Very comfy and great location! Enjoyed the wood fireplace and the cabin feel.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here in bar harbor. Great location and so much to do.

Functional cabin but difficult for my husband as he is 6'5''. The cabin is tight in places and as we are over 60, lighting was a problem. The beauty of the area and sightseeing were beyond amazing. the cabin needs some scissors in the utility drawer. Thank goodness I brought my own. We had a little confusion with the check in process but it turned out okay.

A rustic cozy cabin in the woods offering tranquility and water access…it’s exactly what we look for in a Maine vacation. Location can’t be beat. Just a short drive to Bar Harbor for shops and restaurants. Access to the park and carriage trails is convenient.

Was nice and cozy for the week. Just a short walk to the water. You have to drive anywhere else you want to go, that's the only negative thing. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the covered deck in the downpour and just relaxing. Thanks

Perfect location-close to Acadia & downtown Bar Harbor. Kevin was an attentive host & provided great recommendations for meals & activities. My husband and I had a wonderful time relaxing & reconnecting with our teens. We all loved spending evenings down by the water & searching for sea glass. Wonderful vacation had by all!

Cabin is on a quiet road up the hill from the dock and close to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and great lobster shacks. Despite a rainy, cold week, we much enjoyed ourselves.

Despite a rough start with a forgotten reservation and unprepared cabin, we found Kevin to be awesome and accommodating to work with. He and Rachel got the place ready while we did a quick exploration of the area. Enjoyed the location and easy access to everything, the views and exploring the shoreline at low tide. Definitely would recommend staying here.

This property was a great location for getting to hiking trails for wonderful hikes and carriage trails for biking. It was in a location close to the Acadia national park roads. Bar Harbor was just a short drive. We were able to enjoy the ocean from the deck and enjoyed the sunrise with coffee on the deck. The host was great and easy to communicate with. What a great week we had in Acadia.

My husband and I spent the first week of October 2022 at The Pines cabin at Baycliff on Frenchman Bay. The cabin was exactly what we needed - secluded and quiet! It is well-appointed with the basics - we did some simple cooking and had everything we needed. Even though it is tucked in the woods, there is fast wifi, which is a great combination -- we did not use the television setup, but appreciated the wifi for making plans and reservations. Because of the time of year, the nights were cold (30-40 degrees), so we made good use of the wood stove, which heated everything up nicely. We also appreciated the wall heater in the bathroom! The only issue was the lighting (it's a bit dark, though serviceable), which the property owner plans to address. He was very communicative via text at check-in without being intrusive, and we felt comfortable that he would provide or arrange assistance if anything came up. Overall a great place to stay and a wonderful vacation - thank you!

This cabin was the perfect little place to stay. It's location was 10 minutes from Bar Harbor and just a little further to the Acadia visitor center.
The cabin itself was a nice size for me, my wife and 2 dogs. It felt very warm and cozy inside. It had everything we needed and access to the ocean was a 2 minute walk away.
If there was a downside, it was that the walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on around the cabin. But for us that was a very minor inconvenience.
I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed the peaceful, quiet location - pitch black and completely silent every night! And during a couple storms, it was wonderful to listen to raindrops on the roof. True cabin living! The location is ideal for visiting Acadia NP, Bar Harbor, and off-island destinations... just minutes from everything! We were up and out early to beat any traffic, and after long, cool September days, it was great to return to The Pines and those amazing parabolic heaters. Plug them in, turn them on, thaw out instantly. Genius! Kevin is great to deal with, and Jim is on the spot if there is an issue with the cabin.

Nice quiet location on the bay. Easy access to the beach for rock and sea glass hunting. Very near Acadia national park entrance and downtown Bar Harbor. The cabin was just right for us.

Don't let the size fool you -- this property handled our family of 5 (including 16, 13 and 9-year-old boys) with no issues. The kitchen offered everything we needed to cook meals, the internet was fast and reliable and the beds were very comfortable.
Our primary reason for the visit was to see and hike in Acadia, and having an entrance to the park 3 miles from the front door was amazing. Instead of having to pack for an entire day, we could pack for the morning hike, return to the cabin for lunch and a quick refresh and head back into the park for the afternoon.
While we would have loved a washer and dryer in the cabin, we knew going in that it was not an offered amenity. Similarly, it was relatively cool, but humid during our stay, and I missed my air conditioner/dehumidfier, but it was also not a listed amenity. The only real area for improvement is the lighting in the cabin, but the owner/manager has already identified in responses to other comments that he will improve that for next season.
We'll definitely seek this property out again if we return to Acadia/Bar Harbor.

