We loved your home. Thank you! We had a wonderful time with our children and grand children and great grand children. We did some swimming, kayaking, game playing, grilling and cooking. We used the back deck that overlooks the river for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration where we repeated our vows in front of our gamily.

We had a party of 10 in the rental and had more than enough space. We loved the big kitchen and dining room. The home being on the water was our biggest selling point so we could swim. We had room for our 6 trucks to park as well.

Such an easy check in process! This property was perfect for our big families to all stay together while having plenty of our own space. We were very nervous for our stay as we are very “picky”individuals but we 10/10 would recommend this property! Incredible views with easy access to swim in the Guadalupe river and big deck to sit near water! We enjoyed every bit of the water activities provided and surrounding! It was very convenient to float the comal river as well. Would definitely book again for our next trip!

House was nice. Plenty of room for all of us. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen a nice size. Outside was beautiful! The only issue I have is that I wish someone would have gone in before we arrived to pick up all the roaches in the tubs and in the floor.

We stayed here while in Texas to see the eclipse. Good location with easy access to interstate to travel to San Antonio or Austin. We had a group of 4 couples and there was plenty of room for everyone. Great view of river too.

This is a beautiful house with a beautiful backyard right on the water that has lots of picnic areas. The house is very clean and was a great size for our large group. I love the area- close to lots of things to do. I would definitely stay here again!

Over all the home fit our needs for our family trip to the river. The ac in the home, mainly the upstairs was very uncomfortable trying to sleep at night. It did not get below 75* until after around midnight or so, still then it would only cool to 73*, 74*. Only (1) fan was provided for the (2) rooms upstairs. The AC vents down stairs leaked water/condensation the whole time we were there. The home is a much older home with an weird/old smell (very strong) in the stairway inside the home. There are also not outside fans.

Loved the variety of spaces! Sprawling decks overlooking the river. Meandering common areas which accommodate the varied interests, and separate conversations, of a large group. The upstairs master bedroom is huge! Check-in was a cinch, as was check-out.

The house was very convenient to everything we visited. Shirt distance to Schlitterbahn, Comal river tubing, restaurants, and grocery stores. The house is old and needs some updating, but was clean. The air conditioner was set at 70 when we arrived, but read 78. The property manager sent an AC repairman fairly quickly and the problem was resolved, same with a clog in the drain of the upstairs bathroom. The house was roomy for 9 guests. Although we didn’t use them, the property provides kayaks, floats, and life jackets. There is ample parking.

We recently stayed at the home, Texas River Haus, in New Braunfels,Tx. The home couldn’t have been in a better location! We are in a drought in South Texas but there was plenty of refreshing water in the Guadalupe. The home provided kayaks For our enjoyment, and boy where they a big hit with my grandsons and daughters . The older, majestic home was very clean and organized. Such a beautiful property with beautiful trees and greenery plus the home itself had two living rooms, two dining rooms, two kitchens and four relaxing , comfy bedrooms , was more then enough for my small family of Eight . Plenty of room to be all together or for a little privacy. We would definitely stay here again , in fact , as we where packing up to come home my youngest grandson and granddaughter wanted to come back in two weeks and stay in this exact home. It was a wonderful weekend and New Braunfels Escapes helped so much to make it that way ! Thank you for a great end of summer blast!

The home was large and clean with all the needed amenities. It accommodated our group nicely and the game room was well stocked with fun games for all ages. The location was easy to access and close to all we wanted to do in New Braunfels. Our only disappointment was the outdoor space. The furniture was dirty from the trees and weather. The kayaks and life vests were thrown in the cage, dirty, wet and disorganized. I understand that it would be a huge job to maintain the outdoor space, but feel it shouldn't be advertised as a perk to the rental. Being on the river was ideal. Outdoor seating was ample, but needed cleaning before we could use it. Overall, the rental was nice, but the cost was in excess of the quality.

The upstairs air conditioner was poorly arranged. The thermostat was in the bedroom with the one air conditioner and the other far bedroom remained so hot it was unable to be used. A window unit would be great. Otherwise it was great and our grandkids loved the river swing.

The grass was very unsightly when we arrived; the front door was Jammed shut; The premises was hot and never properly cooled despite attempts to remedy from the management company. We were there from July 11 five nights and hot, hot, hot. Only able to really enjoy the premises on one of the five nights we were there. we avoided staying there in the evenings because of the air-conditioning problem. The management company, New Braunfel Escapes was very unprofessional; as was the owner who got involved in the air-conditioning situation. Both the management company and the owner of the premises attempted to shift the blame for the air conditioning problem to me, the unwary traveler. The owner was downright rude. A man named Warren ... Who never once apologized for the extreme inconvenience imposed upon my family in that hot, hot, hot premises. The experience in the premises due to the heat was indescribable. Beware.

It is a large house
To be fair, if you're looking for a house to host a large gathering, say 15 to 18 people, this could be your place. If you're looking for something really nice and in a nice area (where you can't see I-35 traffic from the deck), you probably need to keep looking. The pictures are extremely flattering when compared to "real life." River access from the house is down a very steep slope and actual water access from the doc area is not easy and requires climbing around large concrete blocks (unless the water level were say 4 or 5 feet higher). I had thought that given the pictures and the price, I was booking a very nice property. That's what I was looking for and willing to pay for. The house is serviceable but I should have dug into it a bit deeper. So, if you're looking for a place to hold a river gathering of 7 to 8 people (like I was) you can likely do a lot better for the price by looking elsewhere.

The house was spacious and the yard was enjoyable. We had 4 adults and 7 kids and plenty of room for everyone. The river was low so made the dock area a little more challenging to enter. Enjoyed the deck areas and kayaks. The rental was clean and had everything we needed. Our only complaint is the mattresses were very squeaky and old. A couple of them need to be replaced.
