Location is perfect to the beach and downtown Grayton. The house was exactly as stated and comfortable. Parking is truly limited to one car in front of the unit. The secondary location for parking was often overflowing, which is something to keep in mind if you choose to bring 2 or more cars. The upstairs neighbors are sweet as can be and live there full time.

We recently stayed here, the house is gorgeous. It's a sweet cottage with a beautifully decorated beach feel. It's a great location, being right across from the pool and 3 doors down from the beach. Ted views were perfect and the feel was exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed at this property for a family wedding we went to in Seaside. First of all, the house is so clean. So well taken care of. Has plenty of kitchen things. Beautiful furnishings. Now, the location was perfect. The well taken care of pool was right across from the house. The ocean/beach was right down the street - very close. The porch was where we spent most of our time if we were at the house. The property manager answered any questions I had very quickly. It's a three bedroom, two bath house that you should not pass up if that's what you are looking for. We will definitely be back because not only the location, but the house.

The house was clean but needs a little updating. One of the kitchen cabinet doors was coming off the hinge, shower curtains need replacing (mildew), some light bulbs were out that need replacing and the towels need refreshing. They were old, fraying and dingy.Positives: location to the beach, pool right across the street and easy short walk to restaurants and a few shops.

Quaint house/short walk to beach
Gulf Winds-Down was a nice, quaint house to stay in for our Grayton Beach vacation. The beach was a 2 minute, easy (no steps) walk to the white sand, blue water beach. The shared swimming pool was directly across the street. The pool area was very clean and well taken care of. The street was a quiet street. It was so relaxing to sit on the front porch, rocking in the two rocking chairs or swinging on the extra large swing. Overall a very nice place to stay.

This was our first trip to Grayton Beach and Gulf Winds down was an amazing location to be close to everything. The kitchen was well stocked and the layout was comfortable and had plenty of useful thoughtful accents. I would definitely return.

The house was great and very close to the beach. We had a very relaxing vacation and would definitely stay here again. Parking could be a bit tricky at times but we managed just fine. Side note: Be sure to bring a sharp kitchen knife as the ones in the rental were quite dull.

I love Grayton Beach and have been coming since 1995 - I love nature and this is the perfect place for a nature lover! I rented a bike and a kayak and never used my car once I unloaded all that I had packed. The condo was a perfect spot for me too - was clean and has a wonderful porch swing and is located right across from the community pool and only 4 homes down from the boardwalk and inlet lake. I already booked my return !

Would Highly Recommend
This place was perfect for our family of 5. Spacious, clean, close to the beach, and will stay here again. We loved the front porch and sat out there every evening and drank a glass of wine as the kids would play and ride bikes down the road.

Love this place!
We have been coming to 30A for 20 years and this is our favorite place to stay! Location is perfect and place is lovely! We will be back to stay at Gulf Winds Down! As far as hearing people above like in a previous review, don’t let that stop you. They are a sweet couple that live there year round and you occasionally hear them walking but that is it!

Major construction going on across the street approximately 30 feet from my rental. Extremely loud noises from saws, hammering, and banging. We could hear people walking and in the above rental. I emailed Grayton Rentals to ask why we weren’t notified about the construction before our arrival and got no response. My grandchildren could not get naps in because it was so loud. We didn’t utilize the porch area.
Lastly, I left my keys at the location and was charged a ridiculous fee of $45 plus cost to ship them back to me. I asked to UPS because overnight is extremely high. However, they were shipped overnight and my total cost to get a small set of keys back was $89. Not happy. My daughter and I have been renting from GHR for the last 5 years for our family reunions. This will be my last year and will rent from someone else in the future.
Lastly, I left my keys at the location and was charged a ridiculous fee of $45 plus cost to ship them back to me. I asked to UPS because overnight is extremely high. Great stay!
We loved staying at Gulf Winds Down! The location is perfect (just steps away from the beach and across the street from the pool) and the condo was very comfortable and well appointed.
Just a couple of items of feedback (so they can be addressed before the next guests): The air conditioner was not working very well by the end of the week, and a couple of light bulbs burned out.
Overall, though, we absolutely loved our stay -- we'd definitely come back!

Great cottage in a great town. The beautiful Gulf Beach is further enhanced by the intersecting stream from Western Lake. Boardwalk access is best way to reach the white sand beach. The Cottage Street pool is a fine back up to Gulf swimming.

The condo is great overall. The location was perfect.This was our first time and Grayton, but it won't be the last, we loved it. Everyone we dealt with was very nice. The condo was clean and you folks could put on a clinic about how to properly stock a nice condo. Our only complaint was the noise. You can hear the upstairs neighbors' every step if you are trying to sleep, and the construction a few houses down was extremely loud when they cranked up. Other than the noise, it was perfect.

Loved Gulf Winds!!! We usually rent somewhere in Grayton and this was unanimously decided our favorite! Great location, comfy rooms/decor, across the street from the pool, probably 50 steps to sand and the clearest water! This is a great quiet street that once you park you can bike, walk, paddleboard, or run anywhere you want. I'm an avid tennis player and Seaside/watercolor courts have a daily first come, first serve clinic and round robin on the weekend. You really will fall in love with this rental and location. Kinda hate to share the news its such a hidden gem.

Heaven in Grayton
I have stayed at this property 4 different times! Needless to say, I will be going back again. It is in a perfect location for beautiful Grayton Beach. Just a few steps to the boardwalk, steps from the pool and a short walk to the Red Bar. The decor is lovely and you feel immediately at home lacking nothing in your kitchen. This unit does not allow pets which would be why I have never seen any animal hair and it is always perfectly spotless upon arrival! I would recommend this home to anyone who is trying to accommodate 6 people or less. I know that I will rent it EVERY time!! You will never make a mistake renting Gulf Winds Down!

It was a very relaxing opportunity. However, we lost many hours of sleep because of the moving around of people upstairs at all hours of the night. And for many hours of many nights. I don't know what the solution is. The place was very comfortable and homey. I guess if we were to try again we would want to rent the upst so that we could get a good nights sleep. Loved the porch swing. There was a lot of dark dog hair in the unit. Location was optimal. Grayton is the bomb!

Lovely property ideally located
Lovely 3 BR/2BA property on the ground floor, so suitable for all ages. Well-decorated and recently updated furnishings, fully stocked kitchen, and within a short walk of the beach, the Red Bar restaurant and shops. We loved walking down the boardwalk to the beach to watch the sunset and walk on the beach. Grayton Beach itself is a lovely little beach town with a lot of character. We will be back to this property!
