The Gulf Dunes was a great family friendly place to stay. The Sunset Resort Rentals folks were quick to answer any questions. We called about a patio door and they sent someone that day. It was easy to book and pay. Thanks, Rhonda and Sheila!

Highly recommend Gulf Dunes 217 condo! The condo was clean and we had plenty of room. The view was amazing. The pool was very close and so was the beach. My parents who have a hard tome walking distance were able to go to the beach and pool each day! We cooked breakfast in condo every morning. The cookware was nice!
We did have a small issue with the sliding glass door and made a phone call. They immediately had a repairman out to look at it. The people with Sunset Rentals were great to work with!
I'm glad we found this nice beautiful condo for our family vacation. Our family vacations each year have always been in the panhandle and this is our favorite condo!

The high rise is on the beach with a small dune between the water and building. The walk to the beach is short and the sand is beautiful. Reserved chairs and umbrella was nice and the workers were friendly. Plenty of local restaurants a short drive away or easy walk down the beach. Master bedroom was nice and comfortable. My 3 teen girls shared the other two rooms without too much fighting. It was good to have 3 bathrooms for my family.

Property was exactly as advertised, and the beach was beautiful. The condo was in great shape, and despite some previous negative reviews that I read about cleanliness, the place was very clean and bright. Amenities were great, restaurants and grocery were all within about mile, and Destin is just a short trip away. Definitely will try to stay here again !

Don't let photos deceive you. The room looks nice in photos. Upon further inspection,it was filthy.
Overall: All of the floors had to be reswept. They were covered in sand. It was evident they had not been swept or mopped. The mirrors in the main living area were streaked terribly. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The glass door leading to the covered balcony was also nasty. There were so many handprints and smudges on the walls and doors that just need to be wiped down good.
The first room to the right had dust on the furniture and under the furniture. The floors were so dirty, I didn't want to take my shoes off. The bathtub leaked into the floor during each use. (It was not due to the shower curtain being used improperly, it was inside the tub with each use.) The floor had to be wiped after each shower. The mirror on the wall was smudged with finger prints.
The bedroom to the left was about the same state as the other. That bathroom had a dirty sink. The shower had dirty sand in it from previous renter. The floors were dirty in these two rooms as well.
The main bath and bedroom were ok other than the floors and glass doors.
The kitchen was clean other than the floors and the pantry door.
The living area was clean other than the windows(interior side), mirror wall, and floors. The pull out sofa was full of crumbs.
The room was located in a nice beach side resort with nice pools and decent beach access. Parking was great and no issues. Resort was easy to get in and out of. Employee that I spoke with on the phone after booking was very nice and helpful.
The only downfall was cleanliness. I would not stay here again.

This condo was perfect in every way. The decor was calming and perfectly tuned to a beach setting. Everything from the furniture, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, etc were new and of good quality which we definitely appreciated. The rooms are spacious. There is a bathroom for each bedroom which is perfect when having a few guests. The furniture on the balcony was great as we could see over the railing and enjoy the view of the gulf. Gulf Dunes is a very well maintained building. The pool, the outrageously beautiful beach, the spectacular sunrises and sunsets are all part of the experience at Gulf Dunes. We've already reserved this condo for next year!

This property exceeded our expectations!
The view of the Gulf was amazing and it was nice to sit on the patio to take it all in.
Watching the dolphins swim was a highlight for sure! The condo was well stocked and had everything we needed for our 8 night stay. It was nicely decorated with comfortable beds and furniture.
The location was perfect as it was in a quieter area than Destin yet just a short drive away if you wanted to head out and explore.
We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this amazing property!

Gulf Dunes Unit 217
This was my 3rd year staying in this unit and we have always been more than pleased. The unit is well stocked with essential items. The location is excellent with restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store that is very close. We enjoy the covered parking space. But best of all, the unit is always exceptionally clean. We will continue to rent this unit when vacationing on Okaloosa Island.

