We had an amazing time at Gracie Bell's. The layout worked perfectly for our family of 5 with two teen boys. We loved being able to hear the ocean at night and to walk there first thing in the morning. The kitchen was fully stocked. Highly recommend.

Great location and property! Be mindful you’ll need to supply your own sheets and towels (rent or purchase). Kitchen is well stocked for making meals at home and the house is clean. Overall a great place to enjoy the Outer Banks!

We had an amazing stay at Gracie Bell's-Anita is the best VRBO host we have ever had. So responsive with any questions I had before and during trip, home was immaculate, hot tub was incredible and cleaned twice while we were there, which was great! Views were breathtaking, dolphins at sunrise and sunset from the deck. We will absolutely be booking again!

We spent almost two weeks at this lovely property over Thanksgiving. We loved being right on the beach. Our kids (8/5/5) had a blast playing in the sand and it was incredible to be able to walk directly from the house to the beach. We saw dolphins almost every day, caught fish right off the shore, and enjoyed long walks and gorgeous sunrises. The proximity to restaurants and stores was very convenient. This was our first time to OBX, and we also liked being centrally located, which made it easy to explore different areas (Roanoke, Cape Point, lighthouses, etc.) The cottage is clean and cozy, with the feel of visiting a family home. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We didn't initially notice that we had to provide our own sheets and towels, which was a small hassle since we flew in, but wouldn't be an issue if you were driving and had plenty of room to pack. Perhaps most notably, Anita was an AMAZING host. We had a few minor things pop up, and she was so responsive and helpful, even on Thanksgiving! She was also so kind and flexible when our kids got sick and we had to rearrange some plans. We rent VRBOs often, and she was hands down the best host we have experienced. Highly recommend this fabulous property!

Super easy process setting up the trip! Anita was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. Close enough to food and stores but enough off the beaten path to enjoy the serenity of the ocean.

From beginning to end, this has been a pleasant experience. Rapid and thorough responses from the hosts, ease of check-in, and a clean and comfortable place to stay. The house is far enough away from the public beach access ways that you feel like it’s a private beach. The updated kitchen, high dining table and full height windows just add to the experience… and let’s not forget about the hot tub!!! Don’t forget to sign the guestbook (nice touch). The ONLY thing, that I would advise perspective renters about is that you cannot see the beach from the deck as the photo shows. The dunes have been raised for protection. There is so much to do in this area of the Outer Banks that you could easily argue to stay 2 weeks, just make sure to spend enough time relaxing on the beach! Thank you again A&T!!

We really enjoyed the beach being right outside the door, the hot tub, and the well-equipped kitchen. Gated deck made a great place for our 19-month-old granddaughter to play. Beds were comfortable. Great communication with owners whenever I had a question. My only suggestion is to have plug covers and cabinet locks available if needed to help with your smallest visitors.

This was our first trip to the outer banks and using Vrbo, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were looking for a reasonably priced property where we could connect and spend time without busy teenagers, and this property was the perfect fit for your family. We have 3 teenagers and it had enough rooms for each to have their own space. The direct access to the beach and the view from the living room and the master bedroom was amazing. The cleanliness was honestly better then expected. I thought for sure there would be some evidence of the previous renters but there was none, which put me at ease immediately. Owners were very responsive and friendly. The only thing I noticed that differed from the listing photos is that the sand dunes have grown rather high since those were taken, so although you can clearly see the ocean, you cannot see the beach from the house. You would need to go to the top of the dunes to see the beach. As for location is was nice and low key. The busier areas of the outer banks were north in Duck and south in Kill Devil hills. We traveled through both on this trip. This property was located close enough to pretty much anywhere you wanted to travel in the outer banks. You would need to drive. Most places are not within a comfortable walkable distance. But that was not a problem for us. We would definitely visit again.

