Had a short but enjoyable family vacation at Glenn's property. Grandparents got the master suite and the rest of us were downstairs. It was very comfortable and the views are great! Waitsfield is conveniently located at the foot of the hill. The Von Trapp store sold local meat and cheese which was really cool. Glenn was accommodating with check in and check out times.

We had a great stay with our friends at this location. Perfectly in the woods, clean and spacious. We had easy access to nearby activities and the host was easy to communicate with.

We were in the area for our son’s graduation from Norwich University. The 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms allowed our group plenty of space to spread out. Our older guests were grateful for a bedroom suite on the main floor. The large dining table was perfect for a celebratory meal after graduation. The views of Sugar Bush can’t be beat! Communication with the landlord was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Unique house with lots of space outside and inside. Close to everything on the North end of the Big Island.

Great option for a large group, about 20 minutes from sugarbush slopes. Great fireplace, lots of wood, good beds, lots of space to spread out. Driveway can be tough in winter if you don't have a properly equipped vehicle (snow tires and/or AWD)

This home was exactly as advertised…plenty of dishes, paper towels, toilet paper. Owner was super helpful with quick responses. Driveway is tough but he warned us of that… we had a great weekend celebrating my nieces wedding down the hill.

We had 3 families (6 adults and 6 kids) stay to ring in the new year in this beautiful home. The location was about 20 minutes to Sugarbush where we skied every day and under 10 min to the center of Waitsfield. The spacious living room had ample space for everyone and the dining room accommodated all 12 of us for dinner each night. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. Great communication with owner regarding some changes in the linen service prior to our arrival. Looking forward to returning next year!

Great place for a family skiing vacation

The chalet is in a perfect location up the hill above Waitsfield. The location is quiet & private, yet close to everything in town (restaurants, shops, groceries - Mehuron's Market is fabulous). Also close to many hiking trails including several access points to the Long Trail. As noted in previous reviews, the view across the Mad River Valley to the main ridge of the Green Mountains is wonderful - either thru the "wall of windows" in the great room or from the large deck. Since there were only 2 of us, we only used the main floor of the house. The bed was fine & there is a large stone fireplace that opens to both the great room & master bedroom. Kitchen was equipped with everything we need to prepare meals. Note that this is an older cabin, so some of the appliances, furnishings, etc. are dated, but everything worked fine. The owner (Glenn) was easy to contact & very helpful. He is planning to make some upgrades to the cabin later this fall. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful for a larger family group. Large, comfortable great room with stunning picture window to mountain views. But plenty of private bedroom space for larger family groups. We were 10 family members staying for a wedding in nearby Waitsfield.

We enjoyed a long weekend with good friends and family. The house suited our needs well. It was a good layout and we all had our space. Well stocked kitchen. Carpets were very tired, the basement smells stale but once we opened the windows and ran the humidifiers all was fine. Beds relatively comfortable. Beautiful deck with gorgeous views. Plenty of parking!! Glenn was very responsive. Would stay again!

Had a very enjoyable stay. Beautiful property and location for summer and winter activities.

The accommodations were spacious and comfortable for our extended family of 10. We love the large deck with beautiful views, where we spent the majority of our time. The humidity on the lower level might have been better addressed with a stronger dehumidifier. There were hooks for a hammock on the deck, but no hammock in sight. The landlord indicated he would look into getting one. That would make for a nice nap on the deck. Overall, we were very pleased. Thank you.

Opening the front door and enjoying the view was an experience we repeatedly enjoyed during our stay. The house was exactly as pictured and met our families needs perfectly. We enjoyed dining together and playing games at the large table. The yard was just right for some frisbee football scrimmages. The road to the house and the driveway were a fun, challenging way to end bike rides through the Valley. The home was private and conveniently located near numerous swimming holes, hiking trails, restaurants, and a Shaws. The kitchen was well stocked. We highly recommend this home. and would stay here again.

Beautiful, spacious getaway, just right for our family group of six adults and four kids. Plenty to do in the area, nice views from the deck, cool and comfortable even on a hot day. Big, well equipped kitchen and dining table for ten. Plenty of local choices for eating out, takeout or cooking when we felt like it. Parking for three or four cars. The host maintains this property well. We loved it!

The house was huge with an amazing view. It was great to have an early check-in and a late check-out. I wish we were able to stay longer!

We used this as our home base for our daughter's wedding at the Skinner Barn. The early check in and late check out was very helpful. Super convenient location. The property was clean and as described but the downstairs bedrooms were musty and a problem for our allergic guests.

We had a fabulous time staying at Glenn's beautiful home. We loved how spacious it felt, even with our two families and five children staying there. The proximity to the mountains for skiing was great, the views were amazing, and Glenn was an attentive and gracious host. We've stayed in many places around the Mad River Valley and this is one we'd love to return to!

Great home layout, awesome location to mountains for skiing, and spectacular view of those mountains. Our group was 10 adults and this is the second time we stayed at the Chalet. We were once again very satisfied with the accommodations. The house layout fosters a relaxing and homely experience with plenty of space to accommodate groups up to 12 people. The only regret is only being able to spend two nights here.

Great house for two families to share. There is plenty of room for everyone. The fireplace is a wonderful spot for everyone to come together. Driveway is difficult for cars without 4 wheel drive.

We (2 couples) spent 1 month at Glen's ski house and had a marvelous stay. The place is spacious and well equipped with spectacular views of the ski slopes. Best of all, Glen was a wonderfully welcoming host who answered all our questions quickly and graciously which makes all the difference for a comfortable stay. Hoping to return next year.

Lovely views of the Sugarbush slopes across the valley. Great fireplace (would have appreciated some wood in the inside bin.) Master bed was nicely firm. Overall, place was suitable and good, albeit a bit tired. Lots of dog hairs in the rug; some towels had stains, etc. Good value? Not sure.

Glen was very responsive and accommodating (letting us bring our 12 year old Lab with us)! We had a great time at the property. As the description says, the house is located up a steep driveway which was rather scary the first time up but we got used to it. You definitely need all wheel drive at a bear minimum; four wheel drive would be even better.

The owner Glenn was SO kind, compassionate and quick to reply as we scheduled and then rescheduled our stay for our daughter's wedding due to Covid. It is a comfortable home with AMAZING views. Check in was easy and the instructions for our stay and check out were clear and easy to follow! We are very grateful for very enjoyable stay. Thank you Glenn!

Glen’s home was very nice and welcoming. There is lots of space and is perfect for an offline retreat with family. Everything was featured in the home as advertised. Glen was also a very nice host.

The location offers terrific views of mountains and ski slopes. The rustic feel of the house fits the atmosphere of the area.

Spacious, great location, great fireplace, plenty of bedrooms and baths. Kitchen was well stocked but only a medium size oven. One bedroom was tough too heat but al others had heating units that were fine. Nice that it is well stocked with firewood. Only suggestion is to have place cleaner than it was when we arrived. Would stay again.