But with an ocean view - being from Illinois this is a must and such a treat! We've stayed in this condo previously. It's lovely - 3 full bedrooms & bathrooms make it convenient & comfortable for everyone. Roy especially liked the recliners in the living room facing the ocean!

Beautiful and immaculate
What a great place. It had everything we needed. I especially loved the decor. At first the mirror wall was curious but then, from the kitchen the reflection gave the appearance of ocean as far as you could see. Very cleaver and beautiful. We watched the sunset and listened to the ocean every day. It was wonderful.

Condo 217 Gulf dunes
Vacationed there September 11-18, condo was wonderful, so close to the beach, balcony excellent to see dolphins swimming by. Condo was comfortable for our group of 5. Only issue was internet was a little slow or spotty. This is my 2nd time vacationing at this condo, I plan on coming back to it again. Sunset Vacation rentals made everything super easy from reservations, payments,check in and check out. Definitely recommend them for anyone planning a vacation in Destin and Fort Walton area.

Family Vacation Gulf Dunes 217
We visited the week of July 17-24, 2021.
The unit was just as advertised. 3 br 3 ba. One king, one queen, two twins. 3 bathrooms. Unit was clean and kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, silverware, dishes. Unit A/C stayed nice and cold the whole week! Beach access was great. Unit on second living floor, first floor was parking deck. Elevators never broke down but with only 2 flights of stairs, we didn't use them much. Assigned Parking spot in parking deck was definitely a plus. Very nice to have free beach service of two chairs and an umbrella. Only a few minor issues reported at check in. (Light bulb out, drawer knob pulled off, etc) Nothing major. All in all, one of the best stays in the 25 years of Florida vacations. Will definitely return. Thank you.

Family Beach Trip
The view from the condo is wonderful. It's so nice to have the umbrella and chairs each day. The condo is so spacious with plenty of room for everyone. The management company responded quickly and was very helpful.

The condo was a good choice for our group. The 3 bathrooms were especially nice. Our only complaint was the doors to balcony from master bedroom were very difficult to open. This should be addressed very soon. The location was very good as we could walk to restaurants. For the price of the condo I think beach chairs should be included for all guests at no additional charge.

Great place to stay!
It was perfect for our family of four on a spring break trip. Beach was wonderful, saw dolphins from the balcony, and a lot to do close by. Complex was very quiet. Dryer broke down during the week, we texted, and it was fixed the same day! Very impressed by response. Only downfall for the property was no hot tub to jump in after swimming in cool Gulf. Minor issue, otherwise a perfect place to stay.

Great beachfront condo!!
Great beachfront condo in Ft. Walton. It has everything we needed for a weeks stay. The master had a balcony that opened to beach side and you could hear the waves at night. Was perfect. There are two beach chairs and umbrella service included in rental. Pools were nice with one being heated. Overall would certainly stay here again!!

Perfect quick getaway
Property is exactly as advertised and met all expectations. The unit was clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Views are great and beach access is close and easy. Close to restaurants and Publix. Only two issues were the wifi(it was very spotty during our entire stay) and the furniture needs to be updated. Overall, great stay and would absolutely book again.

Great Vacation!
We had a group of 5 adults for our stay and everything was great! We loved the balcony and the seating out there, the living room had great seating for us all, the seperate bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. Overall a really fantastic vacation spot. The space was clean, the parking was fine, we were surprised to find blow driers and curling irons, and a blender! Our only issue was the dishwasher seems to not be cleaning well, but we just did dishes by hand. Not a problem for us!

Spring Break-Family Vacation
We love the condo. We enjoyed every moment that we was there. The best moment was drinking coffee with my husband early morning outside the patio and watching the dolphins from the balcony. Everybody was friendly. Highly recommended

Great stay!
We have 4 kids under the age of 5 and we stayed in this condo for a week recently. It was very easy and convenient for our family to access and enjoy all the amenities nearby. The condo itself was clean and well appointed. The beach and ocean view was spectacular! We loved having our own umbrella and chairs each day. The pool was right under our balcony and wasn't too crowded to our delight! Everything is a stroll or a short drive away! I will stay here again.