This was our family’s first experience in Outer Banks so thank you to the reviewer who mentioned renting linens because I totally missed that fine print! My family rents vacation homes frequently and this rental was by far the cleanest place we have ever stayed. It was immaculate! While we expected a cozy (small) cottage, maybe even a little dated from the photos (except the kitchen which has obviously been updated), we were thrilled how fresh and comfortable all of the rooms were. There was ample room for our family of 7, kids age 15-7. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the hot tub, the bedding and very clean pillows and living space. I often don’t write reviews because honestly I don’t want to seem nit picky. But I had to write a review that this rental was a top notch experience. We were also pleasantly surprised there were TVs in every bedroom and a large TV in the family room. Our kids do not have TVs in their rooms at home, so that was a treat for them. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there is a selection of dish cloths, though we rented some. There is not a selection of any spices other than salt/pepper, nor cooking spray. There is a Keurig coffee maker that makes pods or a full pot. There were coffee filters, a refillable coffee pod, and a small stash to replenish garbage bags and paper towels. They provided dishwasher pods and dish soap. There was a washer / dryer but no detergent. There were several rolls of single ply toilet tissue (so buy something else if you are particular!) Also, I brought my own wine key ( : I didn’t notice one already there but I could have missed it. There were some outdoor toys and beach chairs that have seen better days, but sufficient for our needs. There were some games and puzzles in the family room, but we brought our own. There was a DVD player and a selection of movies, as well as some beachy reads for adults who forgot a book. We spent luxurious days in total relaxation, watching the kids run around in the sand and watching movies together at night. And… Food Lion grocery delivery for the win!! No membership required ( : Our visit was pre-season and so there were not a lot of people around. However I felt there was plenty of privacy, and the part of town seemed really great. If you are looking for quaint, authentic, relaxing and beautiful, don’t hesitate to book this vacation home!!

Everything about this property was great. It was cozy but big enough for all of us, the kitchen in particular was well stocked with what we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving feast, the location was wonderful, near everything. Because it was a beachfront property, we had the sense of being away from civilization, but as I said everything was nearby if we needed something. We absolutely loved the hot tub on the deck!! The whole experience went really smoothly. One of the bathtubs had a clogged drain. I called the owner about it and someone came very quickly to fix it. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

This was perfect for us. It was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The beds were super comfy and we all slept like babies. We will definitely be back to this house.

You have to bring your own sheets and towels this was hard as we were flying. The hot tub is falling apart there were ants that we couldn’t get rid of Hated the sand driveway needs concrete. I would not return

Although it was a very rainy windy week we had a good time. Easy access to beach and nice hot tub. Had a couple of nice days for the beach and did a lot of shopping. Space for all at the table. Nice stove to cook.

Great beachfront cottage, extremely well furnished and equipped...the hot tub was awesome. Only minor issue was the park grill which due to dune replenishment is almost ground level. Recommend a new gas grill to make this place flawless.

Thank you for a great stay in OBX! We had a great time! The house was perfect for 3 couples and a 2 year old. We spent most of the time on the beach. The hot tub was great for the cooler nights. We were lucky enough to see the pink moon during our stay. I would recommend this house to others. The house has all of the supplies you would need for a great beach vacation.

We stayed for 4 nights at end of March. The house was perfect for out family of 4. The house was very clean and the set up of the house let our kids have one side and the adults have the other, which was nice since we have been cooped up together so much during the pandemic. Being right on the beach made it nice for me to relax knowing the kids were safe while they played played on the beach. It's location was also close to some good seafood restaurants. And we all enjoyed the hot tub. The only thing that would have made it nicer would be having linens and towels provided by the host as we were constantly wet and sandy from the hot tub and beach.

We visited in the off-season, and loved the experience of this beautiful cottage directly on a beach which we seemed to have all to ourselves. Although the weather was cooler, sitting in the hot tub and staring at the ocean was perfection! The house is beautiful and well maintained, the the location is ideal. Anita was a very responsive host. We'd love to return!

This beach house is fairly basic and isn't very big, but it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. And, being on directly on the waterfront enhances the appeal tremendously. Would definitely recommend.

I spent the week of the election of 2020 in the calm relaxing spell of Gracie's Bell SeaShell with my partner and a friend. The beach home was very comfortable and the location - directly on the beach - was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked for the meals, wine and coffee we consumed while watching the results. I slept each night with the window open to hear the background noise of the surf while I slept. We used the hot tub on the back deck every night which was perfectly placed to view the full moon shining on the Atlantic. It was easy to contact the owner, no problems getting checked in or out. Thanks for the stay!

Truly like staying at your own home! Comfy furniture and beds. Well appointed kitchen! Matching dishes, lots of cooking items, baking items, and dinnerware. All clean and in tip top shape -- a place you feel comfortable cooking and eating. We cooked and ate all meals at home. We slept well and were very comfortable lounging in the living areas. Definitely not a beach house stocked with 'left overs' or 'surplus' items. The deck, the view, and the proximity to the beach are supreme. We enjoyed the hot tub each evening while watching the ocean and star gazing. Comfy chairs on the deck - great place for coffee in the morning. I can't say enough great things about the property. If you are looking for a place that feels as comfortable as home - this is it!
