This home was perfect for what we were looking for, close to Alpine/Palisades and located near grocery stores/restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the central heating kept the house warm. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of towels. The only thing that would make this place even better would maybe be to update the pots/pans. Some of them were very warn out, and could not be used to cook with. Other than that, we would book again and enjoyed our stay. Thanks Matthew for the booking!

This home was in the perfect location for a ski trip at Alpine and Palisades, easy drive to the resort and walkable into town. We really enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and lake views after ski days along with the large comfortable seating to relax.

Good parking and good amenities! The place doesn’t have as many beds as the listing says, so we had some sleeping arrangement issues. Other than that I would definitely come back here again!

We had a family girls trip with 6 adults. This was a great location and we could easily walk to great restaurants, shops and the lake. House was super clean & comfortable. Highly recommended!

Plenty of room and walking distance to everything Tahoe City

Tahoe in summer is my happy place. My family really enjoyed this location, especially me who loved my morning walk to Syd’s. It’s a very peaceful neighborhood as well. Remember to bring your own beach towels. Enjoy!

We had been to Lake Tahoe only once before and it was 15 years ago. We stayed near Heavenly during that trip, so we were unfamiliar with the different communities/areas around the lake. I thought being in Tahoe City would be nice/what we wanted, but it wasn't. You are in a neighborhood and the houses are very close to you (like, VERY close), which means no privacy. The street is steep, so when you're on the rooftop deck you're literally staring into one neighbor's backyard watching their kids playing (not ideal) and you're at window-level with the neighbor on the other side (which means they're staring at you). Deck access is via either of the two upstairs bedrooms (not ideal), but worse yet, there is no place to sit outside at ground level. The "front door" is through the garage, so you can't really step outside easily (there is a back door blocked by a high chair and a side door in the mudroom, but they just lead to a tiny gravel backyard with no seating). You have to set up the deck top patio yourself - it will not look like the pictures when you arrive. And then you have to take it all down at the end of your stay. I've rented dozens of homes and never had to do this before. What we were really wanting is to be able to sit outside and eat lunch - but we'd have to carry our food/drinks upstairs, through a bedroom (this is after we set up the patio), and it just didn't seem worth it. Also, while the listing does say this, the rooftop patio is off-limits at 9pm. I missed this in the listing (my fault). Because of this, we never used the hot tub. The home is full of personal photos (I've never had a rental home with personal photos) and personal belongings/clothing in the closets. The bedding is very dated/used and needs refreshed. The mattress on the first floor bed is TERRIBLE. My husband and I couldn't wait to get home. We both agreed it was the worst mattress we've ever had at a rental. None of the bedrooms had dressers, so we couldn't unpack our suitcases. Kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed to cook a few meals at home. We wished we had stayed elsewhere. If you want to be in Tahoe City (which does have some perks...close to the grocery store, restaurants/bars, easy walk to the lake), and you don't mind being right next to other homes, this house might work for you. It lacked the outdoor spaces and privacy we were wanting for our vacation.

We had a lovely weekend in Tahoe City and at Matt’s cabin. The deck was a great place to hang out and the cabin is walking distance to town. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed. We also enjoyed the unique art found all around the cabin! I would definitely stay again and recommend to families or couples.

We had 3 couples comfortably stay at this property. The hot tub was a plus for sure!

We had a great time at Matt's property in Tahoe City. We were three couples, attending a wedding at West Shore Cafe and this was a great home base. Was stocked with everything we needed, and the hot tub was a great added bonus! Location is walkable to Tahoe City restaurants, and to the lake! Matt was very communicative and easy to get a hold of. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice Tahoe getaway.

We loved the hot tub, and enjoyed having everything we needed (dishes, pots, pans) for an early Christmas dinner since we wouldn't see my brother's family over Christmas. We needed a rental suv to take us to the lifts... although there is a ski shuttle from the transportation center in Tahoe City, we didn't use it because it was a bit far to walk to (4 wheel drive was needed due to all the snow). Tahoe City is really nice to walk around, even in the middle of winter. Great location!!
