We had the best time at this little house! It’s so small and quaint and perfect for a couple! We love walking around the street and sitting out by the water. I highly recommend this little house. It’s an older house, but it was very clean and kept up nice.

My son just graduated HS & we joined 2 other families for an adventure in the Keys. They stayed at Parmers walking distance down the road & we stayed here. Everything about our stay was truly wonderful. A beautiful place to sit by the water & read my book/drink my coffee every morning. Great location in-between Marathon and Key West. Right around the corner from Captain Hook’s where we went on 2 snorkeling adventures. Kiki’s Sandbar is walking distance, too! The only thing I’d want improved was the cleanliness of the kitchen drawers & cabinets. I had to remove everything from the utensil drawer & wash its contents, including the utensil organizer & the inside of the drawer when we got there. It was super gross. All the cabinets could use a wipe-down inside & out. Of course I didn’t do that, being on vacation & paying for the stay & all. I made it good enough for me to not be icked out & was able to greatly enjoy our stay. Truly everything else about our stay was fantastic. We had so much fun!

Place was adequate

The cottage was small but efficient for two people. The porch has a day bed but it would be too hot to use. It was clean and provided the necessary items. The ac did not seem not too cool but they did work. There is easy water access and chair sit and enjoy the water. I would stay here again.

Pleasant cottage in the keys. Everything was clean, centrally located in the islands a d a stones throw from looe key dive center. Easy check in with a small kitchen. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter and I went skydiving for the first time. The unit we stayed in was perfect for the 2 of us.

The house was a nice size for a couple. Bathroom took a little getting used to, but it has everything you need. The area was quiet, and a great launch point for exploring the surrounding Keys. It was nice to be able to walk to Kiki's in the evening and have a drink and listen to music!

Cottage was just as described. Comfortable and clean. Right in the middle of the lower half of the Keys, with Key West 30 miles south and Marathon Key 30 miles north, easy access to everything.

Incredible low key cottages. Looking for a fancy resort? Go elsewhere. Looking for comfort, fun and a great Island? Stay here.

We stayed in this cute little place April 13-17, 2024. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. To start off, communication with the host was great. She responded to any questions in a very timely manner. Check in was super simple! I used to be in the hotel industry, so i am very picky when it comes to cleanliness. The place was spotless, everything neat and clean!
There was an AC unit in the living room and in the bedroom. Both worked great and kept the place very comfortable. This was in April, so its not as hot as it gets in the summer months outside, but it still was in the lower 80's in the day and house stayed cool.
We had our 16ft Scout boat with us, which we pulled on a trailer. There was plenty of room to park it, and the boat ramp was only a mile away which was awesome! There isnt a lot of parking at that ramp, so if you decide to use it, get there early!
The yard area close to the water is nice. We did a little vow renewal out there in the evening and it worked out beautifully!
This cottage is the one closest to the street, which was fine. However, next time i hope to rent the one closer to the water so can see the ocean out the sliding glass doors. I think that one is a little bigger too.
This is a quaint little Keys cottage. No frills or fancy smancy stuff, so if youre looking for that, stay at a resort. However, if you want clean, quiet, private and not over the top expensive, this little place is for you! We thoroughly enjoyed it

Upon arrival and checking the property out I found it was pretty much exactly as described. Great for a 2 night stay to have a base so we could spend the day in Key West. The only issues we had, and nothing was really a deal breaker, was we found a few active ants. We did find some ant spray under the counter that took care of that issue. Also, the bathroom windows had no kind of covering at all. Whatever would be shining inside the bathroom would also be shining outside the bathroom window. We bought a small roll of tin foil at Winn Dixie and covered the windows ourselves. The issue that we had a harder time dealing with was the A/C. There was two small 110v window units that, in my opinion, just couldn't keep up. I'm glad we were staying in March instead of the summer months. The vrbo would heat up during the day and the two units just couldn't cool it down adequately in the evening and night. But then again we are used to sleeping in 68° bedrooms. Overall, I can't complain too much. I will say we would probably stay here again except not during the summer. I really felt awful for the family across the road. The night before we were leaving evidently their house caught fire. Firemen and fire trucks were out there from early morning until after we left, which was about 4:30 in the morning.

Unit was Decent. Needed a complete cleaning, lots of dust. Some kitchen products were not clean. Of the three frying pans in the cabinet, one that was ribbed was dirty, the other two were scratched badly and unusable. No rug in under bathroom sink. After a shave it was slick as wet ice. Had to buy a frying pan to make breakfast, and some cheap rugs so as not to fall on my ass.Folks in other unit never took out trash, cans all full and overflowing. Nice place, needs better management.

I have to admit that after reading a few of the reviews of previous patrons, that I was a little hesitant about what I might find when we arrived. So let me tell you of our overall impression and stay,.. there are 2 very cozy cottages on a nicely maintained lot, one just off the road and the other behind.. we were in the one closest to the street. We found it easily, and everything was as described by the owner, (who was super sweet and easy to get ahold of and extremely helpful and nice).. this is a secluded set of cottages away from the hustle and bustle of what is now the mainstay of the Florida keys. So if you want to be in the thick of things so to speak, this may not be your cup of tea, but with that being said, a very short walk up the road to Kiki's Sandbar and you will find live music and drinks and dancing (its a large facility but get there early before it gets packed).. and the location on Little Torch Key was for us, the perfect distance from Key West and all the other things that we wanted to explore while here. The cottage was extremely clean and was very relaxing, with everything we needed except our food.. which was a short drive away. So, if you want a condo on the beach with everything that goes with it, stay there... but if you want a lovely little cottage off the beaten path where you can relax and unwind and enjoy some old Florida charm,... then don't let the nay sayers in the reviews keep you from a nice, clean, affordable place to stay in the Keys...😉

Everything you need for an overnight stay. Kitchen was well equipped. It was clean enough but there were ants in the bathroom. Looks like it just needs a good spraying.
We would have appreciated better blinds in the bedroom to allow longer sleeping in the morning but the sun was nice too.
We enjoyed our stay over all and this little cottage is very reasonably priced for the area.

