Everything is organized with the guest in mind. Great location a short walk to the Tahoe Park beach. The fenced back yard was our dog's favorite and provided a wonderful gathering space for friends and family.

This cabin has such a well appointed kitchen, it blew our minds. The place was clean and comfortable. It is the best ski cabin ever!

Our February stay was wonderful. The back yard was perfect for the kids to play out in the snow--they were even able to do some sledding down the snow banks--and the hot tub with the overhead market lights was a perfect way to end a chilly day. There was a ton of space (we had 6 adults and 2 kids), not only the bedrooms, but also a separate TV-watching area to the main living room, so people were able to spread out. It had a perfect cabin-y vibe while having all the amenities we wanted and a spacious kitchen. It's also very close to the town of Tahoe City (the lake was gorgeous) and to Homewood for skiing.
If you're unfamiliar with the area, one thing to be prepared for--on one of the days it was snowing very heavily. The main road plowing pushed snow into the side roads and we were unable to get our cars out--we got one SUV stuck in a snow bank and a neighbor kindly lent us their shovel. Thankfully, the next day, the street was plowed. This was not particular to this one street--all the side streets were dealing with this. Thankfully, there was a lot to entertain us in the house, including a bunch of games the owners left (the "Would you rather" game had the adults cackling). There was a bus or shuttle that let people off at the top of the street--it would be easy to walk to the main road from this property to catch it if you needed to.
Everyone agreed that next time, we'll come for longer and everyone would like to stay in this property again.

We had an amazing time staying at this property with 6 adults, 2 babies and a dog. This place has everything you need for visiting Tahoe and it’s about a 5 min walk to the Lake (longer when you’re wading through 6 feet of snow). The roads were well plowed and the driveway fit 3 cars (it was a tight squeeze though).
There are 4 good size bedrooms, tons of blankets and towels, and many different rooms you can hang out in. In the winter when it’s snowed in, access to the hot tub can be limited to only from the Master Bedroom because the backyard is tough to wade through if there is heavy snow - so be careful if you plan to put an infant to sleep there is what we learned!
I have never seen a vacation home stacked with such an incredible kitchen. They have a ton of spices and a roll out spice rack plus very fancy cooking gear - everything you would need at home and more! The only thing we were missing was a toaster but we made it work. Two ovens, blenders, an excellent dishwasher, and tons of fridge space made it a breeze to cook every meal at the cabin.
The host is warm and inviting, very responsive, and genuinely seems to care that you enjoy your time here. If you want a cozy cabin experience that’s great for the fam - this is the perfect place for you and it looks even better in person than the pictures here showed!

House has a great set up with a large deck, hot tub and sitting area for a group to enjoy. House was very clean and has everything you could possibly need to cook. Owners were very easy to communicate with!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Way Chalet. The location was absolutely perfect for us to attend our nephew's weekend wedding celebrations without the hassle of trying navigate traffic or distance since the venue was approximately 350 ft from the driveway!
The convenience of the fully stocked kitchen and household items was truly appreciated. The ambiance of the home and the luxuries of being in a well loved home made us feel as though we were in our own cabin (sadly we lost in the Dixie Fire last year).
We were all very relaxed and comfortable. We would most definitely rent your lovely home again if the opportunity arises.
Also, we have friends who are Dutch and we noticed the small wooden shoes with Orange Power riding in the right shoe; loved it!

I live in San Francisco, but I met my college friends in Tahoe for 4 nights. The place is awesome, with everything you need for a great vacation, such as lots of bedrooms, TVs, hot tub, and close proximity to resorts. I highly recommend this rental!

Deborah and her home were absolutely incredible. The place was so cozy and so much bigger and better than what the pictures displayed. There is plenty of room and the bedrooms area all very spacious. Short 10 minute drive to ski mountains and a short walk to the lake. Located close to awesome restaurants as well. The house had everything we could ever need and more. Deborah was so kind and accommodating. This is the only place I will stay at in Lake Tahoe. Cannot recommend enough!

The Way Chalet was the perfect place for our family ski getaway, located on the West Shore it is minutes from Palisades Tahoe or Homewood, both were excellent and had lots of snow! The house itself has everything we needed - warm fireplace, well stocked kitchen with ever kind of tool you would need for any sort of cooking / baking. And just a few blocks away on foot is the spectacular Lake Tahoe itself, with a nice park there on the beach for walking and exploring. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this property and the owner for making our vacation great.

