guest. Sheets in a ball on the bed, trash in both the trash cans, towels on the floor. We contact Nick and he apologizes. Says he hasn’t been able to get in touch with the housekeeper. Offers us the use of his “bunkhouse” rental next door. We didn’t want the bunkhouse, we wanted what we had rented, the Studio with windows on the Main Street. He said “obviously you won’t be paying for this”…. We said we would just clean it ourselves, make the bed, etc, then asked if the housekeeper could just come and clean it now (apparently she had been at a second job and now was off), and we would leave for a couple of hours. He said she could do that. We left our belongings in the car and had to go eat to give her time to clean. We came back and then enjoyed the studio and the location. Nick never returned any money for our inconvenience despite telling us in two separate phone conversations at the time of our unpleasant arrival that he was. Poor communication, lack of cleaning, but great spot. We were patient and never got upset with him. Nothing was done to make up for substandard service.

I wouldn't want to rent this place for a week but it was fine for a quick overnight if you have to stay in Leadville. The hotel/motel scene isn't the most luxurious in Leadville so this place probably was the best option. Some positives -the location was great. We could walk to everything along the main strip and it was only a 5 minute drive to Colorado Mountain College. - it was cute. Nicely remodeled. -checking in with codes instead of keys, etc was very easy. Some negatives -the floor and bathroom door are very squeaky - squeaky enough to wake up the others in your party. -the loft bed was not made when we got there and is a little difficult to get the sheets on -the coffee shop below starts playing their music pretty early/loudly in the morning -the owner sent me a weird text after departure asking if we were in a rush to leave in the morning....not sure what she was referring to and she demanded that the loft bed actually was made. It wasn't...it just had the mattress pad on. So if you want to be verbally asssulted after checkout as a guest who just paid good money....stay here. The other host did text later to apologize for her. Anyway, it was fine but definitely left a bad taste in my mouth after departure.

We really enjoyed our stay. The studio was perfect and exactly as described. The location was awesome, the view was spectacular and it was fun being right over the coffee shop. We will stay here on future visits.

Excellent location in the heart of Leadville. Very modern for a town of older homes. Tip: if staying in the summer keep the window open but blinds closed during the afternoon on a sunny day. Opening the windows at night allows it to cool down nicely. Yes a little noisy from traffic but was not bad for the great location. No noise from the coffee shops below. Would stay again.

No air conditioning! Was pretty miserable trying to sleep. Only one window worked to open which wasn’t enough to cool the room down. Plus with the window wide open the street noise was loud! We used 2 fans but if the window closest to the bed worked it might have helped. Room was fine, trash can lacked bag. “Coffee maker” was also a Nescafé and only took pods which we figured out after buying a pd of coffee. Keypad to rooms didn’t work. Locked out twice from coffee house door.

Spent our 20th wedding anniversary here for the leadville stage race. We had such a blast! The location could not be better. The host was incredibly accommodating allowing us to check out a little late so we could shower and packed after the last day of racing on Sunday. Such a cute unit. Would definitely recommend!

This space was so charming, location downtown was perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping and a short drive to Mt Elbert trailhead. Loved the window seat, mountain views, and cool breeze. Definitely used the fan to drown out street noise but we slept great. Had everything we needed, well coffee is downstairs and a tip if you just want plain coffee there is a box for honor system cash pay so you can skip the line. We will be staying here again!

Perfect location and wonderful accommodation.

The apt was wonderful - everything from dishes to linens was good quality. We loved the location on the Main Street but you do hear street noise starting early in am which was ok as we were up early. The views of the mtns from the apt are beautiful and the coffee shop below is the cherry on top. We did not hear any noise from it. Side street parking wasn’t a problem This was a great place to stay and Leadville was fun too. Only problems - smoke detector in hall beeped continuously. This was noted on past reviews and didn’t bother us. We would have liked to have stayed another night but never got a response from host prior to booking to see if that nite was really unavailable. 4 stars for clearing because VERY dusty under bed but everything else was fine. Probably one of our favorite rentals!!!

This place is fabulous! Perfect location right above City on the Hill coffee shop. It’s clean, updated and has everything you need for a stay in downtown Leadville! Will definitely return!

Located on the main street of town, this cute little studio makes a wonderful stay in the colder months (which is most of the year!) for an active vacation. Flannel linens and western windows made it a bit toasty for summertime - we probably hit one of the three weeks of the year that would matter. It would have been nice to have had one chair/couch for lounging - but that wasn't in the description or photos anyway. Property manager was very responsive.

Literally right in the middle of Heritage St.. This studio was outstanding and Leadville along with surrounding areas were gorgeous!

Once again our stay in winterful Leadville was wonderful at Studio 508!!

This is our second time at this rental, and we really enjoy it. We love the downtown location, and being located above a coffee shop is a bonus!

Great location and a cozy setup. Ideal for 2 with the full size bed and a loft good for an adventurous spirit to climb up a steep ladder to get to. Once there, my daughter said it was comfortable! Great location and the property manager was quick to respond when we had questions. Overall it was a warm, bright homestead and a welcoming place to return to after our adventures!

This cute studio had everything to offer. Not only was it adorable with all the amenities we needed but had great views and easy walking access to restaurants and shops. Added benefit was the smell of coffee in the morning! I would choose to stay here again!