The modest outward appearance hides the charming interior…warm and comfey with just a few negatives…first, from the outside, the collection of garbage find is unattractive and the first thing you see…inside was clean and warm looking but cold temperature…I guess you don’t need heat down here, but it is cold this week and we were trying to find heating controls: there us none…only upon packing up did we find a small space heater in a closet.
One more thing: please find some privacy curtains for the bathroom windows..

Perfect place to stay if you're looking for laid back! Enjoyed the walkable neighborhood and Kiki's Sandbar

Location was perfect, the listing is very accurate, but needs some deep cleaning

The fan in the living room not working. The windows did not open. Most did not have screens.

The property and amenities were not of high standard but were clean and passable. The bathroom was terribly small and opened into the living room. The spare room was extremely hot. There were still tools and supplies in the bedroom closet.

Cozy cottage in a nice location exactly as described in the listing! Has two cottages side by side so would be great for families wanting to travel together. Enjoyed a peaceful sunrise on the water. Will definitely return.

Our third time staying at this cottage, and we’re always so pleased with the combination of the feel of old school Florida and the fact that it’s such a great value. A/c works great, king-size bed is pretty comfortable and enough kitchen supplies to cook a meal. Also a brand new grill where you can barbecue while looking at the water. If you don’t feel like cooking, Kiki’s Sandbar is a great bar/restaurant within walking distance. Great alternative to paying $600/night in Key West! A+++

There were a few things that need fixed. There were screws sticking out of the wall where a towel holder used to be that are at head level.
As others said, the bed was not very comfy. The air conditioners are loud and can make watching tv a little difficult.
However, the kitchen and appliances all work great, the water pressure is outstanding and the water is HOT.
Definitely a house for just 1 or 2 people.

Decent location but lacked some amenities. Only one roll of toilet paper; paint supplies in the middle of the closet along with spiderwebs and dead flies; kitchen supplies could be updated and expanded (eg matching dinnerware, more glassware & kitchen utensils). Towels and linens were nice.
4.1
We arrived to the property after check-in time and the property was still left dirty with towels on the floor and beds unmade from the last guests. The owner said that she would make it right by buying us a drink while it was cleaned but never did. The entry room with the second bed is not air conditioned, making it impossible to sleep there in the summer. The rest was fine and we got by for the time we were there.

Nothing fancy, close to fishing and a few restaurants

Great stay for the price . I loved that little cottage .

The property was perfect for my son and I for a 3 day fishing trip. Cottage was very clean but not spotless. Plenty of space for us to park our car with small boat trailer. Susan was very responsive. Thanks

Nice property on the inside

the place was a total wreck outside. I am embarrassed to show the pics of the place. They were "renovating" but nothing told us to expect that. The inside was ok, but in a state of moderate disrepair. Plan on bringing everything you may need, only the bare minimum there not even coffee filters. No extras like board games or cards for when it is raining. The mattress was sagging in the middle and we woke up with sore backs. The host said she had a new mattress and had planned on changing it out, which she supposedly did saying we had a "new mattress" when we were out on the water the second day. Turns out it was not a new mattress but fixed the box spring and covered the old mattress so we wouldn't know? It was little better and since we were only there a couple days we put up with it but we won't do that again. If you can, spend the extra money, there has to be nicer places. We didn't expect the Ritz but wow!
4.1
It was very quiet and we was left to ourselves which is what we wanted. The bed wad very broke down in need of replacement, so we struggled to sleep. Housekeeping needs improvement. But it was cheap. You get what you pay for. Property owner was very nice and quick to respond, but we wouldn't stay again.

The rental was as advertised with the exception of wifi, too much rubbish in yard, and a nasty broken gas grill. As soon as you went in the cottage door, wifi was lost. Could only get my Netflix on the tv, nothing else. Notified the owner, said she would come the next morning, never heard back.
4.1
Bad curb appeal. Still under construction
4.1
Located next to the best restaurant within miles , its not the ritz so if your into that life spend more money . But if you are ok with a cozy clean little spot close to everything this couldnt be better. Plenty of parking , very clean inside

If you are looking for a perfect little rustic cabin with a beautiful view of the gulf then here is your place. The furniture was very coastal and cabin like with full kitchen. A nice place to get away and relax. Any issues were handled by management right away.

Internet was not available for the entire stay. Bought $30. worth of bug killing paraphernalia to rid the place of a constant barrage of ants and Palmetto bugs. The property was flooded from a high tide and took most of the week to subside and dry out. The pictures were exactly as shown and the appliances all worked. The only other nuisance was the three noisy AC units that had to run constantly to keep the place cool. Very nice and quiet neighborhood and despite the annoyances it was a good price to stay there.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE TRIP SEEMINGLY PERFECT

We went away to chill from a busy life. The house is 1 bedroom and a kitchen/family room. In addition it here is a daybed in front sun room. The cabin is old. Repairs are needed but that didn’t stop us from chilling. I encourage the owner to do outdoor renovations before she rents to others.