We stayed over the Thanksgiving week. The pictures do not do the cabin justice! Much larger in person. The kitchen was completed stocked for all our cooking needs. Gorgeous location one block from the beach. Easy, beautiful walk to Tahoe City. Gorgeous fully fenced back yard with great hot-tub. We loved staying here and will definitely be back.

I don't feel like the pictures do this home justice. This place was fantastic and we couldn't stop commenting on it all weekend. More than anything we were so pleased with how furnished it was and how pleasant that made our experience. There's no "bad" room or less than setup. Each arrangement was absolutely ideal and so much thought went into each room and bathroom. Everything from the location to amentities made this rental wonderful.

This place was the perfect weekend getaway for our multigenerational family. It is close to the lake, parks, resorts, hiking, & food. It is also a lovely, clean, and comfy home with a hot tub, reliable internet, kitchen supplies, and clean towels & linens. And, the owners were super helpful and easy to communicate with. We loved this cabin! Our family had more than enough space in the two hang out areas and bedrooms. The hot tub was immaculate and the fenced backyard perfect for our dog. Being a few blocks from the lake was amazing (and not having to cross highway 89). Kitchen had everything we needed - more than enough dishes and cookware. Walking to Sunnyside and West Shore market was lovely too. We would absolutely love to come back to this cabin in the future.

My family of 6 (3 generations)enjoyed a wonderful stay in the Way Chalet! The home is updated, has terrific mountain decor and was spacious allowing for family time as well as personal space. Awakening to Snow snowers was fun and with the large kitchen window a delight to cook breakfast watching snowflakes! The lake is just a short walk down the street, about 5 minutes, 10 for Grandma. Our dogs had a blast in the snow with the fenced yard as we enjoyed the large hot tub. The owner, Debbie, was an excellent communicator, much appreciated. We hope to return!

We needed a last min getaway to see the snow and found Way Chalet and enjoyed the pictures , reviews and on top of it the HOT TUB! I saw this cabin had everything to offer but you just want to plan just incase WELL WHEN WE SHOWED IT THIS CABIN LITERLALLY HAD IT ALL . The only thing I would recommend is having small waters available as checking in but that’s they only thing I could say! This place is beautiful and the location is PERFECT ! We have a 8 & 9 year old and they loved the double bunks and the whole cabin, even having their own TV area . Mins away from anything! This place is hands down amazing and would recommend to anyone. It’s very spacious !

Perfect location for most major ski resorts. Amazingly clean and very safe, even the hot tub was not dirty and a true pleasure to enjoy after a long day in the snow. Well stocked kitchen with appliances and slept our whole party quite well. Would love to stay again for longer!

Our stay at the Way Chalet was very nice. It was the perfect size, fully stocked and a good location. It's close to Homewood for skiing, close to downtown Tahoe City (but far enough away to be private) and a Sno-Park is about 5-minutes away for sledding on your own. We had no issues with the property, amenities, access and/or neighbors. The Owner of the property was very responsive, organized and detailed which was very much appreciated. We would recommend this place to a friend or family. Thanks for a great weekend.

We had a wonderful time. I felt like we were in the perfect spot to do everything that we enjoy in Tahoe. From swimming in the morning, to hiking or walking the dog into town, to grilling and enjoying the sonos in the evening and watching movies at night it was absolutely perfect. We love the new general store within walking distance. We went there for ice cream a few times. I really like being on the lake side of the 89. So easy. Thank you so much for creating such a warm and well thought out home and especially for sharing it with us.

This was the perfect home for us based on the location, instead of piling into the cars daily we could walk to the lovely private beach which was perfect for us! Family friendly beach with a great play area for the kids, we enjoyed each day at the beach. The house was very roomy and well appointed and the fenced yard was ideal for the dogs.

From kitchen, to bedrooms, to beach needs to fenced yard, outdoor living, and much more. Location location location!!! Everything thing you need is walking distance. We had a great time at the Way Chalet! The cabin is beautiful and as described in the listing. It is fully equipped and in great condition. We had some trouble connecting to the Wi-fi and the owner helped us right away solving the problem for us. Walking distance to the lake and stores. We will definitive come back!

This is the perfect Tahoe cabin. Restaurants and lake within walking distance. All the conveniences of home, but still with a rustic cabin feel. Nice fenced yard for the dog. Awesome hot tub.
