It was an outstanding three nights stay. Proximity to beach was great. Only issue we had was the outside light in the adjacent room was left on after the previous people left and it shined in on our son's bed. But that is a very minor issue and definitely would not keep us from booking in again. Thank you for allowing to stay in such a nice house.

This efficiency was perfect for the three of us, right on the beach. We didn’t spend a lot of time inside because the weather was beautiful!

You honestly never have to get back in your car once you arrive. You have access to anything you could need stores, restaurants and of course steps from the beach. Owners saved us by booking us last minute due to issues with our travel plans and they are great with commissions. The unit was spotless and so cute and cozy. We loved every moment there and truly hated to leave.

Great location, very close to the beach very clean had everything that we needed with the exception of a comfortable bed, and condiments, like salt and pepper. This unit comes 2 queen beds, we tried both of them. We never got a decent night’s sleep while we were there because these mattresses were so uncomfortable. We both tossed and turned every night and ended up leaving a day early because we just didn’t want to spend one more night getting no sleep. They are EXTREMELY FIRM, spring coil mattresses. If you’re into that, then you’ll love it.

Crystal Shores is a lovely cottage on the beach. This is my second stay at the property and I enjoyed my stay again just as much as my first visit. My only disappointment was the I was unable to speak to Gracie at the property management company. I called twice and left a message with no return call. When the property owner’s were running things they were always prompt with replies. I will stay again.

As other reviewers have stated, the mattresses are incredibly uncomfortable. They have a very thin foam mattress pad that does absolutely nothing. My friend and I both woke up with back pain. That being said, the location is fantastic! Right on the beach, and right down the street from the boardwalk where we could walk to eat and explore. Great place to stay for a weekend!

The ease of access to the beach is great The necessities were provided amd parking was right by our place. The beds were a little hard but otherwise great place!

We would stay there again. Nice cozy place . Very clean! Great shower! The toaster needs to be replaced, only toasts on one side. Easy fix. The tv needs to be checked. It kept going off & on intermittently for no reason. The heater/cooling unit didn’t respond to remote. It got quite warm at night . Maybe we didn’t know how to use it . Written instructions would be nice. Loved the ceiling fans

We very much enjoyed our stay. There is a view of the ocean sitting out on the porch. It’s the perfect place for a morning coffee :) We had everything we needed during our stay: easy check in (keyless, code lock), convenient parking onsite, clean bathroom, clean shower, clean kitchen stocked with plates, bowls, cups, oven pans, etc, clean beds, and very easy access to the beach (steps away). The only room for improvements would be softer mattresses on the beds and maybe basic spices in the kitchen (salt and pepper, etc).

Kure Beach is a beautiful and quaint beach town. It's just minutes away from Fort Fisher which is a must to visit. Jack Mackerel, a great place to eat, is right around the corner. We were pleasantly surprised that we could check into our unit early. Check in was friendly and quick. Unit was clean and cozy. Our unit faced the parking lot so it wasn't exactly oceanfront, but access to beach was right there. It was chilly the weekend we stayed so we got a little cold in the evenings because we couldn't get the heating unit to turn on. Other than that, we had a great time. We would definitely love to stay again!

Mattresses are terrible! Didn’t sleep well at all.

This was my second stay at this wonderful location. Everything was clean and updated. Beautiful area right off beach. Owners always nice and helpful. Plan on staying again.

Location was great! Few steps to the beach. Room was clean and very nicely updated. Only thing I would change is the mattress. . The bed near the bathroom is Hard as a rock.

I thought we had oceanfront, sadly not the case.

My husband and I loved this property. Owners were great and easy to work with. The cutest little place that is perfect for two! Very convenient ocean access and private parking!

Most things about the property I could give a very high rating, but there were two things that made me not want to rent again. One is the internet service was terrible, and I needed it while away. For people who don’t need it, it’s not a big deal. It rained most of our stay, and I woke up to it raining on me during the night. Thankfully there was a second bed in the unit and we just moved to it during the night. We reported both situations and nothing was offered to compensate for it. Otherwise the hosts were nice, always asked how we were and offered extra towels. Waking up to rain while in bed made this a one and done place for me to stay.

My daughters and I spent 2 lovely nights here, and it wasn't near long enough! Our unit was exceptionally clean and smelled wonderful. It's an open room concept, with 2 queen beds and a small couch looking into the kitchen/eating area. I really appreciated the ceiling fans and the air conditioner worked great. They even provided a start-up package of toilet paper, paper towel, bath soaps and dish washing soap - very much appreciated! My girls and I can't wait to come back next year! Thank you, John and Crystal, for providing a fabulous place at the beach!

Overall a nice stay. Wonderful location and clean unit. The only complaints were that fresh towels were not provided daily and the AC unit was a small portable unit that took up floor space and struggled to keep the room cool. The average temp in the room was 80.

We loved the studio right on the oceanfront! Nothing like walking out your door and onto the beach. Great place for couples to retreat at Kure Beach.

We had the best time!! It was close to everything the host was very helpful!! We couldn’t ask for anything more . We loved every minute of it! We highly recommend it.

The location is great, easy beach access and within walking distance to pier and restaurants. First the pictures on line are exactly the way the room looks but they have eliminated the portable a/c unit vented out of the front window. I found this very annoying as it took up quite a bit of valuable space and did nothing to cool or circulate the air in the bathroom which was extremely uncomfortable after showering. A small window unit in the rear window would be more practical. Now let me also say this was by far the cleanest rental (and as I travel for work so that’s a large #) that I have ever stayed in! I could not find any dirt with the exception of the shower curtain liner which was in need of replacement. I know the info says accommodates 4 but unless you are on intimate terms with the other 3 you might want to stick with 2. Very close quarters for 4 adults and then there’s the bathroom situation! It was a mom/daughter few days and we really enjoyed the quaint, cozy room. One last thing that needs to be covered in description is parking, when you pull in you are so overjoyed that you can park right in front of your room only to find out that you can’t! All paved lot is paid parking only and you will be ticketed or towed. Very confusing but luckily John showed up and instructed me where to park. Very close and a designated spot! We enjoyed our stay and I can not stress enough just how clean this room was and I for one, post COVID year really appreciate it!

This rental was perfect for my two friends and I on our reunited ladies beach trip. The space was open, clean, and right on the beach. Would highly recommend!

Check-in was seamless. Apartment was well-appointed. Kitchen well-stocked with essentials. Very convenient access to the beach. It was a lovely vacation.
