We enjoyed our stay. It was a great getaway for us for a relaxing weekend.

It was so peaceful and homey. I didn’t want to leave. Seeing the moon reflecting on the lake was beautiful. The cabin was clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend staying at this cabin. Plus there is fish in the lake. Not all lakes actually have fish.

My wife and I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in this comfy little cabin on Watauga lake. The hot tub was fully functional and clean as described. The bed was super comfortable. Cabin had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. The area was very peaceful. A couple very nice wineries are minutes away. Would come back to this place again!

This cabin is the perfect getaway. Beautiful, secluded location that feels like home the moment you walk through the door! No cell service but the wifi worked great. We hope to come back again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay. The host is one of the good ones...you'll find all the little extras - soaps, lotion, shampoo, cleaning products, basic spices, a first aid kit, and laundry detergent - all the things that come in handy for travelers! The linens all looked brand new and the mattress was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the kayaks and were happy to find life vests available. The a/c was perfect and the wifi signal strong. It was a perfect weekend for my husband, pup, and I.

Perfect location and tools for a perfect getaway.

This was just what my husband and I needed. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy the water, boat, kayak, or swim and relax in the evening this is the perfect place. One thing I suggest if you don't want to go back out, stop on your way in to get groceries, the closest town with a grocery store is Mountain City about a 20 min drive. It's a beautiful drive though. :)

The property was very clean and the location is remote if you want to get away from it all for a while.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the tranquility at the cabin. We boated for several days on the lake (rented Brenda’s pontoon). Was able to fish right off the dock and loved the lower deck where we sat in the afternoons and enjoyed a cocktail. Cabin was very clean and we plan to stay at their other cabin next year!

This place is perfect for couples unplugging from the fast-paced world and looking only to connect with each other. It is clean, simple, private, and peaceful. We loved it!

We had such a lovely stay here and can’t wait to come back again! The location is perfectly secluded in nature and the easy walk down to the dock allowed us to enjoy the lake to the fullest. The small cabin had everything you could need for cooking in and relaxing comfortably. Thank you to our hosts who who had excellent communication and recommendations.

Beautiful lake and mountains. Super cute lake house with fabulous outdoor living spaces. You can rent boats from local marinas. Villa Nove vineyard is close by and is stunning.

My partner and I shared a 3-night, romantic getaway over New Year’s Eve at the lake cabin. Accommodations were perfect, and we really enjoyed star gazing while soaking in the hot tub. Great view of the lake, and good opportunities for hiking nearby.

Toes across America thank you for putting cushions on the bed legs! Really need some knobs on the stove that can be read! You can’t tell what the settings are.

Perfect cabin for 2 with a lake view and lake access. This property is a hidden gem.

This is a "tiny house"--absolutely perfect for a couple, with a rare and wonderful access to Watauga Lake and a lower deck right over the water where we spent most of our time. Everything you need is provided, including a great hot tub, which I had forgotten all about until we got there. It, too, overlooks the lake. Another couple joined us twice just for the day, as they live not far from the cabin, and the four of us chilled out. If you like wine, the wines at Watauga Lake Winery and Villa Nove Vineyards are really surprisingly good, and the view at the vineyard is outstanding. We were fortunate to have nearly perfect weather. While swimming, we were startled by inquisitive minnows! We have a smaller SUV and were able to turn it around in the driveway, so as to avoid backing out. A larger car wouldn't be able to do that. Our friends parked up by the road. The coffee pot uses ground coffee, not pods, so be sure to bring it if you drink coffee. Loved our stay.

We had a wonderful time at this well designed and well decorated lake cabin. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, decks, fire pit and kayaks. We saw two bald eagles fly over us as we kayaked!

This property is a neat little gem on the lake and the owner was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole experience. It is a very nicely laid out small cabin with a great view of the lake. The family really enjoyed the use of the kayaks, jacuzzi and the ability to fish off of the dock. If you are in to cat fishing you are nearly guaranteed to pull in a big one off that dock but bring a strong pole with a strong line. They are big ones. Brenda was very helpful throughout the rental process and the instructions she gave for everything at the cabin were perfect. The family loved the place and if we end of back in the area would definitely rent again.

Great place to get away for 2 people. The outside decks and hot tub were perfect, as were the views. It is a very beautiful lake and the option to rent a pontoon boat from the owner made it very easy to enjoy.

This tiny cabin was perfect for two. Everything was very clean and the amenities were so nice. The furniture was comfortable and we had everything needed to enjoy a long weekend. The only downside was the shower. My partner is 6'8" so the small shower was a bit of a challenge for him, but we saw it in the pictures and knew it was going to be a risk. Everything else was so well thought out. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay here!

Wonderful place! It's small but just enough for a couple or small family. The decks are lovely!

Great location on the lake! The cabin is small but efficiently laid out. Comfortable bed, nice towels, good Wi-Fi. The decks are great for enjoying the lake view, and the kayaks were a great way to explore this finger of the lake.

This is one of our favorite stays ever. It just might be the most peaceful place we have ever visited. So relaxing and yet so much to see and do in the area. Brenda and Tim are fantastic hosts, and having access to kayaks, the pontoon boat, and the hot tub made this visit extra special. We rode the lake stem to stern and didn’t see another spot we liked better. Being up in the trees with lovely cool breezes was magical! We were so comfortable in the cabin. It had everything we needed and the two decks and dock area were amazing! Thank you Tim and Brenda for having us!

Brenda and Tim have a gem of a place perched over a secluded finger of Watauga Lake. Everything was as expected and Brenda and Tim maintained excellent communication to make sure we had everything we needed. We recommend splurging for the boat rental. The lake is definitely worth exploring (there are several small cove great for swimming and fishing). We're looking forward to bringing the family back here in the future.

My husband and I booked this sweet little gem last minute due to some unforseen circumstances in our original plans. Brenda made the rental and check in process very simple. The cabin was super clean, which we really appreciated, and very well stocked. We really loved hanging out on the multiple decks just relaxing and enjoying the views. The bed / pillows were really comfortable as well. We rented the boat for 2 days and explored the lake, fished, and went swimming. We enjoyed the hot tub and stargazing at night was beautiful. This place is a little out of the way which is exactly what we wanted. Lots of privacy. You can tell these owners really care about their guests and have thought of everything. P.S. Brenda, the air got a little cool at night and I appreciated the very warm/soft blanket. We can't wait to come back!

This is a delightful rustic cabin with top notch amenities for a super comfortable stay. Plenty of hot water and water pressure, amazingly comfortable memory foam bed, cozy heating (we stayed in cool, rainy April), fully functional kitchen, ample hooks for hanging all your stuff. Soaking in the hot tub overlooking the lake was a favorite activity. The host was super responsive to all our questions and completely open about the status of all the amenities, such as a couple things about the driveway/parking and accessing the dock--not a problem at all for us, but might be if you have physical limitations. Definitely recommend!

Property was on a hill over looking a lake. Was out of the way of everything. You're in the middle of no wear and its perfect.