Wonderful place to stay! The host was awesome. The cabin has been recently updated with new appliances, cookware, curtains, etc. They were able to match the cushions (which were updated as well) on the sofa to the curtain. Beautiful rustic cabin with access to Frenchman bay. Our family enjoyed staying here and visiting Acadia and Bar harbor which were within minutes of here. We would definitely stay here in the future!

Good location. I would describe the cabin as “neglected” rather than “rustic.”

Great location! Nice and private. One other cabin and the main house on the property. Enough privacy for us and our two dogs. Cabin is cute, pretty bare bones but what we expected. Biggest complaint was that there wasn't enough lighting in the cabin. Other than that, we were very happy.

What a perfect vacation spot for the 4 of us! The cabin was well equipped and had excellent WiFi. A 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Bonus, our dogs were welcomed, too. The owner was very redponsuve and understsnding.

Stayed for a week with my wife, two kids, and dog. Great location with access to a beach with beautiful rock features. Kevin was a fantastic host with great communication. The cabin was cute and met all of our needs. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting MDI with a small group.

Great cabin in near Bar Harbor
Great place for our family of 4 (kids 8 and 12) and our bloodhound to spend a week exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor. Close to everything but secluded. The new steps down to the water were great for tide pooling and even managed to find one mussel to cook! Would recommend!

Breathtaking vacation
We had the best time in The Pines!!! The cottage was just what we needed. It was set in a quiet woodsy area with a 2 minute walk to an open water wonderland!!!! Very peaceful. The cottage was clean and comfortable. It did get a little chill at night but nothing crazy!!! We didn't mind that at all. The owner and property manager were very easy to work with and get ahold of if we needed them. I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed here the week before MDW. The cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and very close to the entrance to Acadia as well as Bar Harbor. So nice to have coffee on the deck in the morning and be able to sit on the dock and relax. Perfect cabin and the wood burning stove kept us warm!

This delightful cabin is rustic, as the owner warns, but has all the comforts you need. I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and I loved sitting out on the deck, surrounded by trees--very peaceful and private. We had a couple of chilly nights, but there were plenty of comforters to keep you warm at night and the heaters took the chill out of the air, All in all, a fantastic stay.

Quiet and Cozy
Our family had a lovely week at the Pines. The cabin is small, but had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. We had some cool temps during the week, so we used the wood burning stove and it heated the whole place up quickly! Acadia is so beautiful and this little cabin is very close to Bar Harbor and the main attractions of the park. We enjoyed our stay!

Awesome place
The Pines is a great place to stay. It is clean and has everything you need to enjoy your trip. It feels like home. It is also in a quiet neighborhood. You can walk down the driveway and enjoy the ocean from the deck. Kevin the owner is great! Bar Harbor is about 10 minutes away and the park is 8 minutes away.

Pictures shown are very accurate. The kitchen was stocked with new pots and pans and everything you need to make simple meals. We made breakfast each day and a couple dinners. The shower had lots of hot water, even after 4 of us showering! This cabin is at the top of the driveway, so to sit on the deck overlooking the water, it is a little bit of a walk down but well worth it. We had amazing sunrise and sunset views. It would’ve been awesome if the steps were fixed to have the water access, but we walked down a couple streets to where Kevin told us we could access it. We even ended up parking down there and put our kayaks in to go see ‘the ovens’ which are not very far to the left of the property. You could walk there at low tide. The location was perfect, outside of the craziness but close enough to either drive into Bar harbor (about 8-10 min), or even off the island to Walmart and a few of the Lobster Pounds that we felt were a better price. We took our dog and it was perfect for him to hang out and use the yard area. Kevin was very accommodating and when I had questions he answered my texts quickly. He also checked in to make sure everything was okay. I would definitely stay here again. It’s not a super fancy place, if that is what you are looking for, but it had everything we needed.
